  1. Part one is Kyan's life with Dayna (kids, death, grief, etc) Part two symbolizes a new chapter of his life and the evolving relationship with Perry, hence the addition of Perry's POV. It's not divided into parts for some big cliffy/climax. It's a symbolism for change.
  2. Is that why we're here?
  3. Not by choice!
  4. Slowly but surely. Slower now, because I will only be posting on Thursday... The last two chapters I had written ended up being complete re-writes. I need to finish dialing them in and then I'm writing from scratch until the story is finished (while working FT and two kids with activities. Girl needs a few days to get caught up.) Oh, and I'm trying (and failing at the moment) to pull together my Anthology that is due in 12 days.
  5. No hate. I know it feels like a slow burn, and to some degree it is, but at the same time, is it? Kyan built a family, lost his wife, grieved his wife, found life without his wife, realized his attraction to Perry and is now dealing with that. Him and Perry only hooked up at the end of November...it is now the beginning of January. That is not a lot of time to come to terms with all this situation encompasses. Sure, in fairy tail land, maybe. Life doesn't always happen accelerated.
  6. Welcome to the waiting club. It is terrible. And the worst part? Might go to once a week posting until the end of the story now that my pre-written chapters are running out.
  7. It's easy to forget how young they are. Good or bad, Dayna was so young. 18y girls (and boys) are not known for making the best decisions/choices. They are not fully developed. And you're 100% correct. Kyan does have the chance to mature. Dayna will never grow older than 22.
  8. Love your take on Dayna. Only comment to really throw her a bone (this and your previous comment)
  9. In this case, Dayna is dead. Perry, Trudy, Jed, and Jessica have all communicated what they know. Short of Dayna truly coming back and haunting them, I don't know how we could ever truly know. With that said, I don't mind leaving certain things for readers to contemplate.
  10. Definite possibility. Being gay might've been normalized in her world.Since her brother was gay, and she saw other guy men (whom he dated) it's not unreasonable for her to think Kyan might be inclined. Speculation.
  11. So much we can never know because Dayna is not here to tell us. All we have is speculation, and every person has their own views and opinions on her.
  12. Lots of emotions to process, apparently lol
  13. Eh. We’ll see.
  14. THANK YOU. I got (get) a lot of flack for Jason, but this is exactly why he was Perry’s best man. I felt there needed a line between him and his family. Jason symbolized independence, not just between him and his family, but Nash too.
  15. I think he’s ready. This is a big deal. If there is an “out” for Kyan, this is it. If he chooses to stay, then he will need to be all in with Perry. Dayna can no longer dictate his love life. Truly moving forward and away from grief is hard. Even when we think we are ready…we may not be.
  16. At least one of us does! 😉
  17. Great points. In reality, they just got back from vacation where he and his in laws had the conversation about kids. It’s not unreasonable that it will probably need to sink in for a minute before he begins to take advantage of their generosity. It’s not an easy cycle to break.
  18. Hope they went easy on you. Hubs is scheduling his colonoscopy on Monday. Tis that time in life. Family has history of colon cancer 👎🏻👎🏻
  19. Do not need to hear about your sex life.
  20. I love reader's interpretation, even if they're different from my own. Each brings their own perspectives and experiences to the table. It's the different POV's that help me fine tune future conversations and give me better insight.
  21. There is also the foundation he's building for his life without Dayna. He had to have a peace that she would be okay with him not just moving on, but moving on with her brother. And now he finds out that she was not okay with it. All that happiness that he had with Perry is now in question. That is earth shattering.
  22. 100% This is great insight.
  23. Ding. Ding.
  24. You're not wrong.
