Kai is not Sebastian, so unlike the prince, he does need plenty of allies. Yes, yes, poor Sebastian is having trouble navigating the world, but wild adventures build character! (and that's really from a video game I used to play). Now, we have to wonder whether Kai shouldn't worry about getting attacked with that particular feather duster if Pepin ever finds out his true identity, especially after confessing... yes, I imagine that scene, and it would be pretty cool... I really do think that it's quite the surprise for Sebastian to discover that he has feelings for Milo. And Seb's so cute a nickname! Thank you for letting me use it. When he was with Conrad or the other lovers before, it was easy for him to discard it as lust only. After all, he had the fate of a kingdom on his shoulders! But moving to Kai's body is bound to 'contaminate' him a little. Just the same thing happens to Kai, too. Yeah, I think we've not seen the last of the mother dragon! I am yet to figure out how she'll make another appearance, but it's clear that Kai just made a friend (although he doesn't know it yet). For sure, the story will have 30+ chapters. Kai believes himself to be invincible, aka OP, and according to the games he played and anime he watched, nothing bad can come his way! Hence, the source of his craziness! But he can't seem to be capable of not noticing what a handsome man Conrad is, and there's that, too! And Pepin is in for the long ride, if you know what I mean (exaggerated wink to the point of being awkward just to get people to notice my puns) Sebastian won't get any ballads in this world, unfortunately.
