  1. #justmakingupfacts would be more like it. I reckon it's more a case of which of the pair of yous is the lesser of the two non-innocents... I'm thinking ma fée diabolique may just win that competition... (By the merest whisker) (Of course, I could be wrong... )
  2. And the word is zoombie, ma cherie.

The way I read it he's talking to the author of his life. And perhaps giving said author the occasional hint as to how his life should really be written. Now, the answer to the question as to whether that author might actually be our own @Yeoldebard, I know not...
  4. For once in his life, wee Drew gets it right.
  5. Now, why don't I believe you...?
  6. G'day, bro! Chilly enough day here, as well. Though not much in the way of brightness. And it's always nice to receive prezzies. Shows people are thinking of you.
  7. Howdy, young Drew! Napoleon...? He was that short fellow, wasn't he?
  8. Hi, Drew. Not me.
  9. I wouldn't worry about it, bro. It was only a link to a "Happy Monday" Schulz cartoon.
  10. Sweet dreams, B!
  11. Well, I'm now back in the house, having spent the last hour or so planting my winter onion sets in the drizzle. I had temporarily to lay down planks to stand on, so to avoid compacting the wet soil too much as I was working. But I really wanted to get the small sets into the ground before the soil temperature drops that much that they wouldn't be able to break their dormancy before that happens. The danger then would be that they would simply rot before the soil warms up again in the spring. I've actually a bag of daffodil (narcissus) bulbs that I bought over a month ago that I really should get planted in the next few weeks as well. Typical of me, I stuck the unopened bag into the outside storage area and then promptly forgot about it... Anyway, I need a cup of hot coffee and a bite to eat before I do anything else.
  12. G'day, everyone!
  13. To be completely honest, when I looked at that picture I thought he looked "artificial" - more like a shop front dummy than a real human being...
  14. Believe what you want, ma fée diabolique!
  15. So are you saying you actually deserve bad weather?
  16. If I'd truly dumped it down your way, how come I'm still suffering it up my way?
  17. Time to cuddle up with a good book, methinks, Val. and maybe a glass of your favourite wine (or hot drink).
  18. Hey, Drew!
  19. Yes... The outbreaks in the US are making news this side of The Pond, as well. Here in Ireland we're about half-way through a "Level 5" lockdown (the highest level available, short of putting everyone under curfew), due to end on Dec 1st, and designed to stop a worrying rise in infections seen in September and October. Positive cases, hospitalisations, and numbers in intensive care units, are all slowly falling, making the possibility of a semi-normal Christmas look a bit more likely...
  20. Hey, Albert! Hope all's well with you, today. And that any movements of the earth you feel are caused just by you and Steve's activities, this time.
  21. Happy Sunday, everyone! A dampish sort of day here. Overcast and drizzle at the moment, with the temperature at about 8°C/46°F, but a real feel of several degrees less... Spent about half an hour earlier out in the garden tidying up an approximately metre-and-a-half (5 foot) wide strip where I grew garden peas in the summer. I have some winter onion sets I intend to plant there, that should give me some early onions next year, to fill the gap until the maincrop (storable over the winter) ones are ready. It started to drizzle whilst I was forking the soil over and removing the inevitable weed roots. We're promised more of the same sort of weather for much of the coming week, but I really must get these onion sets planted as soon as possible. I'm back in the house at the moment trying to warm myself up with a mug of coffee and a slice of banana cake. I'll check outside again in half an hour or so and decide whether to continue gardening today or not. There's a brand new teak back door sitting on trestles in the store area still needing varnishing before it's hung. If the weather stays wet, I may make a start on that instead of trying to plant onion sets in wet, sticky soil...
  22. Once again, I'm all Zoomed out...
  23. Hope the three of you had a good night's sleep.
  24. Tired.... Good night, all!
