  1. Monday came with a hangover. Not from the vodka — I’d actually been responsible about that — but from The Kiss. Capital T, capital K. My phone had twenty-three unread messages, four missed calls, one tag I’d been untagged from before I even saw it, and one horribly lit photo that had already made its rounds through three group chats, two Instagram stories, and (I’m guessing) my mother’s morning coffee scroll. So yeah. Good times. “Skylar Jordan River Montgomery!” my mother bellow
  2. Thanks! I'm currently attempting updates as we speak, hopefully something will come out of them 😂
  3. Definitely going to read this. Thanks for the heads up.

    Chapter 22

Part of me wants to be mean and says he deserves it for this posting schedule he's got you on but ugh I'm not mean.

    Chapter 22

Don't I wish. I mean she says its almost over but it feels like we barely just got going lmao.
  6. I appreciate it, it's a hard topic no matter what your reading. Hopefully I won't need to do this again, although there's this other story.... Trust me it's not as bad as Simon, it's about finding hope but it's such a long road to walk. But that one is still stuck in the prefab stages if I ever manage to write it.
  7. So I just want to give thanks to everyone who did read this, and everyone who will probably read it in the future. Maybe now I can go back to my somewhat happy stories, I found a chapter of Just Maybe I forgot I was writing and it's good, I also need to get Encrypted wrapped up and I really need to pull deep and find that "funny" for I'm Gay: A Nifty Story. It's my goal to get those stories to their finish lines, because I've got some interesting stuff I may have on the back burners. I also really need to finish Life in Suspension, but I'm not there yet.
  8. I thought about what Chapters 8 through 12 would be like should I chose to write them and I would say, things would definitely be easier for the both of them. Elijah would probably start seeing Dr. Marsh just so he could vent the last couple of months, even though he's stronger than Simon is. Simon would get back into music, both playing and composing and be using that NYC scene to help his aspirations. Elijah would be finishing college, and there would be trips to visit both sets of parents, Elijah would be in awe of the Hamptons, while Simon would get mothered by Elijah's mom who would try to teach him to cook as well. Rowan would still be a memory for both guys, and possibly cause both to give back to those who need help like Simon did, and more importantly help those who where traveling down the road Rowan went down. But their relationship would last a life time, till they where old and boring because neither wanted to leave the house unless it was absolutely necessary lol.
  9. Thank you. So thankfully addiction to drugs and alcohol are not one of my dark spots, some of the other stuff, probably yes. I've seen and helped a few people go through recovery, so I pulled a lot from that. When I started writing this story I was in a dark moment, almost as bad as Simon's but writing this kind of helped me vent that darkness if that makes sense? So that I was able to get through it without hurting myself. Usually if you see dark stuff come out of me that's what it is, just a pressure release valve so it doesn't all stay inside. And you are correct, I wouldn't wish what Simon went through on my arch enemy, nobody should have to go through that but it's unfortunate that sometimes people do. And it's really hard to talk about. I ended up getting permission from the admins and let them read most of the story before I posted it here because I didn't want to break any rules, but at the same time at some point someone is going to come on this site looking for something they can connect with, and if this is one of those works that helps someone else go through their own dark days, then I did something good, even if it was painful for me to finish.
  10. Thanks I appreciate it. And the ego thanks you too lol. I didn't expect a lot of people to read it, but sometimes a story needs to be there for the few that'll need it the most in the future. Thanks for being able to handle the hard stuff and see it to the end.
  11. I'm so glad you caught that. If Simon hadn't been so damned stubborn almost all the crap he went through probably wouldn't have happened, but then he may not have met Elijah. If he had actually listened to it sooner, yeah it would have changed things by quite a bit.
  12. It wasn't. I actually had to let this chapter sit for a month after writing it so I could come back and see if it needed changes. It didn't lol. This whole story has just been "ugh" from a 'hard to write stand point but it's out of me and that's what I needed.
  13. And that's a wrap. This didn't need to take as long as it did to publish and for that I apologize. Slowly I'm going to continue to update and close out these stories so it's not hanging over my head, which is causing me to not write. But at least this one is done, it was only ever meant to be 7 chapters so I'm kinda glad I stuck to that.
  14. The past few weeks had been brutal. The change in meds turned me upside down, inside out, and spun me around so many times I couldn’t tell which way was up. Through every mood swing, mind tantrum, and tear-soaked night, Elijah never wavered. Through the fog, he stayed my constant — a lighthouse in the storm, keeping me from shattering completely against the rocks. None of this would have been possible without him. Eventually, though, something shifted. Slowly, almost imperceptibly, th
  15. I’m actually going to try using this because I use google docs as well. Plus I’m stuck in a quagmire when it comes to writing in general before my readers start poking me with sticks to see if I have a pulse. Maybe if I use it as a goal to set I can actually get something done. Of course that totally depends on me actually getting out of bed to even try. 😂

    Chapter 19

    Absolutely well said!
  17. I honestly don’t have the words to do this review justice without sounding like I tried too hard to sound coherent, it’s a hard subject not only to read but I bet to write as well. Behind the wit, sarcasm and pure comedy this author puts out is the harsh reality a lot of us wouldn’t dare put out.

    Chapter 1

Damn, and the truth shall set you free. Absolutely well done. Now just need to get you to sit down and write a multi chapter epic containing no less than 175,000 words ❤️🙂
  19. Jeff Burton

    Chapter 19

I totally relate to that one. That’s pretty much where I’m heading in that story you like that I haven’t updated in a while. Not all of it is bad/terrible/dangerous it’s just a certain type of person or group of people that make it seem that way.

    Chapter 1

This is totally me too. I blame my PC, it judges me so much I don’t want to sit next to it anymore lol Great job as always.
  21. Oh crap, I'm on this list too. ...And it has a number 2 spot for it's category. WHY ARE PEOPLE READING THAT? And does this mean I should probably update it!? Definitely feeling the pressure lol.

    Aberration

Maybe I should try that. I mean come on with my ideas it'd be something.

Still working on it man, IRL has been getting in my way and time ticks faster than I like at this point. To me it was yesterday when I posted this lol.
  25. Yeah I know. I was thinking about this the other day, I even had Chris in my head knocking from the inside saying something along the lines of "HELLO IM STILL IN LIMBO HERE?!" I need to do something with this one.
