It's 29 F/ -1.6 C outside. But the wind chill makes it feel like 16F/ -8.8. 🥶 🥶 🥶 I don't want to go to work today, but I already told my boss I'd be there, if a bit late.

Christmas may have come early this year. I just found out that the local library increased the borrowing limit from 40 items, to 100 items. (I'm not sure I could even handle that many.)

Cloves are welcome in a gingerbread cake, or a chai latte. But poking whole cloves into a ham, just....it ends up tasting like the ham was cooked in cough syrup.

Cloves?! I mean, I appreciate the thought, Nicky, but cloves do not belong on a ham. I'm preparing a honey mustard glaze for the ham, actually. Also on the menu: potatoes au gratin, broccoli salad, sweet potato hash with pecan topping, cranberry jam, and bread that I baked last night. Naturally, there's pumpkin pie and pecan pie for dessert.
