It was about damn time!
-
Oh, yes. That's where the mating will happen Visit might not be the best word... but they will meet for sure!
-
I'm always happy when I make people laugh. It's not so much that Pembroke lost his powers, as it's Danny getting stronger.
-
Yes, that's true. And it's an important detail.
-
Danny is already... something, but that bite will happen. I like to think that it's going to be a cute, sexy moment. As you will see by reading the chapter I just posted, the dilemma concerning Pembroke will solve itself.

They're becoming a really powerful gang! A bond makes a wolf stronger, and Ryder feels it. Cassandra won't be easy to take down... and I have a few surprises coming soon
-
Ah, well said! And Jack is really starting to vibe with this whole clairvoyant thing.
-
I have no idea how, but my reply didn't post... let's try again. Yep, I think you're correct to name Theodore an acquired taste, lol. And those two complete each other, as cheesy as that may sound.
-
Yes! That was what he was doing. He knew he would have to confront his enemy at some point, although details about who that was were definitely fuzzy in his mind. Yeah, surprise could be a great thing... but let's not forget Cassandra can 'see' things. Jack knows it.

Chapter Twenty-Two – Pinemoor, Here We Come? Theodore was still strong as he fought against his restraints. Ryder got up and rolled Theodore over, placing one foot on his chest. “Dare make one wrong move, alpha,” he warned the prisoner. The ice-like eyes watched him with wariness. But there was a cunning animal lurking just beneath the surface, and Ryder had to admit that Jack had a point. Theodore could simply refuse to help them, even though he might be interested in finding Cassandr

Oh, it will shake it all right... I'm a bit afraid for me, not gonna lie...

Have fun! Be aware of the fires, though... hopefully, you'll be far from those areas. I know people who favored Bulgaria this year only because of that.

Oh, gawd, reading this comment gave me goosebumps... it's like I'm watching my characters getting stripped in the best kind of ways... There are things I didn't even realize when writing them, because inspiration guides me like a flood. I do have my notes, but it happens quite often that the characters take the helm and say 'I want to feel this' or 'I want to say this'. I don't know how other writers feel when this happens, but for me, it's the best thing in the world. It's a beautiful, exciting journey. And this is what I mean when I'm thinking what you said about the roles being reversed... I haven't thought of subverting expectations for a moment. But it came out this way, and you noticed, and it's wonderful! The story gets transferred from me to you, and when I read one of my favorite authors - Mario Vargas Llosa - talking about how authors give up some of their ownership on their stories the moment people read them, I had no idea how deep this goes. Readers see beyond my words. It's really astonishing. And it feels great Also, really happy about how you saw tenderness as being the main theme of the chapter. It is. I often imagine my stories being played out like scenes from a movie. And although I don't have yet the skill to put all that I imagine onto the page, for this particular chapter, I imagined the dark as something soft and warm and fuzzy like a blanket. For Lyn, because he needs this sort of space to let some of his defenses go. You said it so well about Alexander not having any defenses! This is another thing I didn't exactly articulate about him, not even in my notes. But anytime something happens, when I write the scenes he's in, he acts this way. There might be a wall for him somewhere, but it's deep within his personal territory, not miles away from the core, like in Lyn's case. They'll be using sex as means to get close quite a bit Thank you for the wonderful analysis, as always!
-
Oh, indeed, Lyn's backstory, I have to admit, it's not always easy to write. There's a certain history behind everything he's built, not only his career, his persona, the mask he's wearing, all of that. That's why some memory chapters will focus on that. Even during sex, he wears a mask. Yes, you're right, that's when people usually let go of their social mask and show themselves as they are. Lyn is not there... yet. But Alexander is assaulting the walls with everything he's got. Thank you for the comment! It's so nice to read your thoughts.
-
Manwhore, he-he-he... Lyn definitely thought of Alexander being that!
-
So well noticed about the chapter's title! I don't always know if certain details resonate with readers, so it makes me so happy when people notice them! Yes, in the dark, twice for Lyn.
-
This is it in a nutshell Lyn interprets the events - past and present - through his carefully curated system of values. That doesn't make them the truth.
-
Lyn will definitely need to get smacked in the face with a few truths to realize what's what. Alexander knows him - it might be frustrating to see him keeping from blurting the truth in Lyn's face - and that motivates his actions. Lyn's social - and even sexual - mask works in front of strangers. Not in front of Alexander. I hope you had a stellar week! And I hope to keep you entertained for a long time!
-
That could also be right...
-
Oh, I hope so. Some very interesting days ahead!
-
It's - I believe - in line with his character to be in denial. He already imagined reasons for Alexander's coming on to him, and he doesn't want to let go of them. He'll have to, though
-
It will take... things to happen for Lyn to change his mind. What he thinks, what he prefers, these are all words to Alexander. If there is someone capable of luring out the real Lyn... guess who's the man? No, definitely not just experimenting in Alexander's book. Oh, they will experiment a lot, but the final goal goes beyond sexual gratification (of which, there will be plenty, I promise). As for Brad's role, I'm keeping my mouth shut. I want all the twists and reveals to be a shock to everyone!

True, if only Lyn could see it

[Memory, Freshman Year, Winter Break] – Two Types of Friends
Laura S. Fox posted new chapter in Misaligned
Chapter Twelve – [Memory, Freshman Year, Winter Break] – Two Types of Friends Lyn examined the steep slope without hiding his suspicion that it wouldn’t be a great an idea to sled down it like a maniac. He had heard enough about Brad’s extended family to imagine the chaos that would come with it, but nothing had truly prepared him for the reality. An assortment of cousins, aunts and uncles, even two pair of grandparents were assembled at Brad’s family’s home, so his arrival had gone almost- 40 comments
