You have piqued my interest. I think I've seen this at the Amish market. I'll have to look for it next time I go. Thanks molly!

Luckily the writing is done. Just some tweaking to the remaining chapters....and the final edits..lol! MrsG did an amazing job revamping these last two chapters. The original version had a few rough edges that needed smoothing. Such is the burden of a writer!

My playlists are all over the place. Classic rock is my ultimate fave. The only genres I can't tolerate are rap and hip hop. Classical, blues, R&B, hard rock, hair bands, pop(limited), soft rock, indie, gospel (I may not be religious, but damn them Southern Baptists can belt out a tune!)...you name it and I'll listen. Country is okay....not on any of my playlists, but I'll listen if I'm in someone else's car. So yeah...whiplash is possible when cruising with me on a road trip!🤪

I can definitely vouch for the "better than before"!

Still nope on the peppers. Carrots I can eat until I turn orange. I found some pre-cut already bagged (four 6oz bags) for $1.99 at the store when I got the fruit. Great snack for work. Veggie Tales Gone Wild!!🤣🤣 Playlist shuffle on the way home hit John Cougar (when he was just John Cougar), Aerosmith, Lord Huron, Alicia Keys, Queen and a little CCR. For tonight's dinner I'm sautéing asparagus in olive oil and this amazing seasoning I picked up at Aldi (I think). It's a spicy sundried tomato. Not salty and has a nice little kick. I thawed out some turkey meatballs that were in the freezer and I've got whole wheat pasta cooking. I'll add that to the asparagus and meatballs, add a little more oil and dinner is done. Not a single bell pepper in sight!

There's not much in the fruit department that I don't care for. Not a big fan of blueberries unless they're in something like pancakes. Veggies however are a roadblock I'm learning to deal with. Roasting them usually does the trick. Bell peppers are an absolute hard NO for me. Mushrooms are a close second, but if my life depended on eating a serving of mushrooms I could do it. If it depended on me eating a serving of bell peppers...well it would make for an interesting obituary. 🤭😆

Wow...I was craving fruit before lunch time so I took a quick trip out to the grocery store. Paid too much for pre-cut fruit, but day-ummm that was mighty good watermelon and pineapple! I have enough for tomorrow too and by then the cantaloupe I have at home should be ripe.

I'm going to have to disagree. Matt never took Seamus for granted. Way back at the beginning he was super hesitant to take Seamus up on his offer. Seamus insisted that he didn't mind. When you're a 20/21 year old kid thrust into the role of parent you'll grab any lifeline that's thrown. Matt has made huge strides in his level of maturity. Old Matt would've thrown a hissy fit right back at Seamus. This time he recognized that they were going nowhere and he needed to tap out for both their sakes. Yes he got upset, but he didn't lash out until the very end and he stepped back exactly when he needed to. Was he a little pissy? Yup, but Seamus was being an ass. Will they get their shit together? 🤐

❤❤ YES! These past two chapters were tough! Finally we get to see a crack in Seamus! Aidan and Matt aren't the only ones who get to have a breakdown! So glad we got this one figured out.

My mom had gargantuan cookware and serving bowls.... five boys...all in teenage years at the same time. She never did quite figure out how to make spaghetti for 2 when it was just her and my dad! Beef barley soup for me tonight. I let it cook in the crock pot until almost bedtime last night then let sit. It was still warm when I put it in the fridge this am. Tastes good tonight though!

Please tell me you're going to start your own food prep business. I would gladly pay going rate plus shipping to the US. Instead of Hello, Fresh...you could be Hello tim!🤣🤣

Oh....I haven't had stir fry in a while. Looks like I'll be stopping for some veggies on my way home one day this week.

Nope...rarely is it ever easy when you're having one of 'those' days. Especially when an ink cartridge in the stupid printer keeps popping out of place and now your hand looks like it massacred an entire Smurf village. 🤦♀️🤷♀️ All I can do is laugh at this point.... Hope everyone else has a good Monday!

Thanks Molly! I needed to hear this today!

Just what I wanted on a Monday with vacation so close I can almost taste it.. . My shotgun weilding resident is out of jail and back at his house. Nothing I can do legally as the eviction is in the hands of the lawyer and the county Court system Of course my residents are freaking out. Maybe now they won't hesitate to call 911 if this guy acts up again.

