  1. Like I said in the status update, the story will continue. The notes are going to come into play.
  2. Thanks, miss molly. I appreciate the support you've given me since we started talking in the DIC. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.
  3. Thank you, dughlas. I believe there will be more. Just need to get them written.
  4. I'm still using Word 2007. MS still updates it on every update for Win10, so I see no reason to change. If I did, I would either use Google Docs, or OpenOffice.
  5. Thank you, for reading Smoothy. I appreciate the comment and the reactions.
  6. Thank you, Daddydavek. I'm glad you're hooked on it. I have notes for more chapters, and yes the grandparents being asses is part of them.
  7. Thank you very much, deville, for reading and for the comment. It is a huge deviation from my normal writings, even with what I don't post on GA. But, I am glad it was successful.
  8. Thank you, very much Sweetlion. I'm glad you enjoyed the story. Yeah, Adam being well off, did help make things easier. In the additional notes, I made for the story, there are somethings that come out about Adam and his cash flow. Also, what Robert went through with his maternal family.
  9. LOL. I do have notes for more chapters, but as I mentioned above, just not sure if/when I'll get back to this story to post more.
  10. Doh. I forgot about the Rowdies. Soccer just hasn't been on my Radar, and I forgot they brought the team back.
  11. Thank you for reading, and for the comment, Ivor slipper. Part of it is Adam not really knowing what it means to be a Parent. He's had a month to get used to the idea, and not written into the story, but he's done his research by reading parenting books of teens and talking to his Mom about it. Her advice was to toss out the books, be reasonable, get what Rob needed, be there for him because he's still grieving, and remember what it was like for him to be a gay teenager. I have some more notes, to make some additional chapters, just not sure if/when I'll post another. Which is why I went ahead listed it as completed.
  12. Thank you, JeffreyL, for both reading and the feedback. I do have more notes to add additional chapters, so I can revisit Adam and Rob later on. I marked the story as complete, as I didn't know If/when I would get back to this story, but I do agree there are so many possibilities.
  13. Thank you for reading Spikey. I've read stories like that as well, and I knew I didn't want all that drama and angst.
  14. Thank you for reading, BabyXander. I'm a Tampa native, born and raised here. I've eaten at all of the restaurants you've named and wanted to showcase our town in the story. There is no other sports team in Tampa, besides the Lightning. Well, not until the Rays move from St. Pete, and maybe then I'll get into Baseball. (I don't acknowledge that team, that plays in Raymond James. Next time they threaten to leave Tampa, I'll throw them a going away party.)
  15. Thanks, jp. I appreciate the feedback, my friend, and yeah it's a big departure from normal.
  16. Thank you, Mike. I'm very glad you gave me the nudge when I was having issues. I agree Adam is a bit too lenient, and I believe he would tighten up more as things progressed.
  17. Thank you for reading, and for the feedback, tinytoes. It is appreciated.
  18. Thank you, Mac. I'm glad you enjoyed the story, and that I was able to pull off the bond well.
  19. Thank you, Reader. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  20. Thank you very much, tim. I had a blast writing it.
  21. It was Monday, February 5, 2018, when Adam Smith opened the door and let the woman in. He had spoken with her earlier that morning and had been on an emotional roller coaster since. “Please come in. Would you like something to drink? Coffee, tea, water?” “No thank you, but I appreciate the offer,” Sylvia Cramer said. She smiled as he shut the door behind them. She looked around the house, taking in the sights. It was her job as a social worker for the Florida Department of Children and Famil

Adam Smith is a successful businessman, who recently came home to Tampa, Fl. Retired at age 38, living in a newly constructed house, he feels like he's set for a new chapter in his life, with plans to set up a Micro-Brewery. That all changes when he gets a call from the Florida Department of Children and Families.
  23. Has anyone heard of LitRPG? I know I've read a couple of fantasy pieces, that was sorta game like, and I had planned on doing a premium story for GA set in an Online Gameworld. But, this is the first I've heard of a whole new genre dedicated to it. From what I'm read, its a full narration of a gameworld, with both in-game, and out-of-game characters and scenes. Discussions on leveling up, gaming power, etc. occur in the story as well. Personally, I like the idea, and format of it.
  24. I've read this now, at least six times. Each time, it brings tears to my eyes, knowing that Evil in this world exists to such an extent, that it not only happened, but people deny that it did. A very powerful piece of work, tim.
  25. Thank you for the advice and insight. However, I have two basic questions. I don't write porn, so why would Nifty be useful to me? Are there other sites, besides GA, that you or GA staff would recommend for cross-posting? Internet security, how do you handle that? We had a fellow author, and GA member just last week, or two, talked about how he had a Stalker track him down. There's a degree of anonymity that I want to keep for myself, due to legal reasons, while trying to spread my craft further. How would one go about that? Would the use of Pen Names, be useful in such situations? Thanks again.
