TC4 — Chapter 6: Boston Days and Boston Nights
Anton_Cloche commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC4 — Chapter 6: Boston Days and Boston Nights
So much happening to all the 'family' members as more and more information comes to light. Robert is being torn in multiple directions of how to trust, or not trust Adam. It's as if he's being taken apart and put back together again and again as more information about his life is revealed. He and Adam need to put everything on the table, all at once and see how they can fix things go forward. For Duncan, it's a different type of dismantling and reassembling not only his being a Dad to Jeremy, but also Jeremy's Autism and now the possibility of his half-brother Daniel, also Autistic (Aspergers) joining the family. Into all this we have Jeremy"s boyfriend Travis declaring he needs to quit school as a long-term result of the beating he suffered on school property by a known bully in spite of school policies against bullying and the drugs he must take for his PTSD / Social Anxiety (a strong basis for a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the BoE). Outside of all the family 'dynamics' evil forces in terms of Rob's grandfather, are plotting against him, Adam and the family. -
From my Sicilian (and Italian, and there IS a big difference between the two languages) family members, frocio is the most frequently used. Even with slang / guttural speak, it is the common used form. With everything else that is happening to Rob and the ever extending family, there is molto di cui preoccuparsi. (Much to be worried about). I have a suspicion that Adam's new single, well-built neighbor Erin Ros, (hmm related to former Capo Lorenzo Russo?), is not what or whom he appears to be (or to be working for). Brayon, I like many others are glad to see you back writing & publishing the Tampa Chronicles and eagerly look forward to not only the coming chapters in TC4 (5 more chapters to get the group safely back to Tampa would be nice); but then TC5 & TC6 to deal possibly Daniel involved and then the boys finishing college etc. Pushy? Me? As for Rob's nonno Mathew Turner...

TC4 — Chapter 3: Memories and Reunions
Anton_Cloche commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC4 — Chapter 3: Memories and Reunions
The TC (Tampa Chronicles) has and continues to be a very well-written and thoughtful series. It is my hope you will be able to continue to chronicle the lives of this unique 'family & friends' group. Always a tough time going through a house that is no longer 'home' for whatever reasons. Rob has many shoulders to lean on for support, including his firmer (first) boyfriend and neighbor Marty Greystone, who is going to be surprised by the gift of Rob's Mother's car. Going through the house will be cathartic and hopefully Rob comes though it stronger than ever. With no reason to be in DC for July 4th and museums, I'm sure Adam can get the concierge to get them seats at the 'Shell' on the Esplanade by the Charles (River) to enjoy the unique and fantastic Boston Pop's 4th of July Concert. -
TC4 — Chapter 1: Departure
Anton_Cloche commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC4 — Chapter 1: Departure
A step-brother two months younger than Jeremy, and Daniel on the Autism Spectrum, could be all sorts of possible problems, but also answers. Jeremy with his slow to develop physical issues during puberty, his 'inability' to 'deal' with large groups of people and eidetic memory leads more towards Aspergers (highly functional but socially remote in most cases). If Daniel has similar 'issues' the 'commonality' between him and Daniel could help both boys. But if Daniel suffers from with more 'difficult' ASD conditions, it could make Jeremy feel guilty (nb: have nephews on Spectrum). Let's hope this trip resolves and does not exacerbate status quo. -
Those that can't do ( welll?), teach. Those that can, teach better. Those that do it real well, go to the head of the class, Magna Cum Laude! 😜, 🤪 Today (15 July 22) is 85th Anniversary of Krispy Kreme. Second Dozen GLAZED for only 85 cents U$D. WHAT? You thought this alluded to something else? I'm shocked! 🤯 Happy Birthday @kbois🎂and MANY more.

More information is forthcoming. As for $12K Yale charges for 9 months room and board, you're right that Armand wouldn't want to charge that for a 1-bdrm apt., but if Colin researchs similar apts nearby, they will come up with a fair price. There's also the possibility that 2 students sharing a bed / apt can lower costs. And yes, as you stated, students who stayed year-round for 3+ years could take additional credits in summer. Still no sign of young Thomas?

Really missed Thomas in Gallery with Mary. At school? Everyone so far has pointed out the work that needs to be done on Arrow Gallery building and how shocked Armand and Colin will be at the cost. However, some more factors have to be considered. What we know (or can surmise) is their 4-story (don't forget basement) 'walk-up' is within walking distance to Yale. This makes it early to mid-century construction, especially as there is no exterior fire escape. (which would have been mandated retro-fit even for 'historic designated' buildings). Many such older buildings in New Haven area not 'constricted' with 'Historical' designation by being in 'The Nine Squares', retrofitted with a 16 x 20ft 'rear bump-out' that incorporates a center elevator and shorter flights of stairs surrounding it (à la Big Bang Theory) that also gives space for exterior fire escape. Doing the RBO (Rear Bump-Out) extension allowed them to regain the 10x16 ft hole where side staircases were, thereby enlarging apartments. That is cheaper than a new building costing Millions. BTW 'on campus' Room & Board at Yale averages $12,000 for 9 months! Renting apartment year round is cheaper, they save on meals and laundry. Upgrading current building with water sprinklers for apartments and hallways, waterproofing Gallery with 'fire suppression' and fire escape will extend 'life' of building for decades (of potential $100,000 added annual income). All arrows point to $ future.