The town I grew up in you were either French, Irish, Polish or some combination. My best friend is French/Polish. I still can remember how her house smelled when her grandmother was over making golabki. Kinda stunk! I am Irish/French and the only time we had cabbage was St. Patrick's Day. I ate the corned beef and potatoes...skipped the cabbage. I was a really picky eater as a kid. Drove my mom nuts.
-
Cabbage is one of those veggies that I'm slowly learning to like. I'm not yet ready to commit to making cabbage rolls..whole or deconstructed...yet. I'm still in the phase where cabbage is the supporting actor on my recipes, not the star of the show. I'll make the leap one of these days! That does look good though!

I've read through this entire saga twice now and I'm sure it'll be on my reread list a few more times. It is one of the best series I have ever had the pleasure of reading. The world that Mark has created is so engaging, its complexity, its richness (not monetary), its historical references, basically everything about it makes it fantastic. Mark has made me cringe, incited anger and rage. He has made me cry hysterically and laugh until I can't breathe. He's brought joy and happiness to an otherwise shitty day. I have also had my favorites. JP and Stef have held dear in my heart. JJ, the wonderful little diva.. I'm secretly rooting for him. Will....I have every confidence he will turn out to be a force of nature. I have been an avid reader since I got my first library card when I was five years old. Thousands of stories read and the ones belonging to this saga are among the select few that stand out. I'm looking forward to seeing Will truly come into his own...and yeas he still has a way to go, but he's getting there. His true love story will be epic.

Thank tim! I do have a scale and use it all the time now. I'll try this next weekend. Sounds really good!

It looked like a pretty basic recipe. All purpose flour, wheat flour, milk, salt, yeast, olive oil. I flipped the ratio of wheat flour and white flour, but still it was only a 1/4 cup difference. Oh well.... I'll try something else next week. Still looking for a good, healthier wheat bread recipe that's not too dense. I'm not a huge bread eater, but when I do have it I want it to taste good. I love multigrain bread occasionally so I'm searching for a good recipe for that too.

Nowadays ordering birth certificates can be done online, at least in the US. I used to have to walk a few of my clients thru it when I worked in travel and they needed it to apply for a passport. I like the transitioning feel to this chapter. Ethan is coming around to accepting that he needs help navigating the 'real world'. He's been hiding in his own little world too long. It's good to see him experiencing things that are engaging him socially.

Will, Will, Will. Whatever will we do with you? Will has made such huge strides toward maturity and then takes a step back, reverts to slut banging the guard and has the audacity to get upset when he sees Connie with other guys. Thankfully he caught himself and didn't act on his first instinct. Tough to get gut punched though being on the opposite side of falling in love. Still so hard to remember how young he truly is. He better watch out. Nothing good ever comes of blowing off a phone call in this family! Nice chapter Mark!

I had a hit and miss day with meal prep. I roasted carrots, zucchini, eggplant, onions, and Brussel sprouts. Took 5 separate batches but they all came out amazing. Popped it into containers with some chicken and voila! Eight lunches in the freezer for the next few weeks. Made beef barley soup...not too sure about it yet. Been in the crock pot for about 5 hours and the onions aren't translucent and that's how I like them. Probably should've par-boiled them first. I tried a recipe for sugarless bread. Don't. Just don't. It was pretty gross. My son threw his laundry in the washer before going to the beach. Calls me 15 minutes ago. Did anyone put it in the dryer? His work stuff is in there and he has to be there in an hour. 🙄🤐🤦♀️🤷♀️ Me thinks he's wearing damp clothes to work.

I do the same thing! Also I don't recognize most of the residents where I work when they come in without a mask! I agree molly. There are too many people who still haven't been or won't get vaccinated to feel comfortable being without a mask in close quarters. I wondered the same thing! Not much on the agenda today. A little meal prep for the week and trying to mentally prepare for another 6 day work week. Ten more work days until vacation. That's 9.5 too long in my opinion. Update on doggy door. Zeke seems to have gotten the hang of it! Camden has problems though because his belly gets caught on the bottom part. I'll have to make a small ramp for him. He can't jump like he used to. He's a little pork pie. Hope everyone has a good day!
-
He'll eat almost anything. That's why he's the one who usually hurls on the floor..😂 He stole a slice of cheese as I was giving Camden a piece for coming thru the door first. I stupidly dropped the other hand down too low and he snatch it.
