The Empress’s childhood no longer holds as an excuse, she is Empress and instead of shoring up her husband and “their” court, she consistently undermines him and keep things divided. (Even though I’m no big fan of Kiyan) Her father’s death in her stead for her perfidy wasn’t enough? Soon her actions will be such that it won’t matter that she is empress and mother of the next ruler; She has met her match in Jihan. The only satisfaction I will have for Renai Countess if she chooses to do the Empress’s bidding is her falling of one of the cliffs at Silver Shore. It took me about 36 hours off and on to binge read this story so I am now caught up and ready for more, 🙂. lilansui has a wonderful hand creating chemistry between her couples and their family and friends as well.

Do you have a medical background? I don’t remember if you previously mentioned it but you are quite proficiently detailed when it involves the aftermath and aftercare involved when you put one of your characters in peril; All the questions I would have had as a parent and reader were covered; If you aren’t, you have excellent research skills. The cohesion of the five dealing with their individual and joint concern over Lyssa was wonderful to witness; I shudder to think how much harder attitudes and disharmony would have made this on everyone. David and TC do have some things to iron out in their relationship, both consciously and subconsciously....that doesn’t negate how absolutely instrumental TC’s support is for David right now. (I’m still trying to decipher the approval TC gave of David’s meal choice at the sports bar-was that just TC being TC, where he would be extra alpha in a time of crisis?) Even though Lyssa was the victim of the accident, the road to recovery will be long for everyone, as they were all wounded in their own way by this and will be focused on being the best support system for Lyssa going forward. (I hate thinking of Lyssa’s reaction to Emily’s death ☹️) While I was reading about the family’s visitation to Lyssa, my thought went to how were they allowed in two at a time and where were their PPE, forgetting you probably wrote this story long before the world changed, lol. Thank you for the welcome distraction a good read provides and please stay safe. 🙏

I guess it’s hard to recognize you’re an investment when you feel like shit. I’m so glad he told Penn what was going on, I still don’t get Lee’s game and what the fuck does Paul have a right to be pissed at Nash about?!?! He’s been fucking Nash’s slut husband (be careful Paul, what some one does with you, they’ll do to you; then again you deserve whatever your jealous, vengeful ass gets-if you sleep with dogs, you’ll wake up with fleas) and won because Nash is out of the picture, hurt and humiliated....unless that’s not all he plans to do. Nash explaining why he’s doing the lunch and counseling with Lee makes sense from his perspective; At the same time, Lee isn’t owning accountability for anything he’s done and Nash doesn’t deserve the torture of keeping up appearances. Lee is the big breadwinner, how bad will things go for him to look like a hoe, even in their small town? I don’t think Lee was ever who Nash thought he was (“I never liked Lee. I didn’t like him when we were kids and I don’t like him as an adult.”) we all know love is blind. Now that Penn knows, things are going to be different. I just wish the other shoe of crap to be thrown at Nash will drop already. I wish you posted daily....twice daily. 😊

Aww C’mon!! Lyssa?!?! You’re a meanie but a well written meanie. (That’s why I can only put that I read this, this development did not make me happy.) 😟 I love the interaction between the four adults, how TC and Mike respect Renee and David as co parents and friends and that David and Renee both appreciate their moving on with other people; Having grown, responsible Owen turn back into David’s little boy when he saw his father made something get into my eye (damn allergies) So....are David and TC the only ones not aware that they are in love with each other? Their emotional intimacy is such that they should hopefully be able to find a middle ground, as the D/s world for these two extend beyond sex. 🤞

I suspect the Knotts brothers knew something about Lee and his extramarital activities or something else he’s been sneaky about; I’m thinking Lee is not quite the “nice”, “innocent,” “gentle” husband Nash thought he’s had all this time. I’m sure if the Knotts Bro’s and Co. got wind of the break up, they’d kidnap Nash and keep him in the bosom of their circle; Then again I’m afraid whatever Mrsgnomie has planned might alienate them from Nash, too. 😕.

Fuck you, Lee. Back stabbing bitch. Lee has already proven he can’t be trusted; Nash is being naive in giving in to Lee’s demands to wait six months and keep things quiet. Lee and his lover are clearly planning something, something not good for Nash. I only hope that he realizes something is up before that and blows them up but I’m thinking that’s not how you’ve planned it, lol. Even knowing that Lee was going to prove a faithless prick, I was still so upset reading this. I wonder if Paul is using Lee or if they are equally complicit in whatever they’re planning. The Knotts brothers know something about Lee....if they like Nash as much as they do, they should tell him; Either way something is going to come out to break Nash and Lee up. The interest the Knotts brothers have in Nash is so intriguing, it seems more than just genuine like; I wonder if they will support him when the shit hits the fan. Whatever you have coming for Nash makes me sad, he seems like a really nice guy.

