    I agree. I think it was easy for him to miss because he was so busy with tiny babies. Once he had his head abovr water and was able to truly give back to Perry’s friendship, he would have seen what was happening. But then again, Dayna might’ve been good at hiding it. She did make Kyan feel like he wanted them to be friends while also keeping a distance.

    Part one is Kyan's life with Dayna (kids, death, grief, etc) Part two symbolizes a new chapter of his life and the evolving relationship with Perry, hence the addition of Perry's POV. It's not divided into parts for some big cliffy/climax. It's a symbolism for change.

    Slowly but surely. Slower now, because I will only be posting on Thursday... The last two chapters I had written ended up being complete re-writes. I need to finish dialing them in and then I'm writing from scratch until the story is finished (while working FT and two kids with activities. Girl needs a few days to get caught up.) Oh, and I'm trying (and failing at the moment) to pull together my Anthology that is due in 12 days.

    No hate. I know it feels like a slow burn, and to some degree it is, but at the same time, is it? Kyan built a family, lost his wife, grieved his wife, found life without his wife, realized his attraction to Perry and is now dealing with that. Him and Perry only hooked up at the end of November...it is now the beginning of January. That is not a lot of time to come to terms with all this situation encompasses. Sure, in fairy tail land, maybe. Life doesn't always happen accelerated.

    Welcome to the waiting club. It is terrible. And the worst part? Might go to once a week posting until the end of the story now that my pre-written chapters are running out.

    It's easy to forget how young they are. Good or bad, Dayna was so young. 18y girls (and boys) are not known for making the best decisions/choices. They are not fully developed. And you're 100% correct. Kyan does have the chance to mature. Dayna will never grow older than 22.
