Great to see Thomas is not only getting the help he needs but that at times he’s aware Jared is dead as that makes me more hopeful as to how well the therapy could go. Glad to see Desmond & Virginia are doing ok yet the hint at the next chapter doesn’t sound too positive. I mean New Year by the lake. What could be better? makes me assume the fire is going to drive them to/into the lake. Hopefully this is a red herring, though I suppose a New Year’s swim isn’t the worst outcome.

Virginia’s response to the situation might be shocking to Desmond & Andy but to me all I can think is what else do you say? Definitely a beyond stressful situation that deserves some strong language. Fires can be unpredictable so we can only hope it doesn’t reach their home despite it seemingly being inevitable. So, now that we had Dean fire his shot who’s next? This could become a competitive sport. 😂

Chapter 150 Smile and Think of England
NimirRaj commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 150 Smile and Think of England
Don told Stephanie and her family that Robbie wanted her to keep the baby? Why didn’t he just tell them he wanted to marry her and propose on his behalf as well? Poor Jo has her work cut out for her. Robbie has a rocky, steep road ahead of him. -
Wow, Ted Cruz I mean Prime Minister Morrison should be ashamed of himself. Glad to see that Virginia & Desmond are fine though if I were them I think I’d have already hit the road just incase. It looks like as @ReaderPauland @chris191070have said that there is a silver lining in Thomas ending up in the hospital as it seems like he’s going to get the mental help he needs. Interesting to see that it sounded like Thomas’ injury was from the needles and not the sounding rod as I could see him doing some major damage with that. Ouch.

Mission - Personal Attack
NimirRaj commented on Littlelovestories's story chapter in Mission - Personal Attack
Damn. I mean I’m not really surprised by any of this per se yet still that was a interesting conclusion to the story of G or what we know of it. Still find the whole situation very bizarre as it was all seemingly done just to get Zeke’s money. Sounds like a lot of work to steal some cash, though I presume all those drugged employees helped G in other ways beyond just tricking Zeke. -
What’s That on Your Face?
NimirRaj commented on Wombat Bill's story chapter in What’s That on Your Face?
I can see things from both Andy and Dean’s point of view yet to me they need to find a middle ground. Andy while he agrees that Thomas needs professional help is in my mind not helping by seemingly trying to ignore the reality of the situation but I also feel that Dean’s bluntness might not help the situation either. Andy’s plan to essentially wait until Thomas makes the decision to get help on his own may make some sense on paper yet considering he refuses to even subtly remind Thomas that Jared is dead how long will it take before Thomas is even remotely ready to consider that he needs help? As things stand he seems fairly oblivious to his needing help. I hope Virginia and Desmond are both ok as the location of the fire feels ominous. As far as the hints at the next chapter go I would presume the prime minister reference is related to all the wildfires going on as well as his possible inaction regarding them and the reference to Christmas being celebrated in various ways could mean many things really. It most likely refers to how Thomas plans to spend Christmas with Jared though I’m sure everyone in the group has their own traditions that would mean Christmas is a little different for all of them. The main thing that stands out is the line “another nasty accident” as the last serious accident we had cost Jared his life. The accident could be Thomas getting hurt due to his… workouts or while I wouldn’t call it an accident with the fire being in the same town as Virginia’s house maybe it will sadly end up on fire. Of course a less pg idea makes me wonder if it refers to the um mess Thomas made on Dean’s face as he clearly felt it was nasty… Can’t say such a “nasty accident” is likely to involve Dean again giving how uncomfortable he finds it to be around Thomas not to mention he’s extremely unlikely to put himself in the firing line again. 😂 -
The loss of lives and the wildfires were/are tragic though Virginia’s desire to help the families of those firefighters was very sweet adding a little light to such a dark atmosphere. I dunno if my response to Thomas referring to going home to see his dead lover as if he’s still alive would cause me to simply say he’s not done with his grieving. Admittedly Thomas acts fairly normal around others yet I’d think Jonathan’s recount of Thomas’ comment would set Andy on alert to some extent. Perhaps Thomas’ future interactions with Dean will set off some alarm bells for him that something isn’t quite right. Thomas clearly needs professional help especially as these…conversations may lead to him becoming more extreme over time to the point he could permanently injure himself if not outright risk his life in some way. edit: I forgot to mention that one wild theory I had previously was that Jared may have faked his death making me curious if there could be a connection between that and Thomas’ apparent breakdown. Is there a remote chance he actually saw Jared while out and about in Paris??? Highly unlikely but I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t expect an unforeseen rabbit hole. 🤷🏻♂️

