She did if I recall correctly mention welsh. She also would be carefully about not saying to much about where they had been or were because her ex husband Michael had been successfully stalking them. How I love smoked glass and misdirection in stories. It makes for such a good gripping yarn with lots of twists. It would seem that Grant and Lloyd have already some connection by Lloyd's reaction in the study to seeing Grant and Grants acceptance of it for what it is.

Ah you are correct but I also allowed for the fact that young Lloyd may have said something along those lines or at least alluded to it when he speaks to Grant in Scots Gaelic and Grant returns the said greeting Scots Gaelic. This is where the confusion could be coming in. However, it is important to note that they have been in Wales.Welsh Gaelic is quite different from Scots and also Irish Gaelic. Scots and Irish linguistically are closer than Brythonic Welsh. The best way to describe it would be to say they can understand each other, just as middle, high and lower German can understand each other as well as wendish which while it isn't German is from eastern Germany is understood by Germans who live in the region. We aren't told that Lloyd has studied Scots Gael. I suspect that he might have picked it up on a visited to see where his family originated from. We don't need to be told that but I think you would agree if ones family came from a certain area which you were now close to even though still a few hours away one would attempt to visit there to see the old country. So his use of Gael could be dictionary or just something that he picked up while touring.

We were told early in the story that Lloyd was at that stage 13. So depending on the time frame he would be between 13-15 yes old.
-
Maybe Elspheth and Lloyd are in Scotland and England to try and avoid Michael who is being a creep and bully. That much would make sense in the context of the story.

Who knows what will happen between Kyle and Grant. Nothing is indicated yet but then then Kyle spent several days in the room next to Grant to keep an eye on him until he is well. Then there is the earlier question after their failed situation in Scotland at school when he decides he is better of not pursuing a relationship while at school, so unless things change in a hurry I wouldn't expect him to be in for awhile yet. There is the question now of Elspheth and Lloyd. He may not be interested doing much until their relationship is defined better and sorted out.

I think we do have an idea as to what Teddy thinks about the condition of Ryder's heart and what stress and drugs do to it. This comes through in the way he burrs up when the median left monitor goes of. But we haven't been told if it is stress or damage. Temporary or permanent. The only thing we know and can extrapolate is that it is very serious indeed.

Quokka I actually reread this chapter three more times today. I would use my stock whip I think on her my hands are too crippled with gout and arthritis. I find it too difficult to make fists.lol Think a stock whip would sting more too.

We have an over abundance of poor mediocraty that call themselves lawyers here but charge like wounded bulls for doing nothing and are quite happy to twist, ignore or trade the facts away for what they want which is never justice.lol

Drpalladin your assessment of Egypt's problems aren't correct. Egypt's problem was A stubborn ignorant Pharaoh who was jealous of the better man who both was trained in the Egyptian system, understood it and was backed by a deity that is real and powerful not stone and wood.lol

I know what you mean Quokka. Lol I would like to bash the lights out of a useless ice user and his lady friend as they broke in to my flat today and stole my computers ,razors and old blades but not my new ones as they weren't in my shaving kit. He has just got out of jail after raping a young girl ten years ago and he is a dealer in ice to kids wherever he lives as well. Lol . As I said to the police today there is law but very little justice today. People like this who steal should have their hand removed. That much of old testament or sharia law I agree with. People who willfully destroy others lives be it rape or murder should loose the right to life. They have forever destroyed others lives. When they are like this nasty piece of work. They aren't redeemable. He was out on parole several years ago here and sold drugs to many people here mainly ice and meth including young kids 10-12 yes old. These people cost society $100,000.00 or more a year to keep in jail which fails badly at rehabilitating them. This isn't the first time I have been a victim of this perverted creep this is the fourth time that he has stolen from me. The police and legal system only hand out law very rarely if ever does it hand out justice!!!

I think it is a funny story so far. I think Kurt knows what he wants and is determined in how he goes about getting it! he is very direct and open about it so there can't be complaints there. Now as to whether he is a little bit of both psychopath and Machiavellian in his psyche, that is an entirely another question and issue. For my money, I don't think so . I think he is just genuinely determined to really like this artist!

I hope Grant teaches her a lesson in behavior and manners by suing her.She needs a lesson like that. Quinn needs all the attention he can get from the others.I bet Grant sees that he will get it too. That headache has shaken him up.I hope it isn't a sign of things to come for him as he just doesn't need it.

