  1. Good morning,

I am Craig, my dad, Chas, was cognac69. He gave me his login details so that I could pass on the details of what has happened to him.

Unfortunately my dad has been ill and kept most of the details to himself. After a stroke he was admitted to hospital and placed on life support in a coma. In the early hours of this morning I agreed with my brother and sisters that the best to do was for the life support to end. At 11.30 this morning my dad and best friend passed away peacefully and cannot return.

It is our wish that any of his work that has been posted remain for others to read.

    Thank you,

    Craig.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I didn't know him well, but he seemed like a kind man with a good sense of humor from the few interactions I had with him.

Thank you all for your kind words and comments about my dad, they are a comfort to me, his family and friends. He is much loved and will be missed. He was an imperfect but good man who made a difference to many. I'm starting to go through his papers and finding out more of the things he's done and kept quiet about, I'm surprised but I shouldn't be as that's what he was like.

I've created my own profile here as it doesn't feel right using my dad's login so you may see me around from time to time.

      Thank you,

      Craig.

My condolences to your family. Although I did not know your father very well, from the brief interactions I had. I hope his transition was peaceful. My reflection and prayers are with him, and his loved ones.

    Chapter 11

With this story and your writing style I think best way for any of us to read it is, seated comfortably at home with a glass of brandy to hand. That's the way I'm reading it anyway.

    Chapter 11

Now that the truth is out maybe that's the opening to a happier future for all, it's just what form that happiness takes that we need to know. Yes I know we have to carry on reading the story to find out, and I'm more than happy to do that with both the story and the telling of it being this good. 😁

  5. granted you have a cookie, it's here in the UK, but can you get here before the dog eats it. I wish I could sing like Pavarotti
  6. granted you can choose between a Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Porsche and a Lexus, all of which are child size pedal cars. I wish I had unlimited wishes

    Chapter 1

There's not really a suitable emoticon for this story because it's both a happy and sad story at the same time. But it is beautiful story of friendship that spans the generations. Loved it even though it has a sad ending.

    Story

A short story of the innocence of youth, something that we all went through and yet we all tend to forget. Thanks for bringing back some long forgotten memories.
