  1. I am terribly muddled when it comes to writing dialog anyway, but especially different accents in English. Even when I have tried to write 'Cracker' (Southern US, I have just as much problem with that and if there is any regional US dialect I should be able to put into print, it would be that. After all, I lived much of my life in Florida and Alabama.) Some of the stories on GA are written by Australian authors. To be able to understand those, I have had to put a dictionary of Aussie slang in my 'favorites' area. I might be able to understand the dropped 'h' of cockney, but only if the author put in an apostrophe each time he did it. I am pleased to see the Nathan meetings moving along so well. I like that youngster and feel that Robbie needs a nice gay Canadian boy in his life — certainly not Max. That guy could qualify as the asshole of the year. Will
  2. Ah-ha, drama indeed. I feel a little bit sorry for Robbie, but keep hoping he will pull his head out of a very dark place and admit, at least to himself, that he is much more comfortable with boys than with girls. I can only wonder at what Nathan is taking from this meeting. Though Robbie's experiences with Alex are totally unfortunate. Dodger, you are a total master as an author, I envy your skill, but how can I envy and enjoy so much at the same time? Will

    Chapter 31 Guilt

Poor Miss Pimple - er Pringle, she cannot smile at the kid's banter and misses so much
  4. Well finally. We have Robbie and Nathan getting together. Oh, of course, there will be many chapters of trauma between them and between the two of them and the rest of the mob, but we have taken the first small step. Congratulations on your writing style. I am enthralled with the progress of the story. Will
  5. I am quietly lurking in the background waiting for Robbie and Nathan to get it on together. I think that could be a lifetime relationship, but it is apparent that Robbie has got to get some of his teen-aged angst out of his system first. Will
  6. Whispering a boy's name as you wake up is not conducive to good relations with your girlfriend. Robbie had better get it on with Nathan in a hurry or he is going to get a very valuable portion of his anatomy cut off (by one member of the family or another). He seems to be performing in a very competent way so far though. Great creativity here for a gay writer. Are you sure. . . Will
  7. Okay, he made it -- I am relieved. I will admit to having performance anxiety for Robbie, but everything worked out! While the 'age of consent' in Canada is sixteen as you say, there is a 'close in age exception' which would make consensual sex between under sixteens legal if the parties are near the same age (within two years, I believe ) and there is no participant who is in a position of dominance like a teacher or employer. As always, excellent writing. Love the story, but still looking forward to 'sex with Nathan'. I believe those two could have a lifelong continuing relationship. Will
  8. Okay. I was wrong, wrong, wrong. I am not as smart as I thought I was. But I have seldom gotten so much enjoyment out of being wrong. You do a superb job of maintaining the suspense. I note that I have made two comments on this chapter. The earlier one from mister will is mine as well. I still don't want to be called 'snarky'. To prevent this I have tried to be more gentle in my snarking. But no matter how snarky I may be, I am still reading and rereading this series--and loving it. Keep on fooling me. By the way, Robbie's ideas of male anatomy are somewhat off the mark -- the male penis does not contain measurable amounts of muscle except at its base where a ring of muscle contracts to trap blood; being a boy, he should realize his 'equipment' is mainly composed of three spongy tubes that get hard from retained blood. Don't they teach anything about anatomy to fifteen-year-olds in either Canadian or British schools? Will
  9. I still say Alex is not the one. But certainly, we have an unusual meeting. Nothing has been said or done to change my stubborn mind. "If music be the food of love, play on." Will
  10. If I am wrong, I will admit it, but I am a leeetle bit suspicious. Alex is almost too easy a guess. Well, we'll see I guess. Will
  11. It's not Rory, Robbie, it's Nathan (my opinion, for what it's worth). Rory is just too obvious! That is one thing as an author you are not and that is obvious. That, by the way, is strong praise for an author. It certainly keeps the reader's interest up. Good writing should not be untruthful, but the more devious, even misleading, the better. Will
  12. The lack of interest in the G-spot by Robbie is an interesting twist. That means he does not know that men have a G-spot also. When he learns about that I hope he learns as a 'bottom'! Men having a G-spot is what makes being a bottom so great. Hey, let the other guy do all the work, I'll just lie there and have screaming, toe-curling orgasms!!! Will
  13. Your gay boy... NO, NO, NO. "You're gay boy. I know that this was not your error, but I couldn't resist
  14. The full name for European style football is 'Association Football'. I agree that using the name 'football' for the American style game is a fallacy though. I am living with a Portuguese man and I have had to become used to calling it 'gridiron', however using the term 'soccer' should not bother my European friends as it is a legitimate contraction for 'Association', but that is an argument I could never win, so I will just go with the flow, using 'football' for the European game and 'gridiron' for the American game. You asked me at one time why I had directed your attention to only one error in a chapter. Well, I have found another -- it might improve your readability to study up on the use of commas. A few (very few) more in your writing might help. Google 'comma usage in writing' for guidance. Will H.
  15. I am trying to remember my reactions when I was Robbie's age. I attended a military high school for three years and saw lots of naked boys daily. Later in life, I determined that I swung both ways, so maybe that was my problem, but I don't remember having the sudden overwhelming reactions that seem to affect Robbie. This is not meant to be a criticism of your writing -- I am fascinated by the story. Will H.
  16. Oh, sure, Robbie, every Italian is in the mafia (interesting factoid; the mafia, now known more familiarly as the 'Cosa Nostra', is headquartered in Sicily and divides the illegal operations it pursues over many different 'families'. Each of these families has the responsibility for a different territory or different type of criminal activity so that the 'mafia wars' of earlier generations have, to a great extent, quieted down.) The illegal activities of the Cosa Nostra are not confined to Sicily but range widely over southern Italy and other parts of the world. However, not every Italian family is a member of the mafia. To assume that an Italian family, no matter how wealthy is in the Cosa Nostra is stereotyping the same way as assuming every cute young man is gay (though it would certainly be desirable!) "girls were just like boys really but without the interesting bits." wonderful line!
  17. Well, in my position as the happy troll, I try to be a little bit easy going or generous with authors. I am famous for sitting under my bridge with authors walking barefoot over my head and me nipping at their toes. However, I am a firm believer in the point that the author's job is to be creative and it is the editor's job to make sure that that creativity is not drowned in a sea of errors. It is perfectly possible for a reader, even one who is an old troll like me, to enjoy a story, skipping over some of the errors. If too many of them are corrected, the dialog sounds dull and stilted do I will hold back somewhat on my comments. I am loving the story and look forward to reading each new chapter without the long wait between publications that readers who follow a story closely are subjected to. (See! even I make errors in writing from time to time, though ending a sentence with a preposition is not considered the crime it once was.) The only thing I am finding problems with is the 'slang' words. Are these British or Canadian? Will H.
  18. I see several things in this chapter. Tom and Robbie both moving on -- there is no real possibility of that relationship building any further, there is just too much distance for a teenager to overcome, and relationships in Canada will be developing I am sure. I think that Robbie is holding up very well -- he lost his mother, his homeland and his best friend, all in the space of a few weeks. You are doing an excellent job of portraying the changing relationships, keep up the good work!!!! Will H.

