We're having an "Opening Day" pizza from The Filling Station. Roasted garlic, onions, carrots, and parsnips, with venison sausage.
There's also a carrot cake pizza on the Specials board. It has carrot curd, gingersnap granola, cream cheese frosting, toasted coconut, and golden raisins. I know where to go for dessert tomorrow.
According to Desmond is Amazing, his mom is a former Animal Care Specialist from the Army's 91st. "Mama" Amazing's brother fought in Desert Storm, and her father served in Vietnam, as well. An all-around "Amazing" family.
I saw a restaurant featured on a TV show, where they make pasta fresh, daily. The pasta was made by hand in an isolated room with countertop-to ceiling windows. Looked like sheets of freshly washed laundry hanging out dry. I'd love to do something like that, where you can watch the food being made.
Hey, Dugh, Mum, and Thistle. We have somewhere between 5 to 8 inches of snow (just a guess based on how much I had to stomp off my boots when I got home), and the weather calls for another 1.75 inches. Currently, the temperature is 26 F/ -3.3 C, with cloudy skies. Also, there's a storm warning in effect until 6:00 a.m. tomorrow.
Hey, Bertie. How are you and Steve?
