Aww, thanks. I just type what my brain tells me to. Most of the time it works out. When I started writing my skills weren't great. I took the advice of other authors and learned to be better. Its like anything else ..it takes practice.

Yep, I wanted the issue of his identity resolved before transitioning into the next several chapters. It didn't need to be hanging over their heads for much longer.

Miles worked on a farm in Ohio. It's how he earned enough money to buy his motorcycle. It was mentioned in the first chapter. His uncle probably would have changed the will if he lived. Who knows? Like I mentioned, its not an integral part of the plot. It becomes helpful later on, but it's not completely necessary.

Of course there are more hurdles. We're only on chapter 7. Who knows what was going through his uncle's head when he made his will? I sure as hell don't know. It's not important to the rest of the story. And how the hell did you miss the little Easter egg I dropped into this chapter?

His uncle was a POS, and money doesn't change that. He preferred booze over BMWs. Again, this is a transition chapter for Miles. I didn't want to go into a bunch of legalities so I took a large bite of literary liberties with this one. Morgan is now Miles and I'm sure at some point they'll mail him his birth certificate with any other paperwork that he needs. I'm not going to dwell on it or even mention it again. Sometimes we just gotta go with the flow and this is one of those times.

I'm going to clarify something. The inheritance is not going to be a major plot point . It will have some significance later on, but it's not going to be a recurring issue. I think it gets mentioned once or twice from here on out. I could have eliminated it all together, but I like the rags to riches theme. It also served the purpose of highlighting the fact that Miles is still a kid. Thinks like a kid, acts like a kid. And kids don't always make the best decisions. The money isn't readily available to him as it is tied up in the trust. He can't squander it so he's not going to become a bratty trust fund baby. This chapter is a transition from Morgan to Miles. He's found stability for the first time in his life and doesn't want to jeopardize it. Don't get hung up on the trust. It's not a '55 Chevy. That being said, there's still a lot of chapters left for me to create all sorts of mayhem if I so chose. Hehe.
