Where is @raven1 anyway? Did you smother him by accident. There are so many of you I'd hate to see anyone trampled. Or did you banish him to the farthest reaches of the multiverse and he's lost?

I didn't give any thought to the genealogy behind the name. I chose it for the word association. Kasar comes from Sanskrit, meaning 'resembling a lion'. Huntington, obviously is derived from hunter. @Danilo Syrtis is good at figuring out the connections to my name choices. It's part of his geekiness.

I'll go out on a limb and say this. The ending to this story is happy-ish.

In Florida it's mid-August to the end of May or the 1st week of June for most counties. They started thus past Wednesday in my county. They get two weeks off at Christmas and Spring break is the 2nd or 3rd week of March. Growing up in Massachusetts we went back the Wednesday after Labor Day and got out in June. We got a week off at Christmas, in February and in April.

Tears are good. They're cathartic. Kage isn't going to be resurrected, at least not in this lifetime (more on this later 😉) Elijah will have some things to take care of before he can recover. Huntington will be taken care of .. eventually.

No, just two. But both are PITA's. The bigger one looks hella viscious when he barks, which is good and bad. It's good because he scares the bejezus out of anyone at the door and bad because he scares the bejezus out of anyone at the door. He's pretty protective of me, especially when we're out for a walk. Otherwise they're both pretty lazy.

They will, but the delivery fee is more than the gas it takes to drive a mile there and back. Plus anyone at the door sets the dogs off.
