Why the Heck Does He Do That?
Anton_Cloche commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Why the Heck Does He Do That?
@Lee Wilson this is turning into a very interesting story. Hmm, a 6'3" 235 lb high school football player (Tight End?) ASSuming his bigger Dr. dad would be homophobic? Well it's not impossible. Cory is in for more 'nice' surprises from Roy, based on actions so far. He found the right tree to fall out of while doing a dick-tok video of Roy. Roy has 12-year old brother Roger ('cowboy' theme?), who wants to see Cory's 'weiner', but are 12-year old twins David and Daniel just friends? -
Hmm? Ding-Ding! 💡 Harper and Bell are a couple of entitled WASP bimbo and himbo (aka sluts). Harper doesn't mind taking what she wants. Despite having 'means', Harper uses an acquiescent Carey and his old Corolla, as her personal Uber, to take bags of dirty clothes from college to her parent's home for a weekend 'laundry visit', Harper yet again uses Carey in bed. Later, after meeting her younger (hornier) brother 'Bell', the boys take a walk in the woods to a treehouse, where Bell reveals more: “My sister and I each lost our cherries up here.” With who?!? Carey blurted. “Well, Harper lost hers with our cousin Thad,” Bell said continuing to stare up blankly at the ceiling. “How would you even know that?!? With a chuckle, “We share things.” After stuffing a buttplug up his ass and jerking off, Bell tells Carey, "You can take me if you want". Back at college, it appears that Bell "shared things" with Harper again, this time telling her his version (not necessarily the truth) what he and Carey did together. And just like that, Carey's been used and kicked to the curb! He might want to visit the college medical clinic for an STI / STD checkup in case anything 'else' was shared.

Apologies for the 'Oops' in my comment. Some things got left out in post. I was aware that Bryan and Caleb were adopted by Diego, but despite Calvin and Donna having their parental rights removed by the court, both continue to try and interfere, with Calvin's attempt to interfere. Courts need to jail, rather than warn or fine parents for refusing to accept restraining orders. In real life we see to many incidents that have tragic outcomes. Thanks again for this story.

Another great chapter @John Henry showing more of why Steve as going to be a great 2nd Dad (or stepdad) to the family, including Bryan. Bryan is having a terrible time fitting in, largely due to his bio-parents continuing to crowd in when it's clear they don't want Bryan. That continues to make Bryan angry, confused and feeling like he doesn't belong anywhere; and frequently teens, especially those with sexuality issues, go to the extreme of trying (too often succeeding) to remove themselves from life. The next steps for Steve and Diego is clear. Have the court remove Bryan's parents from the situation, as a danger to Bryan. Have Steve adopt Bryan (and Caleb) to give him the family he needs and deserves.

I refer to Bailey's (dark chocolate preferred) as "Coffee Helper". If they run out, plan 'B' is Kahlua.

A safe shelter is hard to find even if it is purpose built to withstand hurricanes in Northern Hemisphere, or cyclones and typhoons in the Southern Hemisphere. Virtually everything built on concrete, cement or 'raft' slab foundation, without a true basement to be lag-bolted down to, is highly susceptible to be ripped away. Whether 'stick built' on site, 'factory built' modular buildings and especially RV's or caravans, (becoming missiles they resemble), all are at risk depending on storm category and how long the storm stays in place (or moves 'out to sea' only to regain strength and return). Hopefully the refuge animals find safety. As for Micco, Chase, (Calhoun? M'eh), Billie, Danny and the rest? ✌️ 🙏.

An 'interesting' chapter @JLynch but I suspect the good dr and @Tris are on to something. Harper much more on 'their' personal voyage of discovery other than day of the week. Perhaps FTM? WHOO, who?

Martina's dead husband means she has no standing in Seminole community or access to its financial resources, legal assistance etc. With wild animal refuge closed Million$ of 'Estate' funds up for grabs. As for Billie ...

Thank you @J92 for this story. Fictional kids like Tom, pushed on to the street by his 'father' just because he's gay are not "the tip of the iceberg", but rather the tip of the tip of the iceberg in real life. As of 2023 the number of homeless children (from 7 to 20) on streets each night is over 120 MILLION world wide: 30 Million each in Africa and Asia; 35 - 50 Million in Latin America; Closer to home... 2.5 Million in U.S., which is worse during bad weather like this BRUTAL January cold snap. Close to 180,000 in UK. E.U. over 1/2 Million Eastern Europe (Russia and area claim no such problem) 3+ Million Canada 75,000+ Australia 35,000+ NZ 30,000+ Numerous authors on GA write about gay and LGBTQ2+ children (mostly teens), who for various reasons are forced on to the streets. Many try to find a HEA. (which I would bet most readers are appreciative of). In the meantime, reach out when you can, if you can. It is estimated that for every person 'actively' begging for "spare change, any help" there are 8 to 10 more hidden from view. Sorry for the sobering thoughts. 🥣 🛏️

That "light at the end of the tunnel" for Otis? What is that sound and why is this 'path' rumbling? Playing 'catch up' on stories from authors I really like.

