  1. Thanks, KD_stories for reading and for the comment. I'm glad you found it enjoyable.
  2. A fitting end to the trilogy. All three books were interesting in their own right. The same unique writing style, but you can tell the Author grew as a writer over the three books. An excellent read, for all three stories.

  3. Yeah, we have a place here in Tampa that is somewhat like that. Ybor City our historic district turned club scene, has an unofficial name of Gaybor City. Also, over off of South Howard Ave., aka SoHo. My Son is in downtown Tampa, a stone's throw from both areas.
  4. This week's topic is something I've noticed in a lot of GLBT-themed stories: Oversaturation of Homosexual Characters. Just something I've noticed lately. In several stories I've read around the net and checked out from the library, they seem to have an overpopulation of GLBT characters. If the story has Heterosexual Characters, they typically are secondary characters or the main antagonist of the story overall. This got me thinking about my own stories. Am I doing this intentionally, or subconsciously because I'm a Gay Man, and want to write about GLBT characters in my stories? Is this doing a disservice to myself, and to my readers, by not including more heterosexual characters as major characters and not antagonists? I'm guilty as charged. In my Tampa Chronicles series, I've introduced eight GLBT characters over three books (two published, one soon to be), with another planned for book four of the series. In the series, I've made heterosexual characters into the villains of the story. But does that reflect the real world? My #1 source for stats, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, estimates according to census data and studies, that only 13% of the USA total Population is GLBT. I'm a gay man, who both writes and reads GLBT-Fiction and loves seeing gay characters. However, in the future, I'm going to try to be more diverse in my stories. So, what about you all? What do you think on this week's topic?
  5. A great continuation of the storyline from the first of the trilogy. The storyline is still just as interesting as the first book, and the plot twists that develop in this one make the world bigger than in the first. Unlike the first book, there wasn't a lot of angst that seemed out of place. Even with the "dark" tag and warning, I didn't feel the story needed the warning. It does have dark undertones, but hey, it's war.

  6. I love how we each put different words in the blanks, and how it changes the meaning of the sentences. Similiar, but different at the same time.
  7. Thank you, Def. TC3 is done, and is the editing process. Should be posted soon. It is a single chapter only.
  8. Thank you for reading, agent D. I'm hoping Tibot grows on you all.

  11. Interesting storyline, with a unique style of writing. Too much angst at times, but still good.

This poem is fantastic. You can see the different stages, from self-doubt, in the beginning, to hope and love at the end. A lot of emotions tied up in three stanzas. Excellent job.
  13. Happy Birthday!!!
  14. 682 is a good one. I'm going to add that to my practice lists.
  15. Like Northie, I think there is a lack of stories that deal with GLBT in the upper range of age. I've read some good ones, but they are few and far between. I'm writing one now that deals with a man in his 40's, who's a disabled veteran. I do feel this age-gap in stories is also something that is deeply seated in the gay culture and its Ageism bias. (As in, the gay culture praises 20-somethings, and looks down on anyone over 25.) Stories about Gay Heterophobes/Christianphobes. Shining light on the idiots who discriminate against straights, and people of religion. There are some more political based stories I think should happen. There is more than one-side in politics and reading the same one-sided crap over and over again ad nauseam is getting pretty old.
  16. An excellent story. Long, but worth the effort.

    Summer Break 2018

Yes. Been helping around my Uncle's place with those Summer Projects. I've found that even after you finish one, two or three more get added to the list. May your summer be free of stress, and may you have time to get all your projects done.
  18. I think what you're describing is something many of us who have Bipolar and depression face. There are times I'll sit down to do a practice piece, because my main project stories are just not talking to me, and they turn into some dark story, that I wonder where they came from. Those get shifted quickly to the "Never to be published" file, and I try to find something else to write about, or I put some music one or something to try to change my mood. I have spoken with my therapist before about this, and he's always wanted to talk to me to find out what the cause of them was. I hope you can work it out for yourself. I don't have any words of wisdom to give you, but I will wish you all the best.
  19. I read this story a little over a year ago and realized today I hadn't left a review. Re-reading the story, I can see why I liked it before. The story features Hani, a genetic experiment whose outcome was not expected. In the short five chapters, he experiences a range of adventures, that leads to... I'll let you read it to find out. Excellent story, a must read.
  20. A very erotic story, that was well written and has some excellent visuals from the descriptions. A fun read.

The ending was not what I was expecting. I loved the story, and I feel sad for Adam.
