    Chapter 12

I find it best to try and manage expectations So I'm aiming for another couple next week, and the final one the week after. And after that... there'll be a whole new story.

    Chapter 12

My Dad had left an envelope for me at work, which I hadn't opened before I saw him again the following night. We exchanged a few words, but it was awkward, difficult, and just generally weird. Had I read the letter? No. Would I? I don't know. How can he contact me again? We you know where I fucking work don't you? That sort of thing. He had a lot of other questions too, but I wasn’t able to get into any of it with him. Becky was trying to be really supportive, as was Frank, but I don't

    Chapter One

No, actually, I realise that what I'm nervous about most is that I don't want you to fall in to the 'same old' story as many other seem to do. I want it to be engaging, and not totally predictable. EDIT: I think this may sound shittier than I meant, but I'm leaving it for the sake of transparency. I like the opening, and I'm hopeful.

    Chapter One

I want to see where this goes, but it makes me nervous already.
  7. I came to this whilst waiting for the final chapter of Down a Darkened Path, also by @Ronyx, a story that I have been mildly obsessed with since it started. And now I see why. Clearly Ronyx has some serious form for un-put-down-able stories with characters that I can't but care about from the moment i meet them. In this case, Corey's bitter-sweet recovery from having his heart broken is a perfect example of all the good bits of story telling that a ridiculous romantic like me enjoys. I've just binged this whole story, and I can only recommend that you do the same. Don't blame me when you're a couple of hours late, I've warned you. Un-put-down-able.

    Chapter 17

See-quel! See-quel! See-quel! See-quel! Seriously though, it's hard to imagine how this all gets wrapped up in one more chapter, and like @donaldbirwin says, us romantic types need hope.
  9. Hi I know this is a few weeks old now, and maybe you've resolved this problem already. But if not... as someone with some relevant experience, you should seriously consider talking to your therapist about how you feel. Yes, it might feel totally awkward and embarrassing, but if it's still around for you as an issue that you are thinking about, it's likely to be having an impact on the work the two of you are doing. Any decent therapist will (at least should!) be prepared to deal with this kind of scenario, because as others have said, it's really not that uncommon. Good luck Sam

    Chapter 17

Phew - you know we've all been waiting for literally years (OK, a few days), dreading what might happen here. At least it wasn't any worse. And thanks, awesome story

    CSR?

Thanks - it seems obvious now

    CSR?

Hi I'm finding my way around the slightly complex world that is GA, however, I can't find this. What does CSR stand for? Despite all of the posts about them, there doesn't seem to be an explanation. Thanks Sam

    Chapter 10

I guess that's the point, so thanks, it's good to know that it works.
  14. Romantic - yes. A fantasy - probably. A thrilling and endearing story, where most of the action covers just a 24hr period - absolutely. This had me hooked from the beginning, in no small part due to Henrik's gallantry I'm sure. The ups and downs are mildly intense, and as long as you're not looking for a biography of everyday experience, you should definitely give it a go. That press conference scene, damn, I was was SO happy about how that went! I don't really have any significant criticisms, it's a nice length, never feels slow or needlessly padded with extraneous detail, and leaves just enough to my own imagination to be enjoyable. I hate it when things are heavily written and this is a great example of how it should be done. Thanks @QuinnDK

  15. Ohhhh - thank you! I'm loving how I'm getting pointed towards these amazing stories that I would otherwise miss, or at least take a long time to find.

    Chapter 1

Thanks - I hope your enjoyment continues, although because of reasons I don't remember I'm reviewing comments in reverse order, I know you've already stuck out another few chapters

    Chapter 3

I agree, and it's great to know that he's growing on you. He's not always the easiest guy to get along with.

    Chapter 11

Yeah, I'm sure he'd drive me nuts, which somehow only adds to his charm
  19. Sam Wyer

    Chapter 11

Thanks! It's always nice to see that people are enjoying the story.

    Chapter 11

Don't worry - it's all written already, so you just have to wait for me to post them. No promises, but maybe Thursday would be a good day to check in again .

    Chapter 11

A few months have passed. Davey and me are kind of in a routine, and I'm not liking it at all. He's working later and later, and Becky is giving me more shifts and more responsibilities, which is really cool, except I hardly ever got to see Davey. By the time we get in to bed every night it's way too late for serious talking, and I don't even think we've fucked for over a week. Again. The best times are first thing in the morning, when we still usually manage to get breakfast together.

    Chapter 7

I think I'm more with Scarlett on this one, I hate shopping

    Chapter 8

I really try not to be that mean, I hate cliffhangers when I'm reading.
