  1. Bye bye to Lizard Point, the most southernly point in England. This is the sunset yesterday- no AI, no editing:
  2. Well done! It’s a great idea.
  3. Hi, my friend, where do you find the stats? Greetings from Lizard Point, Cornwall.

Gosh, I wanted this chp to go on and on and on. Fascinating dinner with all the usual suspects. What an ace chp, Mark. THANK YOU!
  5. Will we last until the next installment? 🥵
  6. Another very good read. Amusing how the two mothers working together manage to take control of the flat being cleaned up. A fearsome pair when together! 😱
  7. And that is the magic of Robert’s stories

    Merry Christmas

What they said! So many of us are really enjoying this story…
  9. Lee, I agree with others that this is a great addition to the collection of stories which you have posted. I’m busy catching up with the chps and the multitude of comments, some of which have annoyed me. As I’m too old to deal with stupidity, I just block those people for whom I have no interest in their opinion, to which of course they are entitled. Well done, Lee this is v enjoyable, thanks
  10. Something new I’ve just learnt!
  11. Instant coffee rub???? Wow. Fascinating. Sadly I loath coffee but v glad the steaks survived for you!

Another couple of turns of the screw on the rack to which Will finds himself. What a shite thing of Austen to do. And as for the actor creature…. Almost makes me want Z**h back…. Well, almost….. Thank you Mark PS, I was thinking of Granger meeting Lord Byron at Xmas, today as we are staying almost next door to the house which he bought for his wife in Exmouth, Devon. He wasn’t v generous is all I can say!
  13. So, the visit to my sister is concluding and tomorrow we head to the West of England, ending up on a cliff top at Lizard Point. My sister hasn’t been on good form and the dementia is more and more apparent, then suddenly this evening at dinner she was sparkling. My brother in law is amazingly patient with her. Also saw my great great niece, Peach, who is two in Jan. So sweet that she knew her wicked great uncle’s name- she’s been trained to get into my will!. 😛

I have heard someone singing that song on a talent show, I think!

Sadly, yet again I’ve never heard of these songs, but I have heard of Eric Clapton, does that count?

I was so lucky at university to have not one but three amazing teachers, all women and immensely talented. All fitted your exacting standards. @pvtguy. I love the description of Emmer and look forward to seeing a lot more of him, although in one chapter Robert has fleshed him out v nicely.

Poor Travis seems to hand over himself to one person and then another. What a sad mess.
  19. To be honest, they have behaved superbly. Three days of solid driving (plus lots of pit stops), 1,700 km. Now the night in the nice hotel we use. Our little Peugeot is parked next to two Ferraris which roared in just after us. It feels inferior.
  20. And Chris heads back to work, we head off on holiday. 600km getting us an hour into France. Tomorrow anther 600 km to the Loire and next day only 400 to Channel tunnel ( though we go through it on Friday). Then to the glorious W Midlands where solid rain is forecast….. 001 and 002 have been v well-behaved, unlike some wiener dogs we know !

    Prologue

Another fun (?) story from one of our favourite authors, @Lee Wilson. Nice start, my friend.
  22. Totally hooked! V enjoyable build up to them actually speaking.
