Another very good chapter. I thought for a moment that Ben was going to show James his new truck but it is a bit early for that. And yes I am eager to see what's in the next installment of James and Ben its just starting to get interesting now. I also wonder what he will do when he has to finally go home! Even fifteen months s not that like long time n the scheme of things especially when you think about how long administrators and Governors usually hold the jobs for. However in this situation he has been flat out getting everything up and running from scratch to a point where in can function well without his continued input all the time to keep things running. Another great chapter.I wonder what mischief the government and the navy can find for him now. Am I correct in thinking that where you mention the administrators of Coco and Keeling Group and Christmas Island group that Christmas is again in Australia's hands or is that just wishful thinking?

An exciting chapter again with so much happening in a very short while. My only comments to this would be look out those who would harm the USA. in this situation. I am surprised that retired ships haven't been called back into service as I know.many are in storage. Yes it has only been a short time but withe the.destruction of most of the carrier fleet arm.it would seem very important to bring those in mothball back into service and also the battle cruisers and battleships as.they great force multiplier's in a situation like this. Added to this issue the fact that it takes much longer to build new boats with the being of the was essence it would make sense to spin up retired boats to fill immediate gaps while building new ones so that they may protect the oil and what they had gained prior to the nuclear bombing and the sinking of many of the carriers plus call on retired navy men and new recruits to train to take on these assignments. Ai guess we will just have to wait to see what the new president and his advisors decide to come up with. I wouldn't think that it would be to long before we hear what they will be doing!

What an interesting and spiritual chapter and quite exiting and at the same time because some could not get their way, they decide to bomb innocent people when they are the weakest. My bet would be Russia and China as being the main culprits this this time Plenty of twists and suspense and cliff hangers. This would suggest the possibility of many chapters and side plots to be developed yet in this story.

A very positive speedy and pleasing outcome that could have easily turned quite nasty. Our excellent commander is speedy in the exercise of his duties is governing with humanity and commonsense..The Americans are her conspicuous by their all most total absence. . This is quiet curious.

I am an Aussie who spent most is his life in the bush and on the land being a jack of all trades. I remember a lot of details but sometimes don't always put down correctly what I am thinking about. I also have a memory like an elephant which my siblings don't . They don't like it when I trot something out from the past accurately they get quite cranky! I don't care anymore after what they think as they have given me so much grief over the years especially the last twenty. Single handedly they managed to wreck my health for me by the serious stress they have caused me.

Another great chapter . Are the Chagos Islands actually real? I have never heard of the. And why is the US so reluctant to let Australia in? Diego Garcia is actually leased by the US from Great Britain . I think it is a ninety nine year lease. Our Commander Shaw is definitely a very cunning and Wiley officer and strategist. The beauty is the commodore is not only content to follow Shaw's lead but work with him and in some way let him have his head as a proven warrior. Having the VC. isn't any hindrance either as anyone with one of them is saluted first by any senior officer present as it is the most senior battle field honour any British or commonwealth military person can recieve.

Another exciting and interesting chapter.It is interesting to note how quickly under fire Dylan steps up to command in a void left by Captain Overtons demise. He is definitely a warrior strategist while Henry is the logistics wiz. What with his firearms proficiency and his ability to command from the front and the love the men have for them both but Dylan in particular because not only does he want to learn but he doesn't put a foot Wrong in hostile situations winning the loyalty of the troops much older and more experienced from stepping up and taking and making command decisions on and of the field and even fronting up for all his training just as the do. Plus the talent they both have for rapid problem solving and the ability to read people in any situation that they find themselves makes them not just respected but loved and revered as people who first and for most care about those they serve and work and with even if hurt they make sure the injured ones are cared for and get the right treatment. I for see both boys but Dylan in particular are slated for greater things. I wouldn't be surprised if in the story they become the youngest commanders in modern war history.

Its an interesting chapter again.I'm glad Dylan gets these attacks of the guilts as I call them. It shows quite simply ,that he is a conscious ,ethical ,moral person whose moral compass isvery finely tuned and balanced and he listens to it all the time as it guides him to do the best he can and be for the greater good. The beauty is he doesn't reject it ,but is guided by it, and even on the go in ,the most dire of circumstances, he is able, under fire and the fog of war, so to speak make the right decision on the run. Not just that, but he is able to function normally very quickly, even though he may have questions of consciousness over what he has done. This is one of the things that makes man greater than the rest of the animal kingdom, if he doesn't listen to self interest or ones stomach like the neo Nazi Turners did.

I think I have heard something like that in the past at one of thought sustainable farming systems seminars I have been too,hence my comments about rock minerals like basalts granites and limestones composted with waste solids from cities instead of ocean outfalls and also any animal wastes and manures and green waste. I know quite a lot of farmers around chicken farms feed lots and pig of ms are using the waste as fertiliser.

This it is a great chapter in a great story . The possibility of this type of war starting could easily happen and we in Australia while we have strategic gas and oil reserves have no way of processing them into necessary fuel supplies as it is all done in Singapore and Malaysia. You can bet your bippy that if a push came to a shove in time of war all of our petrol products would stay there and not come back here. It has been a good twenty years at least that our last refineries were closed down and pretty much disassembled. I have heard it said that for Australia to start refining again would take at best Eighteen months. This would be eighteen months when nothing could get done because we cannot move to do anything and have no way of processing what we have and no way of getting what we would need from offshore if such a dastardly us scenario were to ever play out. I really don't think many people think about this. Yes some feel in the USA you have the strategic oil reserves but how long would that last while not stated in your story I would think along with targets that you mentioned the strategic reserves would be be the best way to place the USA in a very invidious situation which would well lead to such a situation, with the only difference is that The UK gets a large amount from the north sea but not all and europe gets most of its gas and oil from the Russians and gasprom. I don't think that scenario would play out well or quite like you depict unless it is well after peak oil. For that reason only Japan and China and Asia and India would be the worse hit. I would think as most of their oil comes from the middle east with some from Russia.

I think relying on the United Nations To much, is like asking a toothless Tiger with arthritis, to go up against angry villagers armed heavily. In situations like this,it always seems the groups with the biggest and best stick,will win the day and get their message across to the school yard bully.My thoughts are Australia will interesting need to get strong backing from her friends and allies to help sort this mess or at least run interference while Australia make a surgical strike against the foxes in the hen house that is Christmas Island or some over Islands or neighbours,may suffer more incursions of this nature. Noticed that,but as I say, unless you know something that I don't, I would not have thought that an issue for them as unlike Australia, where we have some of the most phosphate depleted soils in the world, the Indonesians and Philipinos have some of the richest soils mineral wise because their soils are young and constantly being topped up with rich ash etc; from active volcanoes , and even earthquakes turn the soil over bringing nutrients from deeper down to the surface. its basic geology 101. However, there are many other countries where this is already a problem. One way around this, is to use a more holistic approach and use a blend of crushed basalt,granite, lime gypsum etc, composted with manures and other waste solids, and use it as a bio stimulant,char or fertiliser and ameliorant to soils. It works a treat in deficient soils, especially if deep riping can take place. This can and does bring deeply leached nutrients to the surface and depending on conditions, doesn't need doing every year. Deep ripping is good for busting the hard pan, that normal cultivating in wet times creates a hard pan or floor in farming soils. This also tends to make for poor water penetration and storage in fields where this is a problem and then water erosion becomes more of a problem . No till has a place but it creates a major problem because so much chemical is used, that weed resistance becomes a compellingly major headache and problem.
