TC3 - Chapter 1: Meet Jeremy
Brayon commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC3 - Chapter 1: Meet Jeremy
That's an Idea. I was thinking about tossing it up as a Prologue as well. Dramatis Personae like. -
Thanks, Myr!

I noticed yesterday when I got a reaction to a Story Review I left, that it seems this is functioning now, as the Author responded to another member's review. Are we allowed to start using it? I know there were some issues as addressed above, but want to make sure it was cool to go ahead.

I should have it done soon, and I'll post it as something... lol. Haven't figured out where to stick it yet. -
TC3 - Chapter 1: Meet Jeremy
Brayon commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC3 - Chapter 1: Meet Jeremy
Thanks for reading, Bft! I think Jeremy will find that living with Rob, Adam, and Duncan will be completely different from what he is used to. I will mention one thing, Jeremy doesn't know his parents were getting a divorce. Right now, no one else in the Isen family knows aside from Duncan, who Ian and Debbie told before they were to fly home. Duncan and Adam haven't told anyone, and I haven't decided if they will tell Jer or not. I'm leaning on them not mentioning the divorce, as it's a moot point. -
A very interesting love story. Good concept well thought out.

Thanks, Xander! Sadly, Jeremy is having nightmares, but you'll see more of that in Chapter 2. I'll have to look up EL-AL, but in my notes, I had the Isen's on British Airways. Also, there's a surprise for you in Chapter 2. -

lets work together Topic Tuesday #16: It's Raining (Gay) Men...
Brayon replied to Brayon's topic in Writer's Circle
As I said in the beginning, my Tampa Chronicles series has a lot of GLBT running around, so I am the Pot calling the Kettle black here. However, just like some have pointed out, Era and Location play a huge factor in how many GLBT could be running around. I'm writing in 2018 in Tampa, FL. The Tampa Bay Area has a thriving GLBT community, with St. Pete's PRIDE festival being the largest in the State of Florida with Thousands coming to it. I know I sound defensive, and I feel that way as well, with the topic I was singling out. LOL Heck, I'm about to introduce a new GLBT character, to round out the number. It's an OCD thing, about Odd numbered groupings. Agreed, and this is the main reason why I started the topic. When Logic dictates that only X-number of GLBT should be in an area, you suddenly fine X^2 or X^4 running around that's when I become skeptical. I won't call out the author, but I recently finished a story, where the 2 14y/o Main Characters were gay, and in a fully committed and life-changing relationship. Their parents were actually a gay couple and lesbian couple that used each other as beards and had the MC boys in the story, and then there was another 7 or 8 gay teens between the ages of 12 - 14 out in a smaller midwestern town. -
lets work together Topic Tuesday #17: Supporting Each Other
Brayon posted a topic in Writer's Circle
Hello fellow writers. This week's topic is about supporting each other. What do you do to support other Writers here on Gay Authors? Do you talk to them on the forums, or in Private Messages? Do you read their works? Do you leave Reactions, Comments, or Reviews on their chapters and stories? or Do you tear them down? Do you alienate them? Do you show disdain for others because they are beneath you? GA is a community of likeminded Writers, overall the experiences I have had here have been overwhelmingly positive. Though I've experienced the negative as well. People who used to read and interact, don't anymore. I've met some fantastic people here at GA, and I consider several of them close friends. I have room in my life for more friends, but I don't for toxic influences. -
Wow, where to start. I enjoyed the story as it was an interesting tale. Very heavy on the sports references, specifically Baseball. Had to google some of the terms. The main characters were written like they were older than the fourteen-year-olds they were depicted as. There were some formatting issues with a few of the chapters, but can be corrected. Overall a decent story.

TC3 - Chapter 1: Meet Jeremy

Thank you for reading glennish! I appreciate the support. I completely agree with you, that it should help to heal him, and chapter 2 is about that. I do have plans for Jer to find a person to develop a romantic relationship with, but that might be for a while. -

TC3 - Chapter 1: Meet Jeremy
Brayon commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC3 - Chapter 1: Meet Jeremy
Thanks for reading and for the comment Spikey! When I was plotting the next full book, Jeremy somehow just showed up. The note I wrote after he showed up, and I included him in a few paragrphs said, "Jadon is Duncan's Nephew, and he lives with Adam, Duncan, and Rob." (Jadon was Jeremy's original name before it was pointed out I had several characters with similar sounding names.) I knew he wasn't in TC1 or TC2, but I had written him into the opening chapter of the next full book (book four now). So, that led to Book Three, as a way to introduce Jeremy and to get him with the family on a perm basis. -
No need to feel sorry, tim. Writing when your emotions are all roller-coasting is a hard feat to accomplish. The poems you presented here are well-written and do envoke different emotions. Masterly crafted.

Thanks for reading, Jeffrey! You just hit a good point. I think I need to make a chart for the site, or a rogue's gallery of sorts and post it. Also with descriptions too. Thank you! Chapter 2 is progressing, and I'll get it to the editors ASAP. -
It's the old saying of "It takes all kinds..." The diversity of thought, opinion, and experience are just as valid as all the other forms. The thing that bothers me most in the GLBT community at large is the intolerance that has developed over the years. Not only towards other "factions" in the GLBT community but to those outside of it as well. It's like we are branching out into little camps, and fighting against each other. Like we have gay conservatives and gay liberals who fight over politics. Gay religious folks who fight with gay atheists. On and on. We're all the same community, we can have disagreements, but we should celebrate our oneness as a diverse group. Just the other day I was out having coffee and lunch with a friend visiting from out of town, and we ran into some of his old college friends. I'm sad to say, there was a Heterophobe among them, spouting off all sorts of nonsense about straights. It was disgusting, and I even told him as such. Needless to say, my friend and I left, shaking our heads at the whole experience, and wondering when this cancer of hate started in our community.

Thank you for reading, Daddydavek. Yeah, I actually feel bad writing that for Jeremy and the family. But things will turn around for him. Chapter 2 will start the healing. -
