  1. A lot of coincidences, but also a lot of questions. Why did his sister leave South Carolina? could it be they had a few visits from Child Protective Services and did a runner? I think Uncle Brendan is a good guy and could end up with a bigger family.

    Chapter 8

After Randy's behaviour at Ricky's birthday party what he has done now is no real surprise. Thankfully, Maria had already seen what a bum he is and was glad she could call off the wedding. The problem is, I don't think this is the last we will hear of Randy.
  3. Is it just me or are the stories getting longer every day?
  4. With such a variety of genres and styles @kbois must be very talented.
  5. Theran's and holographic G.L.A.R.I.C. Whoever thought of that? It's going to be interesting to find out, now where's my thinking cap? 👑 👒 🎩 🎓 🧢 🪖 ⛑️ Why can't I find anything when I need it?

    Chapter 1

It is an interesting and enthralling concept, it's not my usual genre but I found it to be engaging and enjoyed reading this. I'm sure that our SA will correct that after the reveal. Now I have questions, who are the Theran and where are they? 👀
  7. He flew through the air, spinning around to lead with his right foot. Coming to the ground on the ball of his foot, he bent his leg at his ankle and knee to lessen the jarring effect of landing. While taking his first step toward the tree to take cover, he reached inside his jacket, pulled out his pistol and flicked the safety catch off, ready for action. The tree's bark felt rough as he moved behind it to avoid the oncoming assault. Then he heard the bellowing voice of the director as the tree
  8. This is the story of our people from the time of The First Lord's awakening until recent days, I may be asked to add more as time passes. This has been a time of change for our people, one where we have learned to look at our past and our future, and embrace them and the changes as we accept others and their technology into our lives. If you want to know more you must first read the story of my First Lord and our people.

    Chapter 6

Interesting developments, Ben is interested in Samantha and that interest is mutual, so where does Cameron fit in? Is Cameron going to add an interesting twist to the tale? On other matters, Guy and Tim are getting cosier wth each other without going above Kissing and cuddling. I like their progression without adding sex into the mix too soon. And, the musical is starting to come together. The exact storyline is yet to be determined but promises to be a good one.
  10. We now know a lot more about Carter and his past, but there is still more to discover. And now that Jeremy knows the truth about what happened in the fitting room what does he plan to do about it? Will he be the man that Ethan knew and loved, or will he remain an angry brat who doesn't care? I can't wait for when Jeremy wises up to Dexter, hopefully, he will get rid of the freeloading wannabe.
  11. For the foodies that like to cook here is a link to a list of 19th century English dishes, sweet and savoury. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://dejafood.uk/recipes-by-era/19th-century/&ved=2ahUKEwj9zIfTzNOHAxUQRUEAHcC-DPsQFnoECBQQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1DNLoUXvy70yM6wkM1FX9F One I fancy trying is Empty Pudding. Here's the direct link to that recipe. https://dejafood.uk/2021/05/28/empty-pudding/ If you try any let us know which ones and how it turned out.
  12. Do you think we should share the list of recipes or keep them to ourselves, lol.
  13. I'm amazed at what I found, which recipe from the list do you fancy trying?

    Chapter 7

That was a great 'coming out' for Ricky, his parents are amazing as they accept Joey as one of their own. The turn of events at the trust manager's office is mind-boggling, Ricky is one hell of a rich dude. He is in the fortunate position that he doesn't need to work, but I think he will because he loves what he does. I've got my fingers crossed hoping everything goes well for Ricky and Joey in the future, but the way you have ended the chapter worries me, I know you have something in mind.
  15. I don't know who has written Ceramic Dreams, but what I do know is this. The author has honed his/her/their craft well and shows a lot of skill in describing feelings and emotions. Whoever the author is they have done a fantastic job in writing this story.
  16. This is a sad story that is very well crafted and written. You can almost feel the emotional pain as a young man accepts and succumbs to the pressures of his parents and society. Well worth reading but remember to have a box of tissues ready, you will need them.

    Chapter 1

The solitary sadness described feels so real you can almost touch it. Lost love always hurts, but none more so than when you feel abandoned and let down in that love. It perfectly describes the fate of many young men who succumb to the pressures of doing what their parents and society expect of them. It's hard to put a timeline on when this was written, time may have moved on since the 40s, 50s, 60s etc. but for some, it is still like that today. A well-crafted and excellently written story that brought tears to my eyes as I felt the emotional pain described.
  18. I'm hoping to get some sleep tonight, but it's a warm and sticky 27c in my apartment and it's after two in the morning here.
  19. Definitely an interesting start and I can fully understand Brendan being cautious. What I don't understand is why he didn't call the local police, surely they would have an out-of-hours number for child protection. Here in the UK, the police can contact social services out of hours and an on-call social worker responds to take care of emergency cases. But I do understand this is fiction and that would not make for an interesting story.

    Chapter 26

    You have succeeded, my friend.
  21. Close, drinking cold juice and reading secret author stories.
  22. Unfortunately, there isn't a nice country landscape, I have a view of a church and the cityscape of South Manchester from my balcony. Manchester city centre is directly behind me, but I like it.
  23. Well, I've enjoyed another good story, but no clue as to who the author is.
  24. Thank you, Albert. I'm feeling a little more refreshed today and enjoying some pleasant weather while sitting outside on the balcony.