This was a surprisingly nice start to TC’s visit with his parents (though it isn’t over yet 😉); I’m glad David was there as support/buffer. I hope if TC does have the heart to heart with his parents, it works to better his relationship with them (and maybe alter his perception about what kind of future he can have with David). Thank you for my you learn something every day tidbit-a group of stingrays are called a fever.

Is Lee faithful? What is with the Knotts’ determination to have Nash socialize with them so much and without Lee? Is Ryan playing matchmaker? I'm very intrigued....

TC and David are coming to that fork in the road, I’m wondering how divergent (or convergent) their paths will be. I also know that TC and his father will butt heads; That might prove detrimental to being flexible with David, as it’s his father’s heavy handed attitude that birthed TC’s dominant nature. I’m from the Northeast and did college for a couple of years in Southwest Georgia. Summer is my least favorite season so guess where I didn’t stay? Lol. There isn’t enough inducement to make me willingly deal with that heat and humidity on a regular basis. The winters were decent....even got some 30 degree mornings a time or two.

Blu reminds me of Nan when he’s dealing with Sage.

Hmm....does he wind up with Penn or Ryan? The set up is complete. I dread the tide turning in Nash’s life and wonder what part Paul plays in it. “Well thank you. Didn’t realized missing me was an option. I almost didn’t post this story because I wasn’t sure anyone really cared lol” Your other two stories were incredible and this one seems it will be more of the same. If you have other stories, I think it safe to say there will be plenty to read it here.

Between the story summary and this chapter, I feel a set up for Nash’s current life to come crashing down around him. With all the love between he and Lee, something is not quite right and I detect and interest from Ryan that I’m not sure what to make of yet. I get the Colin and Charles/Donovan and Shane vibe between Nash and Ryan. If they are whom you’re going to put together, I sense a hell of journey on their destination to each other. Looking forward to more.

This is also one of my favorite chapters of the story. TC and David really do make a perfect couple and having family approval (especially those of your children) is BIG. David’s car sharing analogy was a perfect description of his and TC’s dilemma, with TC clearly being the one who always wants to “drive”. Compromise would be the perfect solution for them, obviously and while TC has seemed too much a control freak to loosen up, it is also he who has pursued David; I think with TC’s heart involved (as it clearly is, friends with benefits be damned) he may be more flexible that he realizes.

There was a neck and neck contest on the F💣 and 💩 as my favorite swear word for a while, F💣 won out-It’s more versatile, lol.

I like how you explored that not everyone has parental instincts through Elliott and TC’s choices; The smartest thing is to recognize who you are and not force the issue. Life may show you otherwise but people generally know who they are. It made me a little sad that things have kind of cooled romantically between David and TC....I’m hoping it’s a case of absence making the heart grow fonder, as I feel the two have the makings of a great relationship if they decided that D/s would not be a dominating factor. As there is a Book II and we are already at midpoint of Book I, there’s clearly more to explore between our two Doms. Liking the occasional profane word, I determined I wasn’t going to be a hypocrite about it when I became a parent; I now have an eight year old whom I regulate by letting him know “those” words are adult words and he has to be a certain age to say them. He tests me on it every once in a while but that benchmark has generally kept him in line, lol.

He wasn’t ready to share his emotional side with someone new, but David was an old friend and they had their own emotional history that surrounded their friendship. It was familiar and comforting and best of all they both knew it wasn’t going any further. They had sorted all that out at the beginning of their friendship and they were both OK with how things were.” Life has a way of throwing a curveball when you’re swinging at a different pitch. I feel that TC has been sharing his emotional side with David since they reconnected. “Let’s face it TC, what we’re doing is not meant to be long term. Sooner or later I’m going to have to let my Dom out to play. Your Dom doesn’t play nice in the sandbox unless there’s a sub involved. One of these days TC you’ll be ready to move on and find someone who can be what you need. We both know it’s not me. Don’t get me wrong, I love what we’re doing. But you and I both know that it has an expiration date. It’s not tomorrow and it may not even be this year, but eventually the benefits will run out.” David said.’ Understanding the personal preferences of both David and TC being Doms and that there aren’t two Doms in a D/s relationship, this passage still made me question “will it?” (Run out, that is) There is something here more than I think either man wants to acknowledge.

What an amazing way you have with a narrative❣️❣️ I was already a huge fan of “Still You Want Me” but I think I like this one more. I was sad to leave their world but equally grateful for the glimpse I had in it. What a beautiful, beautiful, narrative. Thank you.
