    Chapter 9

Ahhhh... so Miriam has a tremendous change coming herself. Such events can make us reevaluate, well, everything. And Harry. He's their friend, yet, he's also a man, and attracted to Louis. What a wonderful, tangled web.

    Chapter 8

Wow, great chapter. Sweet, with hopes that are not crushed, but allowed to grow and become the realness they both needed. And now talk of children. That's a pretty ice-creamy topping to this installment.

    Chapter 7

Ahhhh... hope comes in many forms. In this instance, it's the slightest tingle and reaction to the man Don loves. Sweet, longing, and hopeful. Good chapter. 🙂

    Chapter 6

Doubts are bound to happen. It's hard to watch them in a loving relationship... when external pressures make the typically serene contents begin to boil. That's what we're seeing. I hope they find their way.

    Chapter 5

Adjustment isn't easy. It's hard, slippery, and progress is so easily lost to despair and fear. You did a great job showing the trials these young guys face. Love will carry us through much, and so far it has. But, it's so hard to miss something so much that you had with someone. You can't help but feel that sadness Louis feels. Nicely done, tim. Good chapter.

    Chapter 4

I love how Louis surprises himself with his strength, and the continued support from Rena. It's a great example of how terrible and wonderful family can be. This was a fantastic chapter, tim. Nicely done.

    Chapter 3

I learned a new word tonight - Rusticated. Nice chapter, tim. It's about time they caught a break with the nice house, farm, and even the granny flat close at hand. I'm awfully partial to farms, though. 😄

    Chapter 2

I like the details... the little details that show lives changed, and the real struggles Louis and Rena understand that they will face. I love that Louis is human, that he feels these negative emotions that nobody would ever want to admit to, yet they're something that we all have. Great chapter, tim.

    Requiem

Hehehe. Pretty much, yes. Okay... I woke up to 50+ notifications, so please don't be offended if I miss responding to something! 😮

    Expectations

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed that wake-up! 😊

    Brotherly Love

Thanks, Danilo! Hahaha... I like how you picked out those lines. Yeah, Caleb is honestly clueless right now. Well, he was. Now he has a clue that he really doesn't want. 😄

    Farmer Wren

🙂 Keep on reading. See if you're right or not. But... yes, something's going on there, eh?

    Packmates

LOL. Well, I'm glad you are jonsing for it. I hope to have Bluegrass wrapped up on Sunday. By Wednesday or Thursday, I want to have the next chapter of Silverwolf written. Something Silverwolf has going for it is that it's so fun to write. Thanks for inquiring. More is on the way.
  14. You liked that, eh? That little moment with Wren and Caleb? 🙂 Good. Wade is human. I know that's tough to believe, but... yes, he's human. And with Jason's actions against their brother Kyle, he realized just how awful he had pushed his brothers to be. He's still a greedy bastard, but... he's just less monstrous about it. Rachel is a good mom. If Sheriff Keen can't fall in line... well, Rachel will cut him loose.
  15. Thanks for the great comment, Jeffrey. We've still got one more to go. I hope you enjoy that one too!
  16. Wayne Gray

    Requiem

Oh god, yes. Wren has evolved in so many ways since we first met him. 😊

    Requiem

Wade was shocked to his core at how far Jason was willing to go to save himself. He’s aware that fear of HIM had a big part to play in why Jason tried to frame Kyle. He’s also aware that their greed brought this disaster down on them in the first place. So Wade is feeling responsible for things. Wren ran quite the gamut of emotions in the chapter. But, you’re right - ultimately, he’s right where he belongs. 😊 Thanks for reading and commenting!
  18. That looks super fresh, @MrM. Thanks for sharing. Great Summer food!
  19. Thanks, Parker. Yeah. They're all gonna be all right. That sex scene was the longest I've ever written, but it needed to show how Wren had changed. How gentle and caring he had become toward Caleb. I hope that came through. Those uncles have made a pivot toward something better. Wade's not exactly a saint, but... even he has become tolerable. I'm glad you liked the chapter.
  20. Thanks, Tom. Ahhh... we'll have to see if everything gets answered or not. Maybe I wanted a tiny bit of mystery left. I mean, that'd give a fellow a reason to revisit these characters down the road if I did. 😁
  21. Oh man. I bet that'd be great with sweet potato too for a little lower on the glycemic index. Thanks, molly!
  22. Good. Meetings... but they're paying me. So, that's good. 🙂 Thanks for asking, rick.
  23. Howdy, all. I hope the day has treated everyone well so far. 🙂
  24. I don’t know if there’s a way to completely redeem Wade. Wade does get free work, AND he lorded it over Caleb as soon as they sealed the deal. Lol. He’s a dick. 😜. Kyle... he’s a different case. He’s a bit of a gentler soul when left to his own devices, so we’ll see.
  25. I wouldn’t know where to start... 😳
