Like @Seraph28 I had scary flashbacks with my experience with Finals. I looked you don't have the Horror category listed in this story. I was just so proud that he could get through his exams considering all the emotional turmoil he’d been through recently,Actually in Jack's case I think finals were the perfect distractions for Jack to not think about that letter. Like @Summerabbacat this got my attention And yet, even as I lay there smiling, a small part of me wondered how long this fragile peace could last. I went OH NO!!! this is foreshadowing what does @LittleBuddhaTW have planned. And I bet it happens while Jack is in Seattle.

I have a few thoughts but I'm thinking I'm probably wrong I usually can't guess with @Laura S. Fox stories. I am eagerly awaiting what other readers have to say. “No, I just happened to glean it when you were filling out the housing application at the start of the year.” That sounds like me in Middle school. Our schools ID's had our address on it and I just happened to see the address of an insanely cute boy on his card. Funny thing was after that I always seemed to ride my bike past his house ...wonder why🤔

Good chapter but....... How does the word punishment fit in this chapter title🤔 -
Everybody in this chapter exceeded my expectations (In Jack's sperm donor and incubator case sunk lower then my expectations) Jonah response was surprisingly good and I expected Jack to be more upset. Nick is certainly smarter than I .I would have waited until they were back home with Nick's mom to tell Jack .Yeah I guess that's weasely Miss Charice was perfect.Could you imagine if Nick had a panic attack and had to go to Johnston? I know legalese is written that way for a pupose but This firm represents Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Thompson (“the Thompsons”), Really??? I Was so confused thanks for clearing that up for me

The Coach was classy in how he reacted.I'm curious if he heard any gossip. “I’ll show you my favorite spot on the ranch tomorrow,” “We just have to dodge Trace’s trail cameras.” Some have speculated that Colt and Davin may have had an encounter when they were younger....Wonder if that's the reason why it's Davin's favorite spot🤔

As far as Jonah stunt and Nick's reaction well you're only human even if you try hard not to be and that goes more so when you are that age. As far as @Altimexis calling on Nick to tell Jack he makes makes a great case for Nick to do so but if that letter say what I'm afraid it will say then there is no way that will happen at this time

Are we going to get any update on how Blanche is doing these days. Did you guess why I named Lyn's mom Blanche? I can't say why. I have no reason to say why I retained this memory but I remember the word meaning pure or white.There was a Queen in old France with that name so it may be associated with nobility and that would explain why they would be at an event like that. All I know is (And I know this doesn't apply to all with this name) Every Blanche that I met or was aware of made me want to blanche

I keep going back and forth on what Nate is going to do .He keeps saying how beautiful it is where they are at. If Nate wants out this would have worked in the U.S. back in 77 (I know someone who did something like that) he could go to the place he's supposed to report with Nate and Danny and plant two wet goodbye kisses on both of them in front of the right people . (Hey anybody have a better idea?)

Jack by picking option one pretty much guaranteed the slime balls will challenge in the future. One could hope they are into themselves so much they don't notice Bev's problem but geez a deaf blind man can see there is.

With testimony from the nannies ,Nick and a lack of anybody else who would want to do that to Jack plus I'd sure there are some statistics that show those kind of scars on a kids back is usually from a parent
