Isn’t that the truth. I got the nevermind album off my cousin who bought it but decided it wasn’t for him (he was in his 20s in 91 and was firmly entrenched in gen x) I was like 10 and it was on cassette but I listened to it anyway.
i remember in middle school there was this group of kids who would later end up being the grunge stoners who were all in because they had just found it and this was like 96 and I was like “the fuck have yall been?” 😂
I didn’t fit in with that group persay but hung out with em anyway. Probably because I had a crush on one of them. 🤷🏻♂️
My dad definitely didn’t like it but let me keep it, but he was hot and cold with his own demons and he couldn’t decide if Jesus was powerful enough to save em from it. The church services were always entertaining at least. The old man raging from the pulpit about brimstone from the heavens to take care of the heathens, and he’d go at it till he was red in the face. Sometimes I wondered if he needed a cigarette after the those performances. 😂
