A nice pleasant chapter with both couples getting to know each other better and learning more about Chris and Michael's history. It would have been nice to hear more about Andre and Jainie's history but if it has a connection to the abuse it's probably best left alone. While hearing about Xavier wasn't good it may have been good for Chris to share it and get it out of his system enabling him to finally draw a line on what must have been a very upsetting break-up, may Xavier rot in prison.

Okay, now we know why Andre has been reluctant to move in with Chris, and it a valid stance for him to take. By that I mean he is scarred like anyone who has been abused is scarred, the scars are not visible, they are emotional and can be very debilitating. Andre believes he is responsible for what happened as he claims to have wanted and initiated it. That's how many paedophiles operate, they groom children into believing they want this to happen, and it's a form of brainwashing and transferring the guilt to the child. This does come up again later in life for some children and can manifest in different ways. In some cases, the abused becomes an abuser, but not in every case. In Andre's case, it is the continuance of guilt and belief they are not good enough, especially after experiencing rejection from someone he trusted enough to tell. There are many other ways it can affect children later on in life to a lesser or greater degree, but all are affected. Andre needs expert help and support but he has to want it and be ready for it, if he isn't it can do more harm than good. Because of the earlier abuse, I can give him some leeway in his behaviour, it could be part of an expanded knock-on effect from the abuse. Hopefully, now their relationship will have a better chance. @Paladin you dealt with the subject matter sensitively, thank you and well done for treating this sensitive subject considerately. As for Chris disclosing his brief sexual contact with Beau, remember it also affects Sky and the baby too, disclosure could wreck their lives. I think this is one to keep quiet about.

Chris seems like a really nice guy who just wants to have a happy peaceful life and there's nothing wrong with that, but if he's not careful Andre, and Beau, will walk all over him and his feelings. Andre and Beau have me thinking of them as spoilt, entitled brats. If Chris needs to explain his actions at the party then Andre should be on his knees begging for forgiveness regardless of what happened in the bedroom. Andre's actions tell me that in Andre's opinion, his feelings matter but Chris' feelings don't, double standards again. Another well-written chapter that portrays the characters as people are in real life, it makes a story more interesting and believable.

I started reading this chapter feeling quite good, but as it went on that lessened and to a degree ended it feeling a bit miffed. Andre isn't ready to move in with Chris but feels it's okay to criticise Chris' home. He may have paid for the bedding but in my book that still does not give anyone the right to criticise. To me, it felt like Andre was saying you're okay for sex but not to live with, for me that would earn the comment 'on yer bike mate'. Then to look on jealously when Chris met Michael, who he already knows and they become a bit affectionate, in front of him and the other guests, but think it's okay to disappear behind closed doors into a bedroom and help Jaimie dress in sexy underwear smacks of double standards to me. Sorry Andre has lost my respect and now needs to work hard to earn it back. If anyone treated me like Andre has Chris in this chapter it would lead to one humdinger of an argument at the very least. Judging by some of the other comments I'm not the only one to feel that way. @Paladin please remember my rant is about the character and only that. This has the hallmarks of being a great well-written story, only good stories can generate comments like this has, keep it up. I can promise you I'll carry on reading, I'm enjoying reading it.

Yay! The way is now clear for Andre to move in with Chris when he feels ready, hopefully, it won't be too long. Andre and Beau are lucky to have a decent accepting family with good parents, there are many families and parents who could learn a lot from them.

A nicely paced chapter to get the story started, then we get the cliffie at the end, that makes us want the next chapter even quicker. What am I complaining about, lol, I'm binge reading I can go straight there. 😊

Wow! I love the slow start and the build-up making this a short love story that draws us in. Nicely written in a way that I could almost feel the love. Thank you.

Okay so I was wrong on most counts, but it was still fun and I enjoyed reading Beau's story. With Chris' help Beau became comfortable in his own skin and has a HEA with Skye, which is a good thing. But as for Andre, well he had me fooled I didn't think he wanted anything long-term, but I'll find out the truth in the sequel, I'll be reading it soon. Thank you @Paladin for sharing this story.

I still think Andre is trying to bed Chris, I also wonder if Beau is trying to pair them off, but who knows I'm never very good at guessing. But I do think everything is going too good for Skye and Beau, I'm wondering when the other boot will drop if you get my drift. I suspect Beau is at least Bi and that smelly stuff just might hit the fan.

An enjoyable BBQ with no fights, just Andre's challenge. I'm guessing Andre is gay but is he interested in Chris or does he like playing the field? As for Calvin well, what's his number? Drat, his Uber is too far away, lol.

It all seems very strange to me, does Skye know and approve of what has happened between them? I know if I was Chris I'd feel uncomfortable with a situation like this, but whatever floats your boat I suppose.

Chapter 1 - An Accidental Meeting
Mancunian commented on Paladin's story chapter in Chapter 1 - An Accidental Meeting
An interesting, unusual and fun way to start the story. I'm wondering what Beau really wants, is it a friendship, friends with benefits or something else? I'm also intrigued as to how he knows Chris is gay, has he been following him to gay bars or maybe stalking him on social media? I'm intrigued and want to know where this is leading. -
Aloha Albert. welcome to today's entertainment, it's the same as yesterday's, I'm calling it the argument of the retards with the way they behave. Why can't they be nice, polite and civilised like you and I?

I love it, Christmas in July, what could be better, lol. This is a great series of short stories that I loved reading and love to go back to every once in a while. This is definitely a recommended read. -
He could have watched it with me, no matter what the final score is we could have had a happy ending. 😉

Alcaraz has won! Do you think he would come to my place to collect a special prize I have for him.
-
Alcaraz is winning 2 sets to nil. He's such a hunk, phwaor.

A nice introduction to two interesting characters, it leaves everything open to go any one of many directions. I'm looking forward to where this leads us.

Wow, what starts as a beautiful chapter about the growing love and relationship between Scott and Justin turns into a lesson on how cruel Mother Nature can be. Let's hope Scott gets to Justin and uses good local knowledge to get them out of this situation. Scott was 'blinded' by the attractive boy before him and dropped his guard against the rigours of Mother Nature, I'm hoping for a good outcome in the next chapter.

Chapter 3: A scary situation turns into Carter's favor.
Mancunian commented on vanalas's story chapter in Chapter 3: A scary situation turns into Carter's favor.
I love @Cane23's speculations as crazy as they may appear, but then so much has been thrown into the mix anything is possible. Carter's past has a strange parallel that attracts him to Jeremy, are we going to discover that Jeremy's mum is a dead-ringer for Carter's aunt? Is Jeremy's mum in league with Dexter to pair them up and relieve Jeremy of his fortune? The children, especially Oliver, see the similarity that Carter has to Ethan just like Jeremy does. And then Jeremy gives Carter a job in gratitude for his brave and selfless actions, which is commendable, but has he given him a task in the belief that he can complete it like Ethan would? So much is going on it's intriguing and leaves a lot of questions that need to be answered. This is just getting even more interesting. -
He can't, Boom Boom blew up the micro-wave
