    Thorn, I try to volunteer at a music festival here in my city each year, if you work 4 hours you can stay all day for free. That's how I'm hoping to see dashboard confessional. I'm hoping I'll get chosen. They tend to like older volunteers and ones who have done it before so I have 2 pluses hahaha

    One of the things that really helped my clients with anxiety was helping to regulate sleep as much as possible. So when you learn that stuff in school they teach you how to encourage healthy sleep, how to talk in ways that help others listen and relax and all kinds of things. It's funny. I sing like shit but I have been told by many people in many scenarios I have a very pleasant speaking voice. But then I was taught tone and inflection in grad school. Lol. Learned skill. And you probably need more practice with sleep training Thorn. It's not something people get good at overnight as I'm sure they told you

    For sleeping when you can't get in 8 hours, ensure you're sleep is quality. Don't do anything in your bed but sleep (or sex). No tv. No reading. No phone. Train your body to respond to the bed with falling asleep. Be sure you're hydrated. Being thirsty can interrupt lots of processes. Including sleep. Eat as well as you can and continue to exercise. Naps can be refreshing if kept under an hour, more than that and you kind of mess up your sleeping cycle.

Oh I hope this contract means he can move forward with his life and help his siblings get away from his awful horrible mom

    True they both have flaws. I haven't read the original so I'll take your word for it. I reserve my own opinion on what makes someone a "bad " person. I know I'm in the minority of thinking Noah is terrible and not redeemable, but that's ok. Like I said to the author, I think it might be bias because he reminds me of someone I know and dislike in real life
