    Chapter 1

It's good to see that Joe and Ken are still together and taking care of Tom and now the family has grown with the addition of George, I like it. Ken's questioning nature that led him to become a detective is rubbing off on the boys, it's their questioning nature and persistence that has got Ken checking on their teacher's welfare. But what a discovery! We won't know what's happened until they get inside and even then not until the M.E has got involved. What is Miss Sach's involvement, or has she suffered the same fate as Mr Hamm? (hurries on to the next chapter in the hope of finding out)
  2. Carlo is back at work too soon, and as for treating Simon, what is he thinking? He could be heading for a major mental breakdown if he's not careful.
  3. It looks like Dr M made a few mistakes, patients should never be invited to group sessions after a single visit. It takes several consultations to determine if a patient is suitable for group therapy, but inviting a father and son to this particular type of group therapy session is wrong, it breaches many codes of conduct. When it was apparent that Duncan was about to walk into a room with his attacker should have rung alarm bells and should never have been allowed to happen. As for Simon, where the fuck is he coming from, he is the cause of allowing Duncan to be assaulted in the first place because of his own fears. When Simon smiled at Duncan it gave Duncan and Dr M a false sense of security, so blaming Duncan for his father's arrest is so unfair. Dr M's judgment may have been clouded by his upset at losing his first patient but now he will regret that even more after losing another patient, this time though he is in part to blame. As a result, he has even bigger problems, including his own mental health.
  4. Wow, it's only been a few days since I was last in here and look what's happening, Drew is celebrating his birthday! Well even if you are trying to keep your age secret, happy birthday @Drew Espinosa, I wish you many more and hope you enjoy your celebrations. 🎂🍾
  5. I'm good thanks, just binge-reading The Naptown Tales, lol.
  6. Aloha my friend, how are you and Steve this fine Easter Monday?
  7. I have a suspicion that you will.
  8. A nice dramatic start to the chapter that shows how psychiatrists can be affected by their patients. I love the way you showed Carlo as human and needing support too. As I was told many years ago, even the counsellor needs counselling, how else could they do their job effectively? The brief holiday was a good idea for Carlo and his family, relaxation is important for anyone doing a stressful job. The prank at the end of the chapter was a nice, lighthearted way to end, it also shows how gay men are wrongfully viewed by many in society. As you correctly pointed out, research shows that straight men are more prevalent predators in both numbers and population ratio. The research also showed that straight men are more likely to sexually assault boys than gay men, a shameful a shocking fact that is often denied and overlooked.

    Prologue

This looks like the start to an interesting read, now it's on to chapter 1 to confirm my suspicions.
  10. Detective Ken Hell's second case is full of red herrings and keeps you guessing. An entertaining read that also establishes a settled home life for our protagonist. I'm looking forward to Ken's next case and I think you will too when you read this.

    Chapter 8

This is a great chapter to wrap everything up and keep Ken, Joe and Tom safe. Luckily no one else was killed, which is a relief, but it still leaves Kieth grieving for his father. I'm looking forward to Ken's next case and preparing for the inevitable red herrings, lol.

    Chapter 1

Luckily I survived that low period in my life and I feel that I'm stronger for it. I enjoy posting stories on GA which is something I never thought I would do, I enjoy getting to know others on the site and have made some friends as a result and hope I will continue to make more friends.

    Part 7

I think that helping others is something that will help Christian too. He is a good man who knows he has been fortunate even though he has suffered.

    Part 6

I couldn't agree with you more, now the asshole is out on his ass.

    Part 5

Yes, it's another traumatic time for Christian when we all have sympathy for him. It is also a time when he shows a lot of strength and determination, you have to admire that.

    Part 4

I can't tell you what's next, you have to read on, lol.

    Chapter 7

Well now we have conclusive proof that John Cole is the murderer and there is a twist to the tale in that John's brother Georgie has befriended Tom. This to clean-cut for me so what's the next twist to the tale? Is Georgie aware and complicit in John's crimes? Or is John so deranged that he is even prepared to endanger, or possibly kill, his own brother to wreak his twisted vengeance? Or has our author got some other macabre twist in mind? I'm eager to know and impatient to find out.

    Part 3

with the time of year I'm calling my allergies hay fever, lol.

    Part 3

With the trauma that young John has been, and to a degree still is, going through he was probably blinkered to much of what was going on around him. Emily and Philip did not want to build John's hopes up in case anything spoiled their plans. I'm happy to say their plans worked out.

    Part 2

Young John is going through a lot of trauma and confusion at the same time which makes every appear much worse to a young boy. I think he is in good hands.

    Part 1

It is the only way to find out, but all will become clear in time.

    The Last Goodbye

Thank you for the complimentary comment. As I have said previously, this is not something I thought about, it is something that was in my head one day when I woke up, it wouldn't go away until I had it written down. Even now I'm still not sure where it came from.