A gun?! Damn the homophobia in this town just went up another notch as I’m guessing the sheriff has been told Matt ran away from…”salvation.” Hopefully I’m wrong and the sheriff has been told some wild bs that made him trigger happy like they were armed & dangerous as silly as that sounds. 🙄 Part of me can’t see this ending well for them anytime soon considering the boys don’t really have anyone on their side yet I’m somewhat hopeful Pete knows someone who could help based on his undisclosed plan. That’s really the only silver lining as maybe he has a relative who works for social services, is a child advocate, some sort of lawyer, etc. 🤷🏻♂️
-
The “lovely pastor” hiding a camera in the bathroom to spy on them doesn’t shock me but it does disgust me. I’m kinda happy about it in a weird way as before the parents had given him permission to “pray the gay way” 🙄 so in a way what he was going might sadly be considered legal but his hiding the camera isn’t something that can be easily brushed aside. I mean if nothing else one could easily argue it’s child pornography considering their ages.
-
I feel like my memories been wiped too as I can’t make sense of this. Some part of me isn’t that shocked at the idea Corey is not the good guy he claims to be but I also don’t trust G just because of this conversation. This place has been full of secrets and deception from the very beginning making it very hard to discern the possible truths. 🤦🏻♂️
-
As we’ve all noted it does make sense given all that’s going on that Zeke is suspicious about his own organization, but wiping Tyler’s memories along with kicking him out seems beyond extreme. I don’t blame Tyler for being angry as he is seeming the constant victim in all this and he should at least get the chance to deck G & Corey before getting tossed away.
-
Ugh, I don’t like where this is going. I get where Corey is coming from about Tyler not staying there but the biggest threat to him there if not the only threat is G so if Zeke was really telling G to hit the road I don’t see why Tyler should he sent away as Zeke seems to be hinting at. It’s even likely that they plan to wipe Tyler’s memories under the feeble excuse it’s for his own good and that’s making me preemptively angry. Tyler’s dreams are still troubling so Corey should mention the minuscule evidence they have that something strange could be going on but I don’t see that as nearly a good enough reason to wipe Tyler’s memories and/or send him away. Overall I feel Zeke is letting G off way too lightly especially since I doubt he really is kicking him to the curb and I honestly don’t like how Corey is essentially getting off with the “he was only following orders” crap. It’s been revealed that Zeke should really be considered the one in charge, which is a fact Corey should be aware of, and while Corey wasn’t completely heartless now that we know it’s been two weeks of them torturing Tyler I’m very upset he didn’t ever truly stand up to G in an effort to protect Tyler especially knowing Tyler was begging Corey to kill him. Very disappointing ending to a somewhat short feeling chapter and upon reflection it feels odd that Zeke shows up kinda meh as if nothing strange has happen with him, no obvious comments about being seriously injured or possibly having been captured, or anything really related to why his tracker stopped functioning which sadly led to this whole debacle. He mentions to Corey that he’ll explain later implying there’s indeed a story to tell but overall he just seems kinda blasé about his secret mission.
-
I get Matt’s anger and I get Charles’ obedience to a point given the situation yet they need to find a way to meet in the middle so to speak. Matt should try to control his anger and go along with the…dear pastor in the hopes he can alert someone to what’s going on. Hopefully if Matt acted obedient enough and/or submissive enough they’d foolishly allow him to attend school where he might be able to get help and in the past Charles was already allowed to attend school so he “may” have a chance to get help if he chose to confide in anyone about what’s going on. As Charles said Matt being rebellious is only going to make things worse and not get him anywhere, though I’m not certain I could control my anger given the situation either. This is a rare moment where I’m almost keen to suggest violence as a means to escape but hopefully that won’t be necessary.
-
Ugh this level of homophobia is unreal. Yes, there’s a good chance Matt is at least bi but his parents have no reason to think he’s gay except for the fact he acted like a Christian, unlike them, and stood up for someone being bullied who happened to be gay. It’s not surprising the rest of their family wants nothing to do with them. I mean who tells their parents they’re doomed to hell for having them? On a very silver lining it sounds as if Matt likely has some extended family he could rely on and possibly get help from if he knew how to contact them. Like @weinerdog I can’t imagine the pastor letting them attend school now as Matt in particular might alert someone to what’s going on and while it’s technically legal I’m sure social services would be very concerned.

