Who loves kidnapping men and tying them up? I can see it. I love when they go Trick-or-Treating for Halloween.

Amending my earlier staement, I do love a good challenge, though. I'm not afraid to try new recipes and play with my food.

I'm the same way with my cooking. I like simple, easy dishes that you can put together quickly. But every so often, you need to make something fancy to make it all worthwhile. My favorite moments are the scenes with the "Devil Face"! So wonderfully scary! And I'm not commenting on Val's possible obsessions.

OMG, I love that show! Sorry to hear about your mom. We're doing well. Mickey LOVES the tree fort! He and Remy use it a lot when they visit, which is almost every weekend.

I like to roast it simply with salt, pepper, and olive oil, then pair it with a nice Hollandaise sauce.

Not usually, but there's a community course available at the Great Lakes Maritime Academy, next month. It's a cooking course, featuring asparagus recipes. Apparently Cheboygan, Michigan, is the second-largest producer in the U.S.

Glad to hear it. We're all doing well. My nephew, Grant, is turning one year old on Sunday. Deirdre is having a birthday brunch at the old house to celebrate.

Well, it's good to see that Gabe has pulled his head out. Richie, though, might need a harder pull before he sees the light. Gabe seems very intuitive of Richie and Freddy's feelings for each other. I can see that the road still has some rocks and bumps to clear before Richie stops thinking of his father as "just a sperm donor", though.

Hey, Xander, Dennis, Jordan, and Ash! And hello to the kids! *waves* I have a recipe for an Elotes salad. It's based off of Mexican street corn, with chili powder, lime juice, mayo, and Cotija cheese. I think I'll make that for dinner tomorrow, thanks for reminding me! I'm sure Jordan and Ash are rambunctious enough to make up for it.

Hey, Albert. Shame about not having chocolate. Cocoa powder has its uses, but I try to avoid it if I can. Adding a bit of brewed coffee can remove the "chalky" taste, and deepen the flavor.
