Damnit, man! An hour and a half ago I was supposed to stop reading, but I wanted to finish the last chapter of ”summer". Then I figured what the hell, I'll read the first chapter of this and see if everyone is ok. Then I get to this quasi-cliffhanger, and gotta decide if I'm going on our gonna drag my ass out of bed. Good chapter, good drama. Of course they haven't even heard of Adriano's (I think that's his name) wife and kids yet...

I know I said earlier that I'd like to see an hiv+ character, but I hope Dragon doesn't become that character. Unfortunately, with your writing style, I see only one reason to point out they went bare against their regular practices

Time to invoke the 24 hour rule. You find out one friend is cheating on another, you confront the straying friend and let him know he has 24 hours to come clean to his partner, or the decision will be taken out of his hands. Unfortunately, I've experienced both ends of the 24 hour rule. Anyway, good chapter, and maybe Landon can finally give our boy some action. A hot horny teenager with sex positive parents deserves to be getting more action than his own hand. Just sayin'

I'm glad you made his first friend he made straight, although is it normal for a straight guy to start chatting up random guys at the gym? I guess if he's really friendly. Again, great job with the diversity. Now, bring on the redhead!

One last comment on the "flirting dynamic" (or the eww factor as some called it) I think that a group of gay men together (especially those in their late 20s/early 30s) can tend to feel, act and think like they are much younger than they are. Especially if they didn't get to truly "be teenagers" until their 20s due to that pesky closet. Add to that a mature, older looking teen, and he can feel more like a peer than a boy. That's why I never saw the flirting as a gross, pervy, hey little boy want some candy type thing. Anyway, another good chapter, and recapping the nicknames really helped bring the characters into focus for me. With all the diversity, I hope you introduce a happy and healthy HIV+ character into this ideal world you've created. I loved your shout out in the previous chapter to PrEP. I just looked up Brian Sims... yummy yummy. I wonder if he's read this. Maybe you should try to send his office a link to the story

Carlos I am enjoying the story and I think the bantering between the uncle's and CJ is spot on and realistic. You mentioned early on that he looked and acted older than his 15. A good looking, virile, young man, newly out of the closet and being shown the ropes is going to attract these comments, and mama bear walked the perfect line. Not all "flirting" means "I literally will jump your bones if you let me". I agree 100% that knowledge is power. Good job, keep it up, and now I gotta go find out who just came on board and if it's going to be the love of CJs life

Wow... whew... let me catch my breath. I was so tense reading that, worried Derek would give in or worse be raped or kidnapped. Chris is so unhinged and it means that he could literally take this story in any direction and it would be believable. Amazing chapter
