I almost said a spoiler last chapter comments...sorry. Have to consider the possibility of things ending with Micah and then...Asher again? I like both characters so whatever happens ,happens. One case was reserved for his collection of detective novels, many of which were autographed first editions. Did you sign one of yours for Novak @Josh Aterovis?

What @mayday said about Kitt's dad. I wonder if he was one to have fun when he was younger because he seems clueless to Kitt's state of mind.I wonder what Christmas is like at that house. “I just… didn’t know how to say things. So I didn’t say anything.” And for the most part they still haven't said much at least not in any detail. I guess Matt saying 'I miss you" was an icebreaker of sorts......Oh that might be an unfortunate choice of words see how they spend time at a lake thats starting to freeze over

Disappointed to hear how Tad is acting. Adam said something similar what @RichardWrites commented on last chapter and I have to agree it is a huge ask of Micah because Killian is only 18. If I remember right Nikki knows Lily Snyder (correct me if I'm wrong) I ask this because I wonder how Killian gets in contact with the characters from the previous story. If I'm right then I could see Nikki bringing this up to Killian after he has that awkward conversation with Asher.

Okay I'm a little confused (as usual) and not by the chapters being out of order. I forgot to ask this yesterday but I thought The Warlock and Carel was trying to avoid The Dark Lord but here it looks like they are working for him. Did I miss a chapter?

Unless I misread the chapter Jason has been on the streets and then Will took him to his house and Andrew and Peter say they are coming. During those two months there was no mention of Denton and his thugs doing anything. Now that they say they are taking the Mule to get Jason these thugs show up like they know that. I don't think Denton and his neanderthals are smart enough to bug phones so how did they find out?

I have to agree with @drpaladin the scene with the twins melted my heart. “So,” she said slowly, “the guy you were trying to kill a few weeks back… is now dead? How… convenient.” I like the character Gretchen but here she was STUPID!!!! grabbed Cliff’s arm, and dragged him around behind the garage, already hissing at him under her breath.Hey Moron..er Monica Cliff is the best thing to happen to you better then you deserve are you trying to F that up also? Between me and Cliff…and Monica, we’ll get everything in order over here. No child left behind.” The only thing wrong with that perfect statement is the pause should have been longer 'Between me and Cliff and....................................monica

I wonder if Sean will ask Gabriel something unexpected and Gabriel gives a wrong answer? Gabriel immediately spotted a man trying his best to look nondescript as he casually leaned against a column as he thumbed absently through a battered magazine. The man was attempting to look thoroughly engrossed in the magazine but couldn’t stop himself from looking at every person that walked by. Maybe Lonnie wasn’t as experienced as he first thought. How lame who reads a magazine these days. Lonnie should have have been looking at his phone instead maybe even pretending to be having a conversation on said phone
