  1. Oh, yes, he did exactly that - dumping his biggest fan. Wencel is a vengeful bastard. So gaining something doesn't even matter to him at this point.
  2. Hearst will be soon on the move. He might not have what it takes - money or status - to fight the show head-on, but he's a smart one. His solution will be pretty good And I think that will be a pretty good way to apologize. Jamie needs to find something else to do the same.
  3. Unfortunately, Hearst doesn't have that sort of money. The solution needs to come from some place else... And I like to think it will be a surprise.
  4. Chapter Forty-Six – The Things We Can Never Take Back It had been so petty of him to say such a thing. Petty, terrible, vengeful, and showing all the signs of impotence. Jamie hated himself for saying it, especially since it wasn’t true. Cottontail had been the best fuck of his life in many ways, but it looked like keeping things nicely separated was a skill he had yet to master. It fucking hurt. Cottontail, whose real name he still didn’t know, was part of the larger scheme seemingly
  5. Oh, yes, he is I love your explanation. There's a lot of projection - from all sides - and since Lyn is too busy self-controlling his own to the extreme, there's little he can spare to observe and see Alexander. And yes! They're very similar
  6. As you might know by now with me... I'll leave clues, but hopefully I will not fall into the habit of hitting you over the head with them. I'm sure my very astute readers will pick on them, even when they're going to be only partial clues.
  7. Funny how some people find Alexander perfect, while others called him certain names such as 'selfish', 'a real piece of work'... He's something for everyone, lol!
  8. Hmm, hmm, maybe... But even college-version Lyn will evolve in his attitude toward Alexander. His current attitude is more related to the way they broke up - the three of them, than with their history together as a whole.
  9. Oh, so many things in this comment that I must address... let's hope I don't miss anything vital. Lyn is set in his ways; he believes he knows what's what, so Alexander's actions... well, they mess up the order he chose for himself, including his unrequited crush. I really love the way you commented on the 'domestic scene' - it's really making me glad and proud of my writing when people go so deep into what I write, even if these are only fictional characters, and this is just a story. Yep, not a performance. It's real, and Lyn knows it, no matter what he might say out loud. Well, about Brad... I think it's safe to say that he's the one who's going to hold on to his mask the longest. Lyn might have been crushing on him - in the past - but now he's close to Alexander. Besides the physical spatial and time limitations, there are others in the way. I'm sure you will get more confused by Brad as time passes, but I also like to think that you'll notice clues that Lyn will turn a blind eye to. Brad will remain a mystery, I'm sorry! For a while... but I also like to think that when he reveals himself, you'll consider him just a flawed human being, but not one to hate. Not answering the last question
  10. That's quite the theory there, @Philippe You are correct that Alexander is very proud and wants to be pursued by Lyn. For anyone who believes he's perfect... isn't having too much pride a flaw?
  11. Yes, that should be obvious for everyone, except Lyn.
  12. Well said...
  13. So true! Only Lyn perceived it differently... let's see if he can still deny it now.
  14. Due to their history together - which, of course, at this point, the readers don't know yet - Lyn might be in his rights to consider Alexander a tease and nothing else. Their usual familiarity didn't have such a component in the past, so Lyn is a bit at a loss here... but have I mentioned Lyn is an unreliable narrator? I think the readers will get to know and understand Alexander pretty well (and before Lyn who's the main character).
  15. Chapter Eight – [Memory, Freshman Year, November] – The Usual Letdowns Lyn dragged his feet in an absurd attempt to make his trip take longer; if he were to employ the logic behind Zeno’s paradox, all motion was an illusion, which meant that he might not arrive home tonight or ever. But, of course, no matter what philosophers from Ancient Greece had to say about the way humans perceived their reality, the limitations of the physical world he lived in were fine and dandy. And now, he wa
  16. Thank you! And love the gif!
  17. That just sounded very flattering for the author!
  18. All at the right moment... I promise!
  19. Someone knows me too well! Yes, it's never so easy with me... no, no, no (and I just imagined repeating the 'no' in Astarion's voice (character in the video game Baldur's Gate 3 - a vampire, but damn so sexy and well, so very pansexual))
  20. Now you guys made me regret giving Danny the unbreakable condoms, lol!
  21. Well, Anton, you do make a fine point. And that bite will come
  22. Thank you for the wonderful comment! Yes, I do imagine Ryder speaking like a true gentleman... and he is one, regardless of his rough appearance. Danny's true nature will resurface, and it will be at a glorious time (I'm talking action here, real action)
  23. I guess I really did mess this one up!
  24. I officially apologize for the sturdy condoms! But it would make a good commercial... The crisis starts now (I just posted a new chapter)
  25. Okay, I feel like there's an inside joke here...
