  1. I'm saving this as evidence that you're a bridge-dwelling troll.
  2. Currently, my family is still on holiday in Washington state. I just learned about an incident at the local "Mart of Walls" in our hometown. I'm just writing to say that I heard from a relative, and nobody in our extended family was hurt.
  3. I recently learned of a cookbook which is scheduled to be released in October. It's being written by a Danish teenager. Max said that he's very cute.
  4. I have too many cookbooks as it is.
  5. We've been having similar issues over in Headstall's Paddock. Random comments---and once, an entire page---disappear for a while. Then, they pop up again as mysteriously as they disappeared. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it.
  6. He said they were very tasty. We also visited Dahlia Bakery in Seattle. (Our local library has a copy of their cookbook.)
  7. Tomorrow's our last day of vacation. We saw the Olympic National Forest, Seattle and Tacoma, Mt. Rainier...Oh, and can’t forget about the whales. We ate lunch one day at Von's 1000 Spirits, a gastropub with pizzas and burgers. Max, of course, couldn't leave the city without trying some oysters.
  8. Hey, Tea Bat! I'm enjoying a blend called Ruby Beach. Assam tea leaves, Pacific Northwest Peppermint, Washington cherries, and lemon peel.
  9. Just make sure it's the right kind of bad---not the kidnappers from Taken. Unless you have a kink for that. 👀
  10. We'll be staying until the 26th.
  11. I also can't find my post about buying a bracelet. What on Earth is happening?
  12. I'm pretty certain that cone is filled with mashed potatoes. That's what they do to shoot ice cream ads. Using actual ice cream, across many dozens of takes, would result in a metric ton of soupy cream.
  13. I just bought a bracelet with a whale charm carved into one of the beads. There's a QR code in the packaging that lets you track a particular animal with an app.
  14. Drew would be the right height...but he doesn't have whiskers or red hair.
  15. Yup, that's why I said "watched". Past tense. Hopefully, he can get some better roles (or at least a better script) in the future. Getting back on track, I learned that on September 9th, a new book will be released, titled "Pasta Girls", by Taylor Tracy. The story follows two girls, Romea and Julianna, who befriend each other at the San Genaro Festival, with the possibility of becoming more. Both girls live in New York City. Both of their families own a casual Italian restaurant...and then they realize the two restaurants are located on opposite sides of the same street. Yep. it's a queer, middle grade version of "Romeo and Juliet", dressed up with spaghetti and meatballs. As silly as it sounds, I'd love to read it once it's available.
  16. The only reason I watched that show is because of the eye candy that is Gavin Casalegno.
  17. One of the whales surfaced a bit too close to the boat, so the pilot cut the engine. Our guide informed us that the whale was a female humpback. She rolled over to one side, so her eye was above the water level. She was probably curious about the tiny creatures on their floating thing. She stayed for two, three minutes or so, then dived down under the waves. We had to wait a bit before we were sure she was truly gone. I'll never forget that experience. The pupil of her eye was as big as the hubcaps on our rental car.
  18. We went on a whale-watching tour yesterday. It was so amazing!
