Another thought...
I don't think Jamie will be able to keep his abilities from Mike. For one-Wanker is shady AF and I would take everything he said with a grain of salt.
Sure, Jamie needs to figure out the extent of what his abilities are, but he needs someone he can trust to help him gauge what he can do so he doesn't hurt himself or others.
Wanker is an idiot.
It's been an interesting first two weeks at my new job. I get that online training modules are the way to go for most companies nowadays, but there's something to be said for hands on, in classroom training. It's one thing to read how to do something and pass the knowledge test and another to actually practice it and being shown how to navigate all the different software systems. Eh.. it'll come eventually.
Still waiting to hear about a condo we're interested in. Keep your fingers crossed. It'll cut hubby's commute down to about 10-15 minutes and mine will be about the same but I won't have to battle the idiots crossing the Manatee River everyday.
Snowbird season winds down at the end of March... woohoo!
Goodbye weekend... until next time.
Have a good week everyone!
What's a story without a few red herrings? And cliffies. And the awesome twisty-turnies?
I'm now thoroughly invested in the story. Great writing. The editing ain't bad either. (Luv ya tim! 😘)
This was a great building chapter. It's not often that you see characters so upfront with each other so early in their relationship. You can't build anything unless there's a solid foundation and these two have laid it down (yes... double entendre..lol)
Dominic swiping Dylan's phone..😅😅
Lock your phones peeps... just do it. Otherwise, kids and pain in the ass siblings will run with it. Every. Time. (My brother learned the hard way after a certain sister changed his background photo not once, not twice, but three times. Close up of the nostrils, close up of the inside of her mouth and a close up of the crease of her bent elbow. Sucker.)
You are in such an amazing place right now and I'm so proud of you. Sometimes it's hard not to focus on the negative, especially when it brings you into a headspace that's not a good place to be.
We all need reminders everyday of what's good in life. Having a support system is crucial.
Thanks for the reminder to stop and focus on the good stuff (like donuts)
xoxo
I just read a little about it while I waited for my Uber. It's amazing how many intricacies the human brain has that differ from person to person.
I remember in 6th grade our teacher gave a class assignment. She read a description from The Hound of the Baskervilles. It was the exterior of a house and the walkway leading up to it. We had to draw what she described. 30-some odd kids in the class and there were 30-some odd different versions. One kid drew a square. I'm willing to bet he has anphantasia.
Out of curiosity... is it just visual for you, or does it affect your other senses?
Quirky names can be fun. It's when parents take a perfectly normal name and spell it like they're trying to induce an aneurysm in Vanna White.
