  1. Good Friday, April 20th Diego Silva "One, two, three!" Pearl excitedly counted down, and the arm wrestle was on! Lance strained and panted and cried out in exertion as he tried to slam Diego's arm to the table, but Diego, a smug grin on his face, only needed to match the boy's power. It wasn't very hard. Diego teased Lance by yawning and resting his head on the palm of his spare hand as his right arm, bicep bulging, didn't move an inch. "Bloody... bastard!" Lance's whole body was
  2. Haha well she's managed to buy some time and temporarily scare off the C U Next Tuesday queen - that's the important thing! The groundwork has been laid as such! I'm glad you appreciate our dynamic doctor! Nah no recording in the interview room - it would be very illegal without consent from all parties, I think. Yeah, the major difference between the boys is that Vladimir's been hospitalised for quite a while so he's super keen to do what it takes to get out and additionally, he's been treated multiple times for most of his life. On the other hand, Tyson's entire world has been thrown completely upside-down in the span of eight days or so - it would be unfair to expect him to know how to handle things at this early stage. Good question, though! Cynthia done won the battle, but Edith's not so tunnel-visioned that she doesn't know when to retreat! Vladimir has a clear goal and the path is there for him - with Tyson, though, we don't have actual light at the end of the tunnel yet. Cynthia knows that this situation is an unsuitable endgame. Cynthia's a bit of a maverick in her profession - which is a little sad in its own way. Rather than restricting Tyson to the HDU (as she realistically should have on his admission) and keeping the boys apart (as she should since it's technically inappropriate even if it's innocent and harmless) she elects to bend those rules - whereas Dr Shrubb's method of using seclusion, sedation and restraints to control Vladimir is more readily accepted as an intervention. Let's hope it doesn't blow up in her face. Haha yes! That was cheap symbolism on my part. Hmmm I don't have a solid answer to this - she does make a deal initially to treat Vladimir (The Promise) when she realises it was a viable avenue to getting through to Tyson (as there seemed to be no others) and he promises (albeit going back on his word) not to try and hurt himself (she'd be in trouble if he needed to be in the secure wing and he succeeded in hurting himself.) So while she's aware that Tyson's infatuation and desire to explore those feelings is a huge anchor to keeping him from self-harm, she likely underestimates the connection. Yes! It's not just about putting a bandaid over an infected wound. There was no record of Tyson ever initiating such a thing - he skipped all avenues of help and went right for the suicide attempts. But you're right - it wouldn't have worked. Perhaps he knew that in advance! Okay you're getting too far ahead now. Settle down, pal. Thank you everybody for the comments! ❤️ It makes writing go from a hobby to an absolute pleasure. I hope I don't disappoint!
  3. The first thing Dr Cynthia Elicott saw when she bypassed the airlock style system of locked security doors into the adolescent wing of the psychiatric ward made her smile. Since they arrived in the same place on the same day, Tyson from the Emergency Department and Vladimir from the high-dependency unit, the two had been nearly inseparable. Both looked a bit drowsy from their medications - she had recently changed Vladimir's antipsychotics to a different branch in hopes of getting his aggressive

Oh my gosh city living has made Charlie so bold! You absolutely lost me though when you revealed that Tom and co raise demon birds for a living. This story is doomed. 😒 Nah jokes ❤️ loved it!! All of it! They are different enough to be super interesting together and I'm super keen for the date! Great chapter! You should do it again some time!
  5. Oof this chapter has certainly evoked a lot of thoughts and emotions! I'm really happy about that - I'm just also a little sad it's mostly hatred & fury! 😜 Tyson's sense of identity has been largely sculpted by his parents, especially his mother's omnipresence and egocentric ambition. Getting some time away away from their influence and spending time with mental health professionals is giving him opportunity to think for himself! Having people genuinely looking out for him (Cynthia, Neil, Brianna, Vladimir & Masha) is something he hasn't had before, and you're right, it's something he responds well to - now that he's beginning to build trust. Yes! (... yeah, it is pretty atypical) 160% accurate, as usual, Mr Travlbug ❤️ This is all pretty key and summed up far better than I would have been able to! Haha The longer her son is in an inpatient facility, the worse it reflects on her and the campaign of her husband. It's not about saving him - on both visits, I'm pretty sure she talks about him as though he's a broken down car and wonders why he isn't "fixed" yet. Vladimir heavily implies he suffered maltreatment and had no way to defend himself - part of the reason Masha is so grateful that Tyson found a way to secure a better treatment plan for him. This is also a key point later on - since the beginning, no matter how much Tyson complained about the state of his family and the futility of his treatment plan to the staff, it has always remained the decided course of action for him. He clearly baits his mother into lashing out at Dale, who did not seem to believe the situation until he saw it with his own eyes (he's pretty alarmed!) Now that he's finally decided to stop resisting psychiatric treatment, he's taking steps to change his fate. At this stage I haven't been totally clear about it. Vlady certainly remembers doing some horrible things - "letting" his friend die because he was too scared to fight the three-headed demon who was drowning him. He's also in the market for a new school and glumly wonders (some time ago) if it'll be a place for dangerous or disturbed kids. Thank you very much for the thoughts and the comments and the summaries! ❤️ I appreciate it so much! Hahaha! She's the alpha of the C U Next Tuesdays! That's actually quite gorgeous! Thank you! ❤️ Tragically accurate, too.
  6. I see what you did there 🤐
  7. Irony, amirite? Tyson made sure that his social worker could see for himself where the problem was. I'm not spoiling anything! But y'know, karma's anything but forgiving. ❤️
  8. Hahahaha! I like the emotive reaction to Cruella! Thanks! ❤️ Haha good question! We should find out not too far away from now! Maybe in two weeks? Thank you megafriend! ❤️ Keep in mind that Tyson did intentionally provoke her into a fury in front of the social worker. 🤔
  9. Ohey! I like to put a banner in my story notes, but it's not working for me at the minute. The attachment works on a post in my profile but on the story, nothing shows up. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