Some view reincarnation as a second (third, fourth or more) chance to make right what went 'wrong' in a previous life time. But that only applies if you come back on the same 'plane of existense', (no not what Karl flies in). Norse mythology seems to focus on returning in human form. Other 'religions' believe that after death, reincarnation into a new 'body' is instantaneous. Depending upon your accumulated karma, rebirth occurs into a higher or lower bodily form, either in heaven or hell or earthly realm. No bodily form is permanent: everyone dies and reincarnates further. Or not. Poor Karl so badly wants to make things 'right' with George that he attempts to go AWOL since his next 'leave' isn't until next Christmas. During 'wars' often there was not leave until at was all over. Often 'desertion' could result in a death sentence. Thankfully his 'guardian angel' Kristian steps in, just in time, to save Karl from himself. Hopefully Kristian is correct and the family will keep an eye on George. That, and young Rosemary ♥️ will keep George focused.

I wonder if the one painting Thomas focuses on is perhaps a 'hometown' scene that reminds Thomas of where he used to live (with his parents?) before he became an orphan? Hopefully the next chapter will reveal Thomas' past as he opens up to 'Grandmother' Mary, Colin and Armand. Time for GG to visit Armand in his dreams and bring him some information and perhaps a message 'from the other side'. (from Thomas' parents?). Armand and Colin have more than enough love to share with Thomas, while creating new grandparents for Thomas. 👨👨👧 ♥️ ♥️

Seems like some drug smugglers are going to find themselves "Up Shit Creek without a paddle" when the police find them. Preston can confirm this, but a mate of mine near Perth says a large number of Motor and Sail yachts are stolen each year, used to transfer drugs from offshore (asia) to small rivers and jetties, then either scuttled or set on fire. Sometimes with owners and crews never seen again. Piracy penalties need to be higher!

Pray tell, do let us in on the coming attraction. Hint, Hint (I won't tell anyone... " Only the Shadow knows" which was some 'radio show' my grandfather used to tell us about when we were kids, and made into a movie with Alec Baldwin).

So Elijah chose a shadow he can't shake. Like a gloomy cloud hanging over his head. But he's shown he can turn Kage's frown, if not upside down, then at least neutral. And Kage won't kill him (although he may grind him down) 😜. So for now Montana and the MacTire "puppies" are on hold. At least when he thought about Kage being 24/7, his immediate thought was red wine stain on a white carpet and not blood stains on his parent's bed.

"In GA respect is everything" This chapter provides additional insight into some of the characters, in particular their reactions to visiting Armand's new gallery. Carlo seems to be most touched and appreciative of Armand's painting of him and the lamb. A surprising reaction is from Anna and Tony, and his anger at the mural depicting the village in Italy. I suspect the next chapters will reveal what in Tony's memories troubles him so much that he bars Armand and Colin from returning to his restaurant. As for some comments by others, @Gary L of @Timejun seems to be apt. However, to paraphrase a noted NYC attorney with expertise in publishing, "Consider the source" (in this case of the critique / comment). Is he/she/they a published author in their own right? Various other learned people including authors, educators and statesmen have opined: "Everyone is entitled to an opinion. What they are not entitled to is respect for that opinion. If they have unpleasant or stupid opinions, it’s fine to criticise or mock them". Another said: "Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how wrong they are". The original 'comnent' stating a want for "a chapter" (note lack of all caps normally equated to shouting) and "...not just a few paragraphs". First, according to Webster's, Oxford and other dictionaries "a few" is generally considered 'to be a smaller number, greater than two and usually less than six'. Second, a paragraph is: a distinct section of a piece of writing, usually dealing with a single theme and indicated by a new line, indentation, or numbering. By these definitions, this 'Chapter' consists of 23 paragraphs. If one wants lengthy chapters, may I suggest War and Peace or perhaps The Brilliant Boy Billionaire by Altemexis, which is truly a wonderfully unique and timely book, and an amazing reading experience. (All the above is offered IMHO). 🇺🇦

"More excellenter"? Nope, not in any Englisher (or other languages) dictionaries does that shows up. So your 'free pass' has been used up. Elijah is playing with fire (okay technically shadows) were Kage is concerned. Any relationship between them is going to result in someone being hurt. (And Tyler doesn't have the protective ability to shift, unless that 'power' can be 'gifted'?) As much as Kage has to report back to his "Boss", I think he'll be a little cagey with personal details. Elijah REALLY needs to let Sebastian and the rest of the MacTire Pack know what is going one, as the info on the missing laptop can bring down this nasty lion king.

