We can pause for our arguing for a good cause. Gravy falls under this category. This whole thread is like the scene on Forrest Gump when Forrest and Bubba are on the bus and Bubba spouts off all kinds of shrimp. Only it's gravy. Lol Chicken gravy.. turkey gravy.. beef gravy.. lamb gravy.. mushroom gravy.. vegetarian gravy.. sausage gravy.. Guinness gravy........

Today was bittersweet. I've had my dad's last car that he ever bought since he died. It finally got to the point where the repair needed was double what the car was worth. Now after over 7 years with no car payment....we've got one.. ugh. But we upgraded from a 2008 Mercury Sable sedan to a 2017 Lincoln MKX SUV. So there's that.

Damn... this has been a day for new discoveries. @astone2292 thanks for the tutorial on how to deal with gonorrhea. I also can now blame @Mrsgnomie's latest chapter for my newfound knowledge of foreskin shots. The images seared into my brain are quite damaging. Help me.

I'm not a tequila fan but I wouldn't mind doing a Perry or Kyan shot (or 2) Speaking of busses.... it's the first day of school where I am. So as a reminder now that it's back to school season.. either watch out for the kiddos (or the cops running speed traps in school zones) or keep in mind... the heavier the back pack is; the more bonus points you get, and if you take out a helicopter mom, more extra points .. lol.

I know it's hard not to shoulder guilt but the scenario you described is all-too common in the elderly. I worked in a nursing home/rehab facility for 7 years. Something similar happened to my mom as well. I also just lost a good friend a few weeks ago after she fell and broke her femur. She was young (59) but had a lot of underlying health issues. Unfortunately, as we age our bodies ability to heal diminishes and when other health concerns are added it becomes even harder. You've done an amazing job taking care of your mom. 96 years is an incredible accomplishment. It still hurts knowing that someone you love is declining but you are in no way a failure.
