Really interesting chapter. I'm convinced that Paul has indeed met Uncle Raymond somewhere in his past. ( The fact that he looks like a young Tom Selek doesn't hurt either) . While I've never had the chance to actually touch a gun, I know people that do. In this case protecting yourself is understandable , while someone like the sheriff ,in this story, probably abuses that privilege to intimidate and feel superior. Just the vibe I'm picking up. On to the next chapter in this day of binge reading. ? ( Sorry, I somehow got the fire chief mixed up with the sheriff, I think?)