Two Truths and a Liar
NimirRaj commented on Littlelovestories's story chapter in Two Truths and a Liar
I still am fairly confused as common sense points to these dreams of Tyler’s in actuality being memories yet why then was his memories wiped not to mention Zeke not remembering him? If he’s their enemy his keeping his memories sounds more useful but admittedly him not consciously remembering likely would make it easier for him to go undercover. Zeke not remembering is the real anomaly as if the enemy got close enough to wipe his memories you’d think he’d be dead instead. Then there’s the question of what is Corey not saying. I mean analyzing Tyler’s unusual dreams makes sense yet I don’t where using the memory serum on him comes into play. Seems like Corey knows a lot more about why G is so certain Tyler is the enemy and I would suspect it’s linked to the “dreams” as Corey himself doesn’t seem to really trust Tyler anymore. Considering all that G has done recently and the plans for the future Zeke talked about I wouldn’t be surprised if he removed his own tracker yet that while somewhat plausible seems unlikely based on the current known facts which are minuscule. 🤷🏻♂️ Still, my distrust for G is massive so I wouldn’t be surprised if G is worried about what Zeke might be up to if the remote chance he removed his own tracker were true and he were now desperate to track this…rebel down. In the end we still know very little about their enemies so it’s hard to even theorize as to what’s going on. -
Glad to see our…”old friend” didn’t return but wow things snowballed pretty quickly. Interesting ending following Brian’s horrifying ordeal. I suppose the most important change for the guys is finding each other which thankfully won’t change yet in essence everything they did outside of their personal relationships was apparently for nothing. It’s just kinda sad that it all turned out to he useless as whatever they did eventually turned pear shaped. 🤦🏻♂️ I suppose the do nothing approach is for the best given how badly things tend to eventually go or how like with 9/11 nobody listened. Uh oh thinking back didn’t Brian return at the very least under the pretense of stopping a nuclear bomb that was from a timeline with no time travel interference? If they do nothing that’ll still happen and quote “working from the bottom” as Brian suggests may not be impactful enough to stop such an event. Yeah….the short term looks ok but the long term future isn’t looking too bright. Maybe the guys can hop a rocket to Mars before the Big Bang? On a different note and last comments, are the Australians mental? Based on what Davey said they helped them build the time machine and willingly allowed them to use it yet insisted history not be altered ever again… If you’re that insistent on essentially preventing time travel why let a group of crazy American guys time travel at all? Seems more realistic that they’d have thrown them in a dark cell somewhere. 🤷🏻♂️ Edit: Like @Butcher56 I was reminded of Trevor during Brian’s interrogation yet I think it was just fake Russian propaganda that had them insisting he falsely confess to being the son of dissidents. I’m not even sure they remotely knew he worked for the CIA either as regardless it’s a good soundbite to rile up Russian citizens. They likely just wanted an American on camera who they could use as a political tool.