    Cruella de Vil

Tyson watched Vladimir with curiosity. What is he hearing? What do they say to him? Is it like someone talks over his shoulder? Or is it like thoughts in his head? Is it like someone left the TV on or the background noise on the train? What? It didn't really matter in the end, because he just would not - or could not, Tyson noted to himself - ignore them. Cynthia told him a while ago that Vladimir's brain gets confused. The older Russian-Australian's scrambled mind didn't think to remind him the

    Night Out

Goodness that was an eventful chapter! Thoroughly enjoyable! So Charlie's used to the fast lane in the city and got mad at the slow cashier - he showed restraint, I thought! A member of the Glitterati might have used at least three different swear words to get his feelings across when she smugly reminded him that they were the only shop around. 😤 Charlie's a decent cook! That's already arousing in its own way! And red wine. Ahh. ❤️ I enjoyed Travis! And their brief sex scene was... intense! Charlie's infatuation with Tom feels organic and relatable. I'm super keen to read more! ❤️ Thank you for the chapter! Good stuff!

    New World

Charlie's already so lovable! And Tom... oof. I shall remain objective in spite of my strong hatred of country living! ❤️ It's a strong start! But you knew that. You're good at those!

OOOOH you two stop that!! you'll tempt me to write a horrible ending out of spite!

    The Decision

Heeey! I'm glad you noticed! We regressed somewhat in Tyson's ever-shifting perspective of his situation just for this purpose! Yep! It's similar to a student instinctively picking up money from the ground! Baby steps! This is a pretty big deal for Neil too - he's discussed in the past that his rigid adherence for rules and structure comes from his severe obsessive-compulsive disorder, yet he's willing to bend them for Tyson's benefit. Especially after he implies that he was stuck in the system until he lost himself, it's a special moment when he breaks the limitations of his problem the same time Tyson decides to do so as well. I ain't sayin' spit! But it's a good theory! 😜 Thank you very much for such a detailed comment! ❤️

    The Decision

Indeed! A slight change in perspective makes all the difference! Thank you for the comment! ❤️

TYVM friend! Tyson's angry refusal to cooperate with the system starts to draw to a close as we move on to the next challenges! Thank you! More you shall have! =]

Yep! Unofficially, phase one of the story has just come to a close!

The shower in the AIU was a somewhat pathetic effort. The tiny showerhead jutted out from the wall and gave a weak spray of warm water, never hot. Tyson almost had to put his back to the cold tiles if he wanted to get himself fully in the stream. Another reason he wanted to go home - his shower had several jets and it was hot enough to nearly poach him in his skin. He fantasised a little bit about what Vladimir might look like in the shower. That gorgeous alabaster skin turning pink, water trick

Haha Chip's not nearly as fem as Veikko! But he is as sassy in a much more polite way indeed! Thank you! ❤️ Yeah, unfortunate! And gosh, Grindr! XD I haven't used it in a very long time! You're a sloth now! It's cute He's been getting the better of Seth since they started! Thanks for reading!

Knock on my door at midnight? Who gives a note like that to a complete stranger? Ignoring his insane hypocrisy, Seth opened up his Grindr app to see who, aside from prissy Glenn, might be available to warm his bed from time to time while at sea. Despite what those young bucks seemed to think, maturing into his forties did little to slow Seth's sex drive. He liked to touch another man. He wanted to be the aggressor. Control was important to him - in Poker, in his day to day life, and definitely w

While the first cards of the tournament would be dealt two days from now, the game had already begun. Seth had already spotted several of the elite players in the industry upon the cruise ship, which meant they intended to play and win, just like him. Fleur de Blanc, a French woman with an icy demeanour, was here with her husband, Gérard. She very often made it to the final table in any tournament she played in. Nash and Lydia Ryder, a brother and sister tandem who never seemed to spend a moment
  24. You're totally on the ball there! Tyson's not very good at making decisions. & yes, the social worker should be more vigilant - but bear in mind the chapter ends almost immediately after he's smuggled it out. Next chapter will take place immediately after. Oh, it's the same quote! Vlad just repeated it out of spite. Thank you for the comment! ❤️
