The rule of no bonding in the same affiliation is interesting, and in a species with such specialized divisions, prevents each affiliation from specializing so much that they would diverge and become a different species. Something tells me the nanobots didn't stop with the hand... I wonder if a malfunction in recognizing a human will result in a 3rd pair of members.

Well, I understand forbidding Avery from coming to the camp for a while, but doen't Greg realize that by agreeing with Lee's argument he is implicitly agreeing with Lee that he is not worthy enough to deserve happiness, or someone like Avery? Not the best move if Greg wants to build up Lee self esteem.

I hope Harlan ends up following Lee. He knows hard times. Joseph, for a cop, didn't have much presence of spirit, they leave Lee, knowing the problems he has, even without questioning him first. Not the smartest move, even if they thing that the drugs came from Lee, someone should at least thing he could go take more or something,so silence try pain and fear he feels for Avery.

Another great story, as Gary can do. It has a bit of drama and doubts, but doesn't drag the plot, while still allowing us to peel several layers of the characters. A good day themed western.

I agree, those kids maybe be poor but are loved, so at least the families are decent. The Sanctuary kids know intellectually that he cares about them, but for their well being they need too feel it too, and that requires time. Brad is a good guy but sometimes he behaves as if throwing money at things was enough, more activities, more things, more upgrades... But his attention cannot be focused on everything. He needs to rethink why is he doing it? Is it for his own feels of "being good" and "doing right", or is it for the kids themselves, the abandoned and abused bythe society that didn't have a family? I think his father might be a good person to give him a reality check.

Ok about hoarding. The store I go probably isn't great, but can someone explain me why all, and I mean ALL, type of cleaning products rimmed perilously low or disappeared altogether from the shelves in March (and some of them still only exist half of the time)... House cleaning products cI can understand, although being out of all floor cleaners is a bit much, but dishwasher soap?? Even doing the double of meals at home with working from home doesn't explain it... Were people run the dishwasher like crazy to kill covid in the leftovers from their own cooked meals? Sometimes I thought people might be eating soap and drinking bleach...

You could father as many kids as you want, but I think there is laws that regulate the max number of kids you can adopt. And that would force them to deal with the Family and Child Court, which they have been avoiding so far... We will have to see how it goes.

I think you can contact the administrator, like @Cia or @Myr and they can help you delete this chapter, since it's repeated and out of place.

Lololol, first time I made a comment last chapter and I was wrong this time 😅 Tony is gay after all, and Brad might be slightly interested, although he is busy at the moment. We will see how it goes...

Well, I was hoping for a Brad and Tony match up, but now we know that at least Tony likes the girls. In most of "rescue/sanctuaries" stories I have read, one on the weaknesses I normally find is that the adult normally ends up alone, devoting all the time to the kids but being kind of an assexual character. That's something that I have seen in different stories and with several authors. Almost as if there was a fear of having adults with loving, sexual, and consensual relationships (particularly gay ones) in a story with children. I actually think that it would be good for the kids to see that relationship are good, that the abuse they suffered is not the same as having a loving, age appropriate, relationship. So now I am hoping for anoo possible romantic interest for Brad (we don't know if he is gay, but hope he is). Maybe Andy, he is an adult now, almost 20, and if Brad left college to start the sanctuary, he probably is in his early to middle 20s, so close in age.

I'm probably an atheist, but grew up in a catholic country and did first communion, so had religion classes (like Sunday school). I always asked questions and lets say that even for religious people incest was not something easy to explain to kids. So imagine me trying to explain what you learn in school mixed with catechism... People/monkeys sex was involved... It made more sense to my 8 years old self than brothers and sisters (ewh). 😂

Well as a rule of thumb... Adventures that can get you to bed for a couple of hours: Good. Adventures that can get you stuck to a bed for a couple of months: Bad. Simple
