    Epilogue

My apologies Doc for not giving the tissue warning, we have stopped chopping the onions now, lol Including the Triumph in the story is a homage to my dad who restored one when I was a child and enjoyed taking us all out for a drive in it, that was just before it was considered a classic. The Mini is one I would love to restore myself if I had the skills and the opportunity. I have enjoyed writing this story and working with Terry to bring it to you. I like writing stories that show what can happen when we give help to those who need it. Thank you for supporting us and commenting throughout the story.

    Epilogue

Thank you Gary for commenting and supporting me throughout the story. Comments like this and support from an author I admire are priceless. I'm happy that you have enjoyed the story and like the names of the pups, Christine and Mary Beth is too much of a mouthful, but Cagney and Lacey isn't, lol.

    Epilogue

Thank you for commenting @Butcher56. I love the very eloquent summary of the story and I'm very happy that you enjoyed it.
  9. Aloha Albert, I hope you and Steve are feeling better now. I hope you enjoy the epilogue. I will be starting a new story soon, I just have to decide who's story to tell, do I write a new character, or do I expand on an an existing story? decisions, decisions.
  10. Morning Nick. Writing the story has been fun and sometimes it felt like riding an emotional roller coaster. Yes, I'll miss the boys, they are good guys who are fun and lovable. But I'll miss the others too, especially Harry (Gramps). But I will write about them again. I'll be taking a short break from writing before getting to grips with more from the series. I think Terry needs a break from editing too.

    Epilogue

A large part of the reason for the short delay in posting was that I got emotional writing it, it is difficult to write with tears blurring your vision. I love these boys and I didn't really want to say goodbye to them, I think I'll be catching up with them at some point in the future. I hope you will be ready for another dive into The Boot World, there are more stories still to come.
  12. Psst, the epilogue has just been posted.
  13. After the New Year celebrations, Harry decided it was time to re-organise the house to work better for 'his family'. The first thing Harry tackled was Mikey’s bedroom. Harry wanted to keep cherished memories of Mikey but make room for his new grandsons, Charlie and Michael to have a room each. There were many mementoes for Harry to keep, his favourite being a folder that Michael had created. It was Michael's personal journal. It held photos taken over the years of family holidays and outings. Ea
  14. I agree with every word you say. I will also add that if readers like a story enough to leave a reaction and/or comment, please remember to recommend the story and leave a review. These are also important factors that other readers take into account when deciding to read a story. if you want to share the story with other readers, story reactions, recommendations and reviews are the best way to do it as they bring it more to everyone's attention. Thank you @JamesSavik for this forum post, as an author I appreciate you bringing this to our attention and reminding readers how they can show their appreciation of an author's hard work.
  15. I felt something reading this chapter and I know what it was. I felt a little bit of nervous jealousy which soon faded away and I felt a lot of love because this chapter was filled with it! You could feel the love between Lucas and Jubal, a lot of that is because Jubal is more settled and feels comfortable in his own skin. It's almost like we have a new Jubal! But there was a lot more love than that, there is also the love of friendship to be found here. Reid is proving to be an excellent friend, one who only wants friendship in return. He respects Lucas 'right to love who he chooses and respects Jubal as being that man and one who has proven his love for Jubal. Then a bit of healthy jealousy creeps back in as Reid wants the same as they have, let's hope by buying the next piece of land over he can find at least a little of what Lucas and Jubal have. It could be with Billy, or Billy may just be a catalyst for Reid finding it elsewhere, but I doubt that. I think at some point Billy will be Reid's man. Thank you Gary for another excellent chapter that keeps on drawing us in.

    Chapter 15

This tells me that you have been immersed in the story, which I love to know. Maybe I should talk to Kate and Stacy and get them to write a recipe book of their favourite food, lol. Thank you for commenting Dan, it is appreciated.
  17. I think I know what you would like to say, or at least pretty close to it. It is yet another travesty that the powers that be have attempted to hide hoping it will go away, another is the way patients were infected with Hep C and HIV by the NHS, for years it was covered up and even when it was publicised it has gone largely ignored. What the media has done for the post office victims is to be commended and needs to be repeated for others too.

    Chapter 15

Thank you for the complimentary comment, my friend. I hope you are feeling much better. I will be taking a short break before picking up the pen again, but the epilogue to this story will be posted next week. There are many stories still to be told about the characters from The New Boot and The Old Shoe Factory, I don't know yet who's story will be told I'm waiting for one of them to talk to me. I promise I'll keep you informed. If anyone wants to be kept informed about new stories either follow me as an author or follow the link below to The Boot World forum and you will know as soon as any news is available.

    Chapter 15

I'm glad that you found the story so emotionally touching. It's always great to hear that a story has resonated with someone on a deep level. Harry and the boys certainly make a loving family, and I'm glad that their journey touched you in such a positive way. To receive comments like this from an author of your standing and calibre is a great compliment. Thank you for commenting and sharing your thoughts with me, I appreciate your support.
  20. This one needs some thought. 🤔
  21. I'm making notes for the epilogue. I want it to flow properly from the chapter posted on Tuesday.
  22. I hope Billy's dad isn't that bigotted idiot who tried to question Jubal outside the store.
  23. Hi Terry hows things
  24. All is good here, I hope you and Aod are recovering from all of your celebrating.
  25. Aloha Albert, how are you and Steve today?