What a chapter! Kyle and Quinns mother is a real bad nasty piece of work. She really needs a rude awakening especially since Kyle and Quinn are so happy to see each other again. Why is she so hateful and vengeful?

A great chapter with lots of interest and excitement.

What a great chapter.I wondered if Bryce had just shelved his personal needs or decided others needs were greater than his. It is good to see he has found someone. I'm not really surprised it has come later but I would have liked to have seen him stay active in the story more as he is such brilliant direct individual. It would be great to see him and his mate come to live sometime on the stations even if only to act as afoul or extra dimension to this story as he is still young ,clever and very intelligent and a shrewd powerful talented operator. But kes is no slouch either as the recent events prove with outstandingly successfully results over different areas of the companies life. Go guys!!!!!

Another good and very exciting chapter.

Poor TJ. I wish someone would deal with Carter .He is just a self seeking, grafting ,user and generally all it round no good mongrel who only thinks about himself if he even thinks at all. The most he can do is think and live in the moment be cause he is so drugged and stoned out. He should have been arrested not TJ. This arrest is going to add a world of woes mentally to TJ.

A great revealing chapter. Oli is Oli. He puts on a loud brave front at times but underneath he hurts just as easily as everyone else and just wants acceptance, love and friendship instead of being picked on by loudmouthed bullies and people who don't seem to understand him and what he needs. I actually like Olie. I think he adds a nice counterpoint or foil to the story. He comes across as very real and very human warts and all but badly wants unconditional love and acceptance which we have seen him not get much of. Maybe Ryder will show the way.to Olie and his family I think that there has been a tentative brake through between Olie and his brother Teddy in this chapter and just maybe in his mum as well.
-
One other thing,Oliver wasn't supposed to tell anyone Ryder was staying there to recover etc; but he has told and let the cat out the bag which could cause trouble for them down the track. Keep a weathered eye out for cyclone or hurricane media shortly. lol
-
Oliver did the right thing standing up for himself as neither the class teacher who was biased and refused to listen nor the principal who should have known better and had a zero tolerance policy in place also failed her duty of care. You can bet your bippies that if it was a favourite student or one of their own kids it would have been dealt with properly before it got to this stage. The school should be taken to court as even at the end of it all they are still be ing reactionary and not dealing with either side in a positive way. Plus Tommy's mum seems to be quite the piece of work also wanting to blame everyone except darling precious Tommy who does no wrong. Oh for shame!
-
Oliver and Tommy are like oil and water they just don't .They just ignite and blow up. Apparently it's like mother like son.lol
-
normally it would be the bigger red kangaroos out there. If they get you ,its bites and chewed ears, guts ripped every which way and hugged tightly to death . Just sit him on a bucking bull would be better it would take longer and be more laughs for the crowd.

Great chapter and just love the way Kes handles the yokel who doesn't believe him.lol

Time will tell if Jack's intentions are honourable or if they pave his way to hell.It is difficult to know for certain what he is doing until after he has done it and the results are there for everyone to see. I would have thought if Jack supported Billy's and Brett's closeness he would have locked horns with the errant preached and told him in no uncertain terms to leave well enough alone. But he hasn't . So something has to be happening that we know nothing about at this point in time.
-
My thoughts on Billy's comments about the likeness of Joey and Brett being more noticeable now than previously and his other comments about that are likely very true. I suspect that even though we aren't told this , he has heard a number of comments from others along those lines. It is naive and silly not to expect that type of thing on a small community. The same holds true about Billy's comments about Jack being not as important or influential as Jack thinks he is. Billy would have heard plenty of comments on the small town gossip vine along this line of thinking and would know from his own observations as to whether Jack is a wind bag and blowhard! More than this, he is very manipulative of those around him. We are shown ample evidence of this by his actions in what he says to Billy away from Brett's room. While those action may have the end result of supporting Billy they are merely a poor attempt to keep Billy from telling what he knows about who Is really Brett's father. These actions are those of a manipulator who is afraid of dirty secrets being revealed not those of someone who genuinely likes and supports Billy. I find it quite ironic and amusing that the father has put himself in this position so quickly. I wonder if there is more that is being hidden that no one knows about yet!