Although i had hope that Jordan might be more than just a 'mate' to Zac, the end of the week on cattle station seemed to shut that door. That and the 4 year age difference between Zac at 16 and Jordan 20. Now this bit (?) of a twist comes along. Shame the pre-Christmas sail got scuppered, but news that Jordan was repositioning 'Shelia' to be closer to Zac, means he'll have a better chance to see to refit of the Sunreef 100 (the largest and most bespoke Sunreef AND current model includes an ECO option where most of the hull is covered with solar panels for power). And we now see a clear intent between the lads, but will their families accept them? https://www.sunreef-yachts.com/en/sunreef-100

It may be a short chapter, but in addition to painting and photos, Carlo is going home with memories to last a lifetime. So too, Armand's painting of Villagio di Grottaferrata for Colin (and family) will last forever. Mille grazie Calvin Chapel of Santa Maria in Abbey di Grottaferratta

Certainly an interesting 'tack' off course in young Zack's voyage of discovery. Not just about himself and his nascent love of sailing, but others like his new mate Jordan, who despite growing up on a large cattle station, has his own love of the sea - "I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky, And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;..." (Sea Fever by John Masefield, 1902) To learn more about this poet and his sea-themed poetry, which connects to Zack, click on link: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/54932/sea-fever-56d235e0d871e Although a 4 year gap exists between 20-year old Jordan and Zack at 16, is there something building there other than a shared love of sailing? Speaking of sailing, not all Sunreef catamarans are the large vessel @drsawzall pic shows. They start 'smaller' than the 80 shown (as a 'compact' 24m yacht that sleeps 8-12 plus 2-4 crew). Not a bad ship, but an 'eco' hybrid version is available in smaller '50' model (Jordan's?): https://sunreef-yachts-eco.com/sailing-eco-yachts/sunreef-50-eco/

Wow the skipper wants Zachary to play some tunes on his tin whistle to help motivate the crew. At least being up in 'the nest' the crew can't easily get to Zack and toss him overboard. The 'request' of the skipper is one you don't say no to. A little bit like the the saying 'Sing for your supper'. The question as ... Shall he, or shanty? 👁️

George, as he exists now, and since the loss of Nathan, is as you describe him, but was he always that way? His love of Nathan suggests otherwise. But to cope with Nathan's death, he built strong walls to protect himself from harm, while at the same time physically harming himself. With the arrival of young Karl, George dared to let down his defenses just a little, and the evil world struck back at him. His saving little Rosemary was like God tossing him a life preserver, allowing him to feel love a bit, to have empathy - a bit, only to keep complete safety of his heart and mind (by having a loving and lasting relationship with Karl) just out of reach. Now we wait to see what happens next.

Very well done chapter dealing with the sad funeral service for Elijah's parents. We see a supportive community and most importantly Elijah's best friend and family helping him through it all. And then ... 10 shots in rapid fire succession? Glock, Kel-Tec, Ruger? A professional 'Hit'? Despite wanting that all-important missing laptop (and information on it), 'He' now knows, thanks to Kage informing him, that Elijah is a shape-shifter and worked with the MacTire group to find the missing pups and the paedophiles they've been sex-slaved to. Now 'He' has sent assassins out to get rid of Elijah with Tyler as 'collateral damage'? Something doesn't make sense. Is one of the paedophile group trying to stop 'his' name or group from being identified, and willing to kill to do so? Once Sebastian learns of this attempt to kill Elijah (and Tyler) one seriously angry wolf is going to arrive. Will there be a show down between Sebastian and Kage?

And just like that, Zac's hopes and dreams have been scuttled. IMHO @chris191070 opinion that "Zac is behaving like a Bratty teenage", isn't taking into account a 16 year old on his first 'real' and with dreams that have just been gutted like a Barramundi! Were Zac's dreams beyond what an adult would see differently. Absolutely! Did Zac at 16 have the abilities and knowledge an adult would have to ask proper questions? No! Did Eric intentionally deceive or mislead Zac?? Probably not BUT he didn't consider Zac's naivete either, and he should have! IMHO Was Zac wrong in how he reacted? Hell no. Some 16 year olds ate wiser than their actual age. Others (like Zac) are on the cusp of that, but not quite there. I think proper discussions may help clear up the situation, but it needs time. I suspect Mack will bet on on those.

Another interesting chapter with bits of information getting out into the open, like the strong possibility of the missing laptop being a key to the missing and altered pups. Perhaps that's why Huntington wants it; to keep the 'truth' from getting out? What truth could that be? Maybe the Lion-shifter is involved in locking the missing pups into permanent state of pre-puberty to maximize their value to paedophiles? Like you, Elijah has to unpack and organize. In his case unpack the mental 'baggage' of his parent's murder and organizing his future, including the estate. And a 55 Chevy Bel-Air that his father recently bought and is in storage ... A perfect place to hide a laptop?
