What and interesting and suspense filled chapter with a is several twists a stalking, anger, shock and last but not least a cliffy. I think you have a warped sense of humour doing all that in one chapter and putting the poor, sad,wee laddie in the middle of it all. It just isn't done, but who am I to complain. Lol

What an interesting that twist in this chapter . One I wasn't expecting.

Melinda briefly mentions that some of the navy wives had told her who he was and to see him. A great chapter. I love the VC. touch. So fitting and rewarding. Can't but feel his loyal but young nephew was short changed and deserves some reward for helping his uncle in what is way beyond what a boy his age would experience and be expected to do. But he stepped up just like his uncle did and no complaints. The irony and beauty of this part of the story is because of few days together at cocos and Keeling Islands doing the swimming and diving that they had not been able to do on Cook Is, his nephew has headed back home none the worse for his experience of invasion first. This positive experience will no doubt serve him very well in the future and will frame and forge a strong mental attitude with him of self worth and wellness with little or no mental trauma. I believe his close relationship to his Uncle is already so reinforced by their shared experience that he and his uncle will have many experiences together for the greater good, not to mentioned their own wellbeing.

The average aussie is very good at tall poppy syndrome. If they think someone is acting way above how they were born they like to pull them down, pull them apart or rip it up them. They are having a field day with our current pm . and our previous three PMS.just because they dare to be different or are very Wealthy or some other reason.

What a sad and happy story. Poor Ian, he has been left feeling so worthless and depressed by his distant dead father who he never really knew his rotter of a mother who pimped him out and the men that used him and foster homes that for some reason or another rejected him leading him to think he was worth less than a bug to be squashed . It is no wonder he attempts suicides, feels so alone and rejected that.he actually despise his name, that he doesn't trust anybody and has fits of panic attacks and flash backs when either something untoward is done to him as he perceives it or certain words or sentenced s that act as triggers for an attack. Ian has no sense of self worth, no concept of love or being loved except by his best buddy Steve or sense of trust and security. He is a lad that needs so much unconditional love to restore all this to him even then it may not truly take and be a successfully graft as the damage could be too deep to be treated properly or success fully. This should never happen to children. What vil always seems to spawn litters of severe problems and Trouble with no answers or at least no easy ones.

Lol.You have a good sense of humour. Tall poppy syndrome is like a bed of poppies most are fairly even and regular in height, but every now and again one will be head and shoulders above the rest. Now when this happens to someone at first everyone admires the person who rises above the mundane and mediocre to be truly successfully or even great. Abut is there is a whiff of salacious scandal or wrong doing everyone flees them and isolates that person as if they suddenly had leprosy or Ebola and are suddenly vermin that need to be got rid of ie;/ENRON, the big lenders etc; in financial crash of 2007 on so on.

I am curious as to why people are saying Amara is on drugs too.May be he is may be he isn't. Remember what Justin Bieber was like early in his career then later after the useless guards and everyone else got involved to get a share of the action. We know the media said he did drugs but there was never any proof ,plus the fact that at that time he was already involved with a conservative pentecostal group here in Australia and the U.S.A. makes me doubt that was true. So where does this idea that Amara and even his twin in reguard to the drugs. They are more hyper than anything. This may suggest some type of autistic savantism in both boys. It would explain a lot of the strange behaviour being exhibited by both. The only mention has come from suggestion that they are like all other stars and do the same thing behaviour wise as them! Yes the suggestion is there. But gee it is a pretty long bow to pull and shot when you consider the quality of the people who are hanging on and suggesting it to Drew!Drew certainly hasn't accepted as bona fide fact as he hasn't seen them do it. I think nephylim has just created mass hysteria on a level Like Orson Welles did when he did the original narration of the war of the worlds on radio in 1940 or so. Lol.😂 Being an Aussie I tend to want the in your face proof before I will say yes or know about something like this.Remember there is a human tendency to love salacious stories and out and out gossip of the pumkin vine variety,no matter how wild, unfounded and untrue they maybe, most people just love too spread it too. Its called tall poppy syndrome. And yes nephylim, I absolutely detest the low life that Ben is and I am not real pleased about the guard who spends quite some time chatting to Drew after the show.He shows a distinct lack of moral fibre and courage to do the right thing and pull the way rug out from under Bens feet. Both he and Ben by their actions or lack of them are contributing too the problems per se. This will set everyone up for very bad situations later on which could so easily have been avoided.

I would not be surprised if the good captain and his team bought limpet type mines this attach boats obstruct the harbour facilities plus other explosives like c4 to cause havoc at the main he site and to Crucial buildings used by the scumbag invaders. I think will the Lt. Commander will happily oblige the SAS team and I would not be surprised if Mitch gets some of the action too.

