  1. The Romans used lemon oil as a perfume for both men and women.
  2. My brother once tried to grow a tree from an avocado pit. Most of the world's avocados come from California or Mexico, but we're in Michigan.
  3. Hello, Albert.
  4. The young man in the thumbnail is really eye-catching.
  5. Hopefully I won't cause an international incident by ordering eggs at a restaurant.
  6. Hey, Val. Hey, Gary.
  7. Bonjour, mon ami! I got it right!
  8. Australians are so bluntly honest. I love it!
  9. @Comicality This kid looks almost exactly like Ruel! His name is Cameron Pearman, from Perth, Australia. Poor kid went surfing with his cousin one morning, and got bit by a shark! He handled it like a trooper, though. 11. @Comicality He has great moves. But now I wonder, how does he dance offstage, in private settings?

I love Shane's character. My family went on vacation to Florida several times, and we stayed in a rental house once when I was....nine, I think? An aunt and uncle who lived close by dropped in for a visit, and one of my cousins was also a "master of the wind-up". Haven't seen them in years, but I'd love to get in touch. Thanks for reminding me, you crazy old goat.
  13. It was delicious. Even with the mushrooms.
  14. You BRAT! I didn't do anything! Hey, Texas Cutie!
  15. I remember "La Grenouille" from NCIS. That was a comment about frogs, maybe even their legs? I don't think you're actually supposed to put a shepherd in the casserole, Albert. That would explain the screaming.
  16. We're getting a little cracked, aren't we?
  17. Sounds good. Chicken Marsala with linguine noodles for us. I never really liked chicken (or mushrooms, for that matter) before, but judging from the smell in the kitchen, I might try this recipe again.
  18. You guys are gonna jump on that like the "black hole" thing, is that it?
  19. I've had crepes and omelettes at Patisserie Amie, downtown. They're eggstraordinary.
  20. Yes, it started out in Switzerland, but it's become a gray area nowadays. In France, I believe it's called a Raclette, like the cheese.
  21. All your talk about food caused me to end up at an article describing a man's experience in France. He ordered "doux oeufs le plat", thinking he'd receive two fried eggs--he received six. Apparently, because "oeufs" is plural, that was interpreted as an order of four eggs And In this particular establishment, a plate of eggs is customarily served with one extra, bringing the total up to six. The waitress was greatly offended at the poor American tourist who couldn't remember what he'd ordered.
  22. You mean like...knowing the etiquette for eating cheese fondue?
  23. Apparently I need to work harder on my language skills.
