I am glad that Billy stood up to his bigoted and ignorant mother

I can understand Billy’s frustration at people laughing at the funeral, but he needs to understand the context of the situation, were people laughing because they were sharing their memories of Mrs Cunningham? A funeral should be about celebrating the life of the person who has died, laughter at a funeral releases the tension at the time. Just before my grandmother’s funeral my father, my sister and I went to view her body and when we walked out of the room, one of my Aunts said that she didn’t look like Mum because they had put some makeup on, Nana didn’t use makeup and we had a bit of a laugh at that, I have a photo of her in her coffin in my photo album, you can only see her face.

It’s tough being a teenager, but there is also the additional stress with Paula’s mother being unwell due to the stroke, I think if George referred to his son as Billy or called him son instead of boy, Billy might respect his father a bit more, calling him boy all of the time is a bit cold.

I am glad that Hank has finally met his mother and listened to her side of why her marriage failed, it’s such a shame that Hank’s father never pursued another relationship for himself instead of taking to the bottle, what a waste of a life, hopefully now Hank and his mum can move forward and build a relationship with each other, and let go of the anger and blame of her for his parents marriage breakdown, there are always two sides to why things haven’t worked out. I think that Chase and Hank might get back together again, whether or not that’s a good thing remains to be seen.

I loved going to the drive-in as a kid, my sister and I used to play on the swings, before the movie started, after we had dinner in the onsite restaurant. You had to attach a speaker to the window to get sound, later on it would come through the car radio. As a teenager I went to the drive in with some friends, two of them hid in the car boot, but got out once I had parked up.

Brian is an ass, he shouldn’t say nasty comments about someone’s ex wife particularly in front of their son. Daddy dearest is not worth the time of day, I wonder how long before he starts to cheat on Amber? Poor Jake that wasn’t a nice birthday for him.
