The Moma's and The Papa's, and The Beach Boys are from an era before my time, but as my Dad liked to listen to it my siblings and I grew up listening to it and got to like it too. There is a lot of good music from that era.
This is one of those stories that deserves more than the five star rating that is allowed. It's a tough read, but it's also a very good, no excellent read. It is extremely well written and in a sympathetic way deals with the hatred and discrimination that still exists today. It is done against a backdrop of love between two young men whose love crosses the divides of a lot of society. This is a story that, to me, is a must read, one that should be read by more than the readership of GA. @Ronyx has created a masterpiece for us to read, so I suggest you all get to reading it.
Bath is a beautiful city that is full of character and surrounded by beautiful countryside, I'll bet that is just one of many photo's that he has taken.
I've just had a look at his profile page and he hasn't been on since Wednesday morning so I hope everything is okay. I left a message for him to let him know that he is missed and we all hope he and his Mum are okay.
There is nothing that I, or anyone, can add to the amazing reviews of this amazingly intense, funny, sad, upbeat, downbeat, intriguing and brilliantly written story and yes all of those words are a fitting description. Except that is to say, read it, enjoy it wish there was more of it. This is definitely a recommended read.
Simply beautiful, words from the heart that mean a lot to you and express so much love. For me they also bring back memories of seeing my father with Benson, his beautiful 3/4 thoroughbred chestnut gelding. Thank you for sharing Gary ❤️
Yes I do remember it, it was a major news feature for a while, even after the repairs were completed. The dam really needs to highly strengthened or better still rebuilt. The local residents were terrified.
Thank you @lawfulneutralmage for the comments they would have meant a lot to cognac69. It may seem strange to you that I'm leaving this reply but I am replying on behalf of my late father. Unfortunately he never got the chance to continue with this, or other stories, before he passed away. In some ways I have 'taken up the mantle' so to speak with regard to his voluntary work and similar storylines. I may revisit some of his stories and try to continue where he left off, but that is still to be decided. C.P.T.F is different to any of my own stories, but anything is possible. Thank you for the respect you have shown for his work.
Some of the locations shown feature in some of my stories, I didn't know these were on YouTube. They could be a useful reference to me in the future, so thank you.
