Well that was different!! I wish I'd known about this technique at the time as I wouldn't have been thrown off my music " O Level" course. I went from being a talented soprano to not being able to sing a note once my voice "broke". Almost 40 years later I still can't sing in tune or find the right pitch at all. I was and still am devastated as it was a big part of my life & I've missed singing sooooo much. If only the treatment really existed!...... Plus I've been a bit of an exhibitionist in the past so large audiences???..... yummy!!...... Lol 😱🤯🤩🤩🤩🤣☺️🤣🤣🤣❤❤❤

I'm a great believer in what goes around comes back around so helping good long term tenants/neighbour's in trouble was a great thing for them to have done. Community spirit can be in short supply at times & certainly here in the UK good deeds like this are needed more than ever this year with the cost of living & energy price crisis that are gripping us! As with my comments above it's that blurring of the lines of real life & dramatic fiction especially with a master story teller who does his research!

I grew up near "The Priory" Edwin renovated in Fife Scotland we played in the ruined gardens! It was about a mile from home n a big day out adventure Lol hard when a fictional story n character's have homes & settings that exist in real life Lol! Quokka's in depth research to locations especially is second to none !!

Isn't it a bit presumptive that a boy to which he he was the sperm donor for will become his heir? He has no parental rights unless it was agreed at the time of donation surely!? The child has a natural mother & potentially an adoptive father (or not). So why presume this and considering buying a house for strangers?? To me in my personal opinion that is almost creepy!? A fabulous story that will bring back what should be happy memories of people's childhoods & moving into young adults main external entertainment source & for those that might have even fleetingly worked in the industry, memories, situations that they can relate to or triggers for memories not directly related but which are personal to them or of people & places for which they hadn't thought of for many years that might just put a smile on your face or make you reflect on happy times!?!?!? It's a special thing to be able to evoke all of that in a fictional story even losely based on the author's own experiences! Thank you!! 😉🤩🤩🤩🤩❤❤❤

Even nowadays female projectionists are still in the minority. Until about 6 years ago I was a trustee of a theatre complex that doubled as a single screen cinema with the older reel to reel projectors with celluloid melting n speakers going on the fritz at times! In the front of the stalls rows of seats could be taken out n we then had an amazing fully sprung dance floor!! It was a monstrosity of a early 1960's concrete building which I think is now called "brutalistic post modernist architecture" shit to look at but because of its literal seafront location it was lovely to be inside it looking out at the bay & over to the "Needles" on the I.O.W. I was a hands on guy n loved nothing more than getting a call to say they were short staffed & could I spare a few hours n help them out. I was well known locally as I was a business owner n known to be a trustee but few ever expected to see us pitching in we were the back room group that did the money side & the problem solvers etc etc etc. Fun time! Thanks bringing back some good memories!!!

Well executed first 2 chapters, I've loved most of your stories and I've re-read some of them too, but for some reason this one just leaves me feeling disinterested & bordering on bored. Perhaps I'm missing a trick here!????? Sorry!!!!!