To those wondering (or contacted me) about what is happening with @CLJobe and this story, I am aware as of earlier this week that Cal has been having some technical difficulties with his i-phone and other 'devices' (MacBook again?) for the past month. Otherwise he is "fine but frustrated". Here's hoping he finds a fix (newer equipment from an Angel? That's me suggesting, not him asking) and is able to reconnect. 🫰 🫂

Thank you @Mancunian/ Craig for this wonderful story about two 'lost' youths Charlie and Michael Baxter; Michael's recovery from pneumonia and being homeless at sixteen and eighteen after the tragic death of their Mum. About being found and looked after by Max and Stacey. Finding a future that keeps them together as the only 'family' they have left, and in turn helping an old man, Harry Wallets, reconnect to the world outside his flat, after the tragic death of his only son "Blond Mikey". Michael Baxter's love of singing and the arts continues with him entering Uni with a promising future in the Arts. Charlie discovers his love and knack for auto mechanics and helps completely restore Harry's 'vintage' Mini Cooper S. While the £3,000 cost may have seemed high to Harry, the judging at a 'Classic Car Show', an award for the restoration and an offer of £65,000 astonished Harry. (Who kept the car for Charlie and Michael, so they could drive him about). Together with Harry, the boys gather with Max, Stacey and all their new friends and 'extended' family for a New Years party. The best part of the party is when Harry asks them to stay with him as 'new sons' which they accept. 🎉 Charlie, his boyfriend Brad and Michael make a trip to their old 'home' after two years to visit their Mum's grave at the cemetery, where the four of them have a conversation, as if Mum was sitting with them, sharing tears of happiness for their new lives. They visit former neighbours and receive missing family mementos of them and their Mum, thought to be lost after they became homeless, in the safe keeping of a local vicar who turns them over to the Baxter Boys. A wonderful Epilogue. Looking forward to upcoming stories (or when "other shoe or 👢 drops".).

Interesting and scary first chapter. Familiar with sudden amnesia, but almost always associated with head injuries (usually with telltale injury) or TBI, and with coma patients (my cousin, after a severe highway accident. Recovery completely but took months). MRI should reveal some cause to Harry and possible treatment. Will Stuart survive?

Thanks so much for your comment. How Apollo’s father knew where Carey lived and where else he might have looked for him are extraneous details, not critical to the story’s flow. If I had to guess, maybe Carey's ID fell out of his wallet? Which, while "not critical to the story's flow", may give Apollo a reason to return it (to Carey's parent's house)? But then Carey is packing to return to college. So ...

"The kid was not just pale. His skin had a kind of sickly grayish tint to it. A sure sign of malnutrition". Politicians call it "food insecure", to detract from people who are clearly starving, and the media enables the lies . Or "housing insecure" when families, individuals and over a million children each day are not just homeless, but unsheltered against the elements. While out for a walk, "Approaching an intersection, Carey crossed two lanes of traffic pausing briefly at the median where a homeless man and a boy were stationed at the traffic signal. Wearing shabby looking clothes, the man held a coffee can and a cardboard sign that read, “Lost our home please help my family.” Later Carey sees the boy prostituting himself in the woods to a member of his high school football team, maybe getting enough money to buy food for his family? And now Carey thinks of somehow offering solace to the boy, but is it really help? Carey has to decide, look away and walk past these poor souls, (like 95% of people), or make a real difference? How can he do that, when he can't figure out who he is?

Both of these stories are a nice tribute to the spirit of Carlos, and he no doubt would have enjoyed them. However, @lucretiaseeks, one story cries out for more, just as our first introduction to CJ did. You invite us into the home and lives of Teague and Will, with a brief synopsis of their careers. We get a hint of an issue with one of Will's patients, a father whose teenage son just came out and a disapproving mother. And you end the first chapter with: "The pair headed back into their house to reheat the chili, enjoy their quiet evening, and anticipate whatever might lay ahead". A sentence that leaves the door wide open to more

Interesting story @chris191070. While it seemed that Cal and Willie knew what they wanted with each other from the 'get go', their relationship and marriage wound up floundering and failing. Thanks for this too familiar story.

Discussions and Decisions
Anton_Cloche commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Discussions and Decisions
32 Minutes ago, Lee Wilson said: So, to be perfectly blunt, I fucked up. So, instead of a 'Dallas' ending, I'll make it a partial 'Clue' ending. Be on the lookout for another ending. 18 Minutes ago, Dan South said: More ‘Twilight Zone’ than Bobby in the shower but no less valid. @Lee Wilson the old axiom "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" may apply here. Readers may not always like what authors write. If a book doesn't have a HEA ending, perhaps it wasn't meant to. (Although in this case, it was, IMHO, a horrible way for my HNY to begin). In the 'real' printed book world, if readers hated a book it could (and did) end a writer's career. But before you go in search of Col. Mustard to save the day, I have an easier suggestion (that I'm sending in a DM). … And it's all right now I learned my lesson well See, you can't please everyone So you got to please yourself… -

It is sad when someone, whether a family member (and clan chieftain as Sir Robert was) , or a friend in advanced years, passes on. In Sir Robert's case, from the moment he passed the title and obligations of Baron of Fordell to Edwin, (in the investiture conducted by Queen Elizabeth II at Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh); Robert planned out all he could. His titles, castle, estate and other holdings pass to Alexander. He specifically established 'Trusts' as gifts to Edwin and his four sons (and other family members) before his death, to avoid the crushing 40% inheritance tax in UK on money, property and 'holdings'. And he conducted most of that on IoM (Isle of Man), a tax-free, self-governed island off NE coast of UK. While we bid fond farewell to Sir Robert, I sense Preston / @quokka has left the door open (just a week bit) for continuation of Fordell in the New Year? More on Edwin's boys (two from each Mum, 1 from IoM and 2nd from Newfoundland). On that latter note, as it is already 04:20 on January 1st 2024 (as I post this from Eastern Canada), I want to send you P/Q (and yours) Best Wishes for a Healthy, Prosperous and Happy New Year. Cheers mate.