🤔 The KGB could be showing up for various reasons ranging from simply not liking their ideas to being after Davey & Brian for being spies, yet if Brian is right why would they be there specifically for him? Giving all that’s been going on Davey is the more likely target considering he tends to take the lead on things making him likely stand out more plus he was pretending to be Mika’s son regardless of his seemingly having the support of the Russian government in that deception. Is this just paranoia on his part or could this mean Shevardnadze did come back? He’s the only one who in the previous timeline anyway knew Brian was a time traveler outside of their group and that’s the only reason I can think of that Brian would specifically be targeted. 🤷🏻♂️
-
Looks like this “job” wrecked them both emotionally to some extent especially Davey. On one hand Davey’s ‘father’ was a nice enough man so I get why Brian & Davey came to like him but it’s sad he found himself bonding more with a man he was sent to fake a relationship with then he ever did with his actual family. There’s no way they just got lucky with the way the Russians lied about the test results themselves as the CIA had to have arranged it someway as that’s too much of a coincidence. The plan to now try to work within Russia rather than from the outside sounds somewhat promising as long as they don’t get caught up in unforeseen drama to put it mildly. The line about Shevardnadze and the scientist’s frequency not affecting the frequency Sean used is not that coherent to me, though admittedly I’m not a scientist, and I don’t fully get why the machine didn’t send his consciousness back. I mean the way it’s worded it doesn’t seem to mean Sean modified the jammer rather it just sounds like they got lucky that it blocked him this time yet if he bypassed it once I don’t get why his memories weren’t transferred this time with the way the bubble protects them by sorta putting the traveler outside of normal time insuring they get sent back regardless of timeline changes like say killing the scientist. 🤷🏻♂️ Interesting to see the gang back together but the guys are kinda like “Um, why’d you bother us right now?”. 😂 I can see things from their point of view as being there for the coup isn’t like going to the Super Bowl and it also may not be safe so…yeah I’d prefer seeing it on tv. 😂
-
True, but neither has actually mentioned Shevardnadze once in regards to being in Russia so in a sense that’s the real reason we as readers see them as being there yet from their POV it seems to be completely unrelated. It would be fairly unsurprising if it turned out Verakov knows Shevardnadze and/or if they just managed to run into him while in Russia bringing him back onto their radar. 🤷🏻♂️ I agree with pretty much everyone that on the surface Verakov seems like a very minor figure that would be of 0 interest to the CIA but we have to remember the reason they recruited Davey outside of his visual appearance is that he follows orders without asking questions so they probably aren’t bothering to tell Brian & Davey a lot of things. I guess we’ll find out more eventually after of course the CIA fakes those second test results as otherwise Verakov will learn pretty quickly that Davey is not his son. I’m curious what sort of story might be concocted to cover why Brian & Davey are going to be staying in Russia not to mention why Davey likely won’t be returning to the U.S. anytime soon while Brian will as per planned return occasionally as Davey’s family especially might find this strange. Of course it could be a good time for Davey to come out to his family if for no other reason than his being distant from them would make some sense given how we know they will react. Poor Brian is not loving the spy life and I don’t blame him. Let’s hope it doesn’t put too much of a strain on their relationship.

Thurs, Fri: Kayden and Trent
NimirRaj commented on mastershakeme's story chapter in Thurs, Fri: Kayden and Trent
Damn Jacob & Maggie to hell. It was obvious something more was going on than Maggie just hitting Trent’s vehicle yet I never suspected it was a plan to help Jacob rape Kayden. I realize Trent was understandably beyond pissed as well as Kayden just wanting to forget it yet they should have reported it to the police. Even “if” they were to decide later to do so the DNA evidence has now been erased with it just being Kayden’s word against Jacob’s. Overall both got off lightly as Maggie didn’t really suffer at all and Jacob’s injuries once healed will be the only reminder of what he did. Seems pretty terrible that neither look like they’ll suffer in the long run and you would presume putting together a plan to help someone rape someone would likely involve some sort of criminal charges that would be more severe than have a sorority house’s lawn ruined. 😔 I get both of them wanting to just move on yet Trent needs to realize that’s not really possible and he needs to take things slow. It will probably be a while before Kayden is up for sex. Mark/dad of the year may actually believe on some level that his dad is too fragile for the truth but it’s more likely 100% bs. Kayden is going to be miserable at that family dinner and it’s not going to go as smoothly as his dad hopes. A lot of drama will definitely be going down that day. -
🤔 I don’t for a second think Tyler has been having these dreams because of pneumonia and the end of the chapter makes it clear something more is going on. If there’s a remote chance these are in actuality memories then there’s a lot of questions to be asked. I mean wouldn’t this mean Zeke and Tyler have both had their minds wiped at some point? I don’t know why such a method would be used rather than killing them yet if such an action was taken it leads one to an interesting theory. G is seemingly so incompetent and his actions are so insane at times that a crazy thought train has me wondering if he’s working for the enemy if not the enemy himself and in the past he wiped their memories as well as somehow implanted false ones to lead them to their current situation where they essentially fail to achieve anything. I feel like Alice wandering down the rabbit hole as this theory is insane but it’s easy to see G in a highly suspicious light where in this theory feels remotely plausible. The end of the chapter though admittedly paints G as being suspicious of Tyler and perhaps the EEG showed some evidence of him being under the influence of some sort of mind altering drugs which is possibly why G is interrogating him. If true this would imply G isn’t behind whatever’s going on with Tyler, though I suppose it could be an elaborate act to convince everyone in the agency that what he’s planning to do to Tyler is justified. 🤷🏻♂️

