Interesting developments, Ben is interested in Samantha and that interest is mutual, so where does Cameron fit in? Is Cameron going to add an interesting twist to the tale? On other matters, Guy and Tim are getting cosier wth each other without going above Kissing and cuddling. I like their progression without adding sex into the mix too soon. And, the musical is starting to come together. The exact storyline is yet to be determined but promises to be a good one.

We now know a lot more about Carter and his past, but there is still more to discover. And now that Jeremy knows the truth about what happened in the fitting room what does he plan to do about it? Will he be the man that Ethan knew and loved, or will he remain an angry brat who doesn't care? I can't wait for when Jeremy wises up to Dexter, hopefully, he will get rid of the freeloading wannabe.

For the foodies that like to cook here is a link to a list of 19th century English dishes, sweet and savoury. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://dejafood.uk/recipes-by-era/19th-century/&ved=2ahUKEwj9zIfTzNOHAxUQRUEAHcC-DPsQFnoECBQQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1DNLoUXvy70yM6wkM1FX9F One I fancy trying is Empty Pudding. Here's the direct link to that recipe. https://dejafood.uk/2021/05/28/empty-pudding/ If you try any let us know which ones and how it turned out.

Do you think we should share the list of recipes or keep them to ourselves, lol.

I'm amazed at what I found, which recipe from the list do you fancy trying?

That was a great 'coming out' for Ricky, his parents are amazing as they accept Joey as one of their own. The turn of events at the trust manager's office is mind-boggling, Ricky is one hell of a rich dude. He is in the fortunate position that he doesn't need to work, but I think he will because he loves what he does. I've got my fingers crossed hoping everything goes well for Ricky and Joey in the future, but the way you have ended the chapter worries me, I know you have something in mind.

This is a sad story that is very well crafted and written. You can almost feel the emotional pain as a young man accepts and succumbs to the pressures of his parents and society. Well worth reading but remember to have a box of tissues ready, you will need them.

The solitary sadness described feels so real you can almost touch it. Lost love always hurts, but none more so than when you feel abandoned and let down in that love. It perfectly describes the fate of many young men who succumb to the pressures of doing what their parents and society expect of them. It's hard to put a timeline on when this was written, time may have moved on since the 40s, 50s, 60s etc. but for some, it is still like that today. A well-crafted and excellently written story that brought tears to my eyes as I felt the emotional pain described.

I'm hoping to get some sleep tonight, but it's a warm and sticky 27c in my apartment and it's after two in the morning here.

Do I Really Need This Now?
Mancunian commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Do I Really Need This Now?
Definitely an interesting start and I can fully understand Brendan being cautious. What I don't understand is why he didn't call the local police, surely they would have an out-of-hours number for child protection. Here in the UK, the police can contact social services out of hours and an on-call social worker responds to take care of emergency cases. But I do understand this is fiction and that would not make for an interesting story.- 26 comments

You have succeeded, my friend.

Close, drinking cold juice and reading secret author stories.

Unfortunately, there isn't a nice country landscape, I have a view of a church and the cityscape of South Manchester from my balcony. Manchester city centre is directly behind me, but I like it.

Thank you, Albert. I'm feeling a little more refreshed today and enjoying some pleasant weather while sitting outside on the balcony.

Aloha Albert

What more could we ask for? We got Christmas in July and a lot of fun reading the revelations between a great group of friends. I'm not giving any spoilers, I want you to read and enjoy.

I love it, the fun, the excitement, the declarations of Jason's friends and Jason's coming out to his best friend. We could all do with a friend like Tim. But I am left with two questions. Does anything happen with Stephen in the future, and why did Jason keep the note, does he call Owen. Okay, that was three questions, what are you going to do, shoot me?

I like the developments, Tim and Guy have almost written the musical for Snowy. They later have their own romantic interlude, witnessed by Ben who appears to be turned on by it, I'm not quite sure what that says about Ben but it's going to be fun to find out.

OMG! What a chapter, it brought a few tears to my eyes but they were happy tears. It was great reading about Ollie being part of a loving family and among caring friends. Their ideas for a video to help and advise kids to avoid being preyed on is brilliant and shows how caring they all are. I hope we get to witness more of this.

Thanks Page, love you guys.

I don't think Ricky needs any help to know who he is deep inside, I think the help he needs is coming out, first to his family and then to his fans. Maybe now he has reconnected with Joey, he will want to settle down and gain the confidence he needs. But what backlash will there be if he bites the bullet and comes out? Hopefully, everything will be okay, but I suspect that at least one person will have a problem with it.

That's what has made me tired, I've been at the hospital all afternoon. Now I'm there every other day, so three times one week then four the next. It's tiring and depressing, but now I have new chapters of your story to look forward to.

Aloha my friend. I hope you're feeling more energetic than I am, I feel like I'm ready for bed already.

It's a thoroughly confusing murder mystery, but then that's what a mystery should be. Read and enjoy, but also get out the Sherlock Holmes outfit to put you in the right frame of mind for cracking the case and keeping track.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable read, even when it got confusing as to who was who. There is no such thing as the perfect murder, there are many sitting in prisons around the world, some on death row, who have discovered that at their peril. The confusion of pronouns added to the overall confusion with attempts to throw in a few red herrings also playing their part. Another read, or two, may be needed to clear the confusion and my head.