    Chapter 2

Unfortunately, there are strong indicators of prejudice in the reactions of Cas's family. I can only hope that this will not result in more trouble for our guys, but, if there were no tension, there would be no story, right? Just for your information, foxes are canines and the lying on the back with the tummy exposed is a very strong indication of subservience among predators. The scratching of the tummy will often produce small yips and growls or other small sounds in canines. These are canine approximations of giggles. However, the foot waving in the air is a knee-jerk type of reaction meaning 'Move your hand away. Stop tickling me. It is too much.' and is therefore slightly negative. Will H.

    Chapter 1

As an old man, I can imagine the pleasure it must be for Adrian to have all his lifetime of injuries, even those he didn't remember getting cured without surgery. May I borrow Cas for a few minutes? God, that little fox is so cute, I want to take him home with me, Intriguing start for a new story, I will be sure to follow this tale closely. Will H.

    Chapter VI

My God! 73 times unprotected sex. It is a wonder that he is still alive. I, too have had unprotected sex in my life, but took better precautions after the 80's and have been fortunate never to have had an STD, thank you, Lord.

    Chapter I

'He left the reigns in the hands of the one last on my list.': Troll alert -- reins, those things used to direct a horse, do not contain a g. As far as the story is concerned -- how could I NOT be interested as an eighty-five-year-old man myself! Wil H.

    Prologue

Of course, I am going to stick with this story -- I am an eighty-five-year-old man myself- so there is an immediate rapport. Let-s just see what you have done with it!!

    Reunion

Well, it was peaceful until Brownun decided o do her thing. Of course, she is doing all the work right now, but puppies grow and grow and grow. They are cute now but what is going to happen when they all reach the 'chewing' stage at the same time. I think the days of my quiet retirement are coming to an end!!!
