You are both wonderful people. Giants in my eyes.
-
Maybe, but I'd never let it happen.

The truth of it is, when I joined GA, I told tim not to describe me correctly. I had little trust and I was still a police officer. The truth is I am 6' 11" not 6" 5". So, just a little bit tall.
-
It's thighs because I am just slightly tall and molly is not. Consider yourself hugged.
-
I hope you are doing okay. It's been a struggle. Worry about this virus, about family, jobs. It takes a toll. tim didn't have to worry about his job, but still, the possibility of getting this thing was real and frightening. Now on top of that is the unrest happening in the world for other reasons, valid as they are. It's non stop. I hope you can take some time to recharge if you can. There is always this place as well. A place people will listen and sit with you. This goes for all of you denizens of the DiC.
-
Glad all of you are doing okay, amidst falling trees, wild winds and lots of rain. Stay indoors and hide with tim and me. LOL @mollyhousemouse I just got my thighs hugged by proxy!! Thank you!

Have a good night all.

We need countries to change, companies, like yours need to, we as individuals need to. We need to demand it from our governments.
-
You weren't snarky at all. People need help, but they also need to willing to be helped. We all need to work if we truly want change.
-
You're right, compassion should be taught /discussed at a young age and yes .. all through those years. I think not teaching that is wrong, just like canceling classes for the Arts is. People need culture and expression, I completely agree with you. I am just saying all education should be 'free' … of course, our taxes pay for that but it should be available to everyone no matter their background or ability to pay.
-
Shower of sh... that was. I have to say the last one was the best. If any officer was caught doing that the boss wouldn't say, oh let's let him go back in. And to leave a lawyer and client in the interrogation room … where they can be over heard! Ridiculous. No breaks given, no drinks given. Talking back to the suspect's lawyer! Saying things that are nearly entrapment! Dear god, all they need to do is turn on the TV and watch some of the real life cop shows they produce in England to give you just an inkling of what really happens!!! Absolute trash.
-
Exactly! Let's be happy for small miracles.

We do segregate ourselves. But we can stop doing it. Education is a huge part. Higher education should not be only for those who can pay for it or the odd scholarship for some poor kids. It should be open and available to every person who wants to attend. Just because you're poor doesn't mean you're stupid. And your lot, should not hold you back from improving yourself. Perhaps spending less on the military or even the police to pay for more schooling. There's a lot of talk about defunding them … as an ex-cop, I can tell you, it's a bad idea. I'm not saying changes shouldn't be made. Just that … given what I know, you do not want to go there.
-
Yes, I think we all do. But I think the more we talk about. The more we admit it … brings it out into the open. And maybe the next time something stupid is ready to slip from our lips, we will stop it. Thanks, A.

How horribly sad. I knew a 'white power' family when I was young. They taught it to their kids … their library contained books such as how to make bombs with household products. Fun times.
-
Indeed. Everything I need to know, I learned in kindergarten.
-
Thank you, chris.

We are all people. I'm not sure if this can be fixed. Especially when we seem not to really care who we hurt. Education is the key. It should not just be for those who have the money to go to school. Perhaps it's time to change this and make schools available to all. Our tax dollars at work. Perhaps, living wages and a national minimum income would help.
-
Thank you, Reader.

Indeed they do, Ashi. I don't know, but we have managed it for a long time.

September? Dear god, I had no idea. I am so sorry to read this Kitt. Chronic pain is difficult to deal with without having to give up something that is so important to you. I hope you find a way to ride again. Time better spent based on what you've written. Deep tissue massage I have had for my shoulders. Hold tight to something because you natural reaction will be to want to punch the masseuse. I hope it brings a bit of relief.
-
Well said, Ashi. I agree with you about leading by example. Violence and hatred begets the same. Thank you for your wonderful blog.

Well, I understand that. I am not a bottom, but an Alpha Top. Not something I usually feel the need to explain. One day I had to explain it to my parents. They took it quite well, mind you, they are used to me. They took it well when I told them I am Gay. We went to see them because tim and I were getting married. First in a regular civil ceremony and then one to mark our D/s relationship. There was a lot of explaining that night but we wanted them there. Wanted them to understand. It took them awhile and some research, but they know I do not hurt tim. That he is everything to me. They understand and we do not have to pretend in front of them. And yes, we should have common sense, but it seems many of us do not. My hope is with the young … who grew up with all colours and nationalities, like our nephew has done. They are just all friends … their colour/creed/gender doesn't matter and well, they get to celebrate that with all sorts of good food and ideas.

I long for the day, we do not have to 'come out'. We do not have to say Black Canadian, Gay Canadian, Asian Canadian, Trans Canadian etc. I long for day our children can bring home their same-sex partner (or other partners) without have to explain it, and for the day that we are all just Canadian, or American, or whatever. That we no longer needs hyphens. There is a lovely commercial we see on some British shows we watch. It's not about race, it's about cancer but the Doctor is Indian and the patient a white woman. He tells her she is cured and doesn't have to come back. She gets up and they embrace. He holds her and tells her she's welcome as she thanks him. One human being to another. That is how the world should be.

They are not mixed race … they may be a blend of beautiful colours and nationalities, but they are not mixed race.
