Not the temperature, unfortunately. Other than that, I'm working on a short story about two young men who fall in love when they go on a missionary trip to Mexico. The leaders of their evangelical church aren't pleased when the relationship is exposed, but the boys find some allies in unexpected places.
I thought I'd share this one, because it's one of my favorites. The reason why it's my favorite, is because it aims for lighthearted comedy, instead of drama or heartache.
Remember Alec in WILDerland? He grew up, but this message is still needed 6 years later. Thanks to the efforts of people like Alec, or the Irwin family, we learn how important these animals are.
Dad jokes = bad jokes.
I think Gary is assuming (I did, too) that you planted the seeds directly in the ground. Most gardeners would start with a small flowerpot for propagation, then move to a gradually larger pot until it reaches a "mature" sapling stage.
My dad has a high school buddy who grows lots of fruit. Mostly cherries, but some apples, peaches, plums, and pears, too. The peaches are good, but the Japanese pears are amazeballs, to borrow a word from @Dayne Mora. Shockingly, the guy doesn't do a thing with the pears. There were only a dozen trees planted, so he doesn't even bother to pick them, never mind sell them.