I can’t help but translate Davey’s desire for adventure into recklessness. The Davey we’d come to know was tempered by experience but this Davey lacks those experiences. While Brian will be with him he is essentially going to be a messenger and will likely be limited in how he can help Davey overall. I definitely dislike that the CIA pretty much recruited Davey because he’s willing to blindly follow orders including plastic surgery. 🤦🏻♂️ I know that may be a requirement to work for them but it makes him looks like he doesn’t bother to think things through. Kinda shocked the CIA took that long to confirm Davey & Brian were a couple when it’s implied at the very least pretty much everyone at the boarding school knew. Must be asleep on the job. 😂 While this mission may give them more access to Shevardnadze they aren’t soldiers nor assassins so it would better if they could plant evidence that would have the CIA target him. I know Davey really wants to do this but has he realized he’s essentially been fired before he started? I mean yes they have this mission in Russia but afterwards it sounds like the CIA will have nothing to do with them anymore so it’d then be time for another career…assuming they survive as nothing is guaranteed. 😔

The death of Uncle Rich is beyond sad yet we knew in this timeline it was inevitable. Nice to hear Brian & Davey’s parents are working together as it solves a lot of problems. The guys seem to be forging ahead with their plans fairly well though admittedly the military boarding school made me a little nervous considering they aren’t known for being very accepting of gay students to put it lightly. Glad to see Lindstrom remind the guys to be a tad more discrete. I am a little concerned about their end game regarding time travel threats considering comments like “Of course, we won’t be able to get near Shevardnadze.” as when they took over the time machine in order to come back they never once indicated they managed to in any way block him from coming back yet now pretty much say they can’t stop him. As far as I know with the way this sort of time travel works stopping the scientist won’t prevent the previous timeline Shevardnadze from coming back. If they don’t believe they can stop him before he comes back they have to know he’s going to be even more difficult to stop after as at the very least he knows about Brian being a time traveler meaning he will likely have his guard up against threats. Perhaps this implies they did stop him from coming back as they don’t seem concerned about it. 🤷🏻♂️ As for the scientist sometimes simple is best as Sean’s plan while not that complicated seems like a good one especially as it does look like it won’t be seen as an accident. Still, any plan can have unforeseen hiccups so I could see it going pear shaped and maybe Sean being forced to take more direct & drastic measures if he’s caught. I can understand the guys wanting to go their separate ways in regards to college as they have been constantly together for a long time. If anything this might help their overall plan more considering all the different things they each want to study.
-
I have a feeling that they’ll succeed this time but realistically I’m not sure how. I mean based on their own comments it sounds like they still have Shevardnadze to contend with along with the scientist. Shevardnadze especially is going to be a pain because they don’t have the governments help this time nor any plans to reveal their existence to them so trying to target someone like him even prior to his being sent back is not going to be easy. Regardless of the logistics they do have years to prepare which gives them an advantage. Sweet to see the guys are together but the intense hormones are worrisome when you think of them potentially impairing their judgment combined with families like Sean’s & Devey’s. Hopefully their more mature memories will help them be as discreet as they hope to be.
-
🤣 It sounded so crazy that this millennial thought it was like a bad dream and then you get to the end only to discover it was. 😂 Sadly I could see some politicians stupidly putting up a painting of a freeway in place of an actual freeway. 🤦🏻♂️