Nah I can think of better names for mongrels like Ben.They are the bane of my life this days and when I was working in shearing sheds. He is nothing better than a mongrel slimy piece of worm ridden filth. He needs many slaps up the back of the head to wake him up if that is undead possible but I doubt it is.

Young Mitchell sure is a trooper and a brave little one at that.I would be surprised if at some stage he take s on a stronger support role to assist his uncle out. He is clearly very smart and clever at putting things together and coming up with the right answer's.
-
Somehow I think that the discription of Ben being a penis with ears not quite apt.I think sleaziod or sleazeball, or an octopus or shark on drugs with mean intent would be far better. At this stage I would reserve my judgement of Amara because 1. We have no real idea how bad his behaviour is or bow far the drugs have taken him. That Amara has problems there are is no doubt , but it is a matter of degree and if the is so me deeper cause or reason at play for him to be like that.It may well be that based on his coments thus far in the story that Ben may be doing something to Amara either pyshically or mental in the sense of abuse.Only this me well tell what the problem is.

While I have never used drugs I have seen first hand what they do in the way work plàce and around where I am currently living .Believe me when I say I have a golf club, cricket bat and a stock whip to sort them out. Already I have been burgled 6 times and had my computers stolen twice. Anyone on drugs is a social menace in my opinion.

Should be he has inherited bens problems that he has caused with both previous and current staff and also the boys.
-
He might be getting into touchy but so far he is handling them well even Amara's drug fueled petulant outburst . The beauty is h seems to have realised he has inherited Troy me and praise problems caused by others who either turn a blind eye, add to the problems by not only saying no but joining in when their principal is set to get run amock, or by telling untrue tales that set others up for a fall. I suspect Amara might have taken some ice or method as his Rage suggest' that has might have taken some type of rave/party drug to boost his performance.

This story is getting more and more ,"What the Heck is going on".I am really enjoying it and looking forward to the next chapter.

This was an interesting chapter. I especially liked how they accessed the tree house. Whoever due did the grammer checking missed a little problem . In the sentence where you discuss a problem you have the Lt. Commander ..."there is laws...". The connective should be are which is the correct one.to use in the plural form. for the single case is is acceptable is; " ...there is a law." There is also a spelling mistake towards the end where you meant to use are but actually wrote care.

A.grand start to this new story and setting scenes in terms of places, locations, people, events and so on. Looking forward to more with my looking glass.lol Kevin PS. Your last story was great too.

I think Bailey should take the families of the bullies to court for damages and also the bullies and the previous school as well. That behaviour by staff and students can never be justified and vindicated. If it is then it predicates bad.behaviour on behalf of the staff and predicates their I n bad negative views so the garbage is perpetuated and multiplies. one famous english statesman once said of certain policies of the crown towards the colonies at the time of the American revolutionary war; "If the law says that it is an ass" and again the same man said," For evil to triumph all it takes is a few good men to do nothing." Both axioms hold true today in situations such as these.Just sometimes one can have a moral victory that can turn the tide and other time the fight can be long and hard and even appear as being a waste of time. Fair enough .But I will still disagree quokka . I think I will have let loose the dogs of war , to harass you.the dogs being dingoes and foxes. Lo I don't believe a great story can be left like that ever! Lol
-
I wouldn't be at all surprised if. Cheeky little hopper quokka as another story sequel lined up in his little typing fingers. In fact I know of a worthy suggestion of sequel plot to this and another story.
-
I can think. of nothing better now than several sequels that take this story to post university and in to jobs and maybe establishing there. Home and family.
-
Most people just say dear diary. I wouldn't be bothered naming it now anyway. It's to late in the story.

It's time, Sam and the BBQ
Bushman60 commented on FSELL's story chapter in It's time, Sam and the BBQ
Great yarn and seriously good story.Yes Mason has a manor problem but I think his comments about Jamie are correct too. I hope he doesn't hurt Sam . His last comment about not knowing what Sam's expectations are a bit of a concern especially with hot ads back in the picture. -
There must be more to this story it cannot just end in mid stream like this Quokka. If it does, I will just have to sik a wild fox ( 4 legs and bushy tale of course) on to you for even thinking you could foist such an insidious calamity on your readers. You know while you said at the beginning that Miles had no connection to the kyle etc; me thinks you could actually have fun and developed a theme where Kyle and his family actually because of the medias story and police stuff up find he is a distant relative and maybe give the four lads a new start in life. This should get you going me thinks.

What a shaky beginning! Very nervous and tenuous until Andrew say wants ditch with a smile. I loved this chapter but it ended to quickly.
